my skin had started breaking out and was getting very dry so i whipped this out since i hadn't used in a while. applied it at night and the next morning i woke up literally my face was almost clear. i was shocked cuz i didn't even know this product could do that! i started applying it every night and since then my skin has been getting clearer and clearer. I barely have any redness, it took care of my pores and just made my skin feel absolutely amazing. very happy with this product and i am 100% buying it again!

This is a wonderful, basic moisturizer. I have combo skin (my T-zone is slightly oily and cheeks are normal) and this moisturizes my whole face perfectly. Feels very emollient going on, but never heavy or suffocating. The formula is a bit runny, but it still manages to do a perfect job of leaving my skin comfortably moisturized and supple. I love the basic, utilitarian packaging of this, and this will last a long time as only a pea size is needed for my whole face as it spreads very easily. I should mention this has a light fragrance which I find very pleasant, it's not bothersome or heavy at all. If you are looking for a no frills moisturizer that does the job, then you may want to try this. It has become a staple in my skincare routine!

I picked up a tube of Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre out of curiousity--it seems to have quite a buzz in online beauty circles. The real star of this product is the texture--it feels luxurious! Like others have said, it feels very nice and rich when putting it on (be careful of squeezing out too much--a little goes a long way). So I definitely do love the texture--it's unlike any other moisturizer I have tried in that respect; it glides on like a dream! But after the initial squeeze from the tube and slathering it on my face, I'm a little less certain of its legendary status as a *moisturizer*. Rather than retaining/bringing hydration to my face, it just seems to create a (slightly better than mediocre) barrier for my skin from the elements. Don't get me wrong, I do like the moisturizer, but I feel there is a slight mismatch between the texture of the moisturizer itself (e.g., how it *feels* when poured out and smoothed onto the skin) and its actual *performance* as a moisturizer. Suffice to say that I'm more in love with the feeling (texture) of the moisturizer than its performance as a moisturizer. If performance is more of a concern for you (e.g., hydration is your #1 priority, regardless of moisturizer texture), then you may or may not want to try this out.

Definitely agree with the 'good but not magical' sentiment below me. This is a decent, sturdy, simple moisturiser that smells nice, feels nice and is absolutely A-ok if your skin isn't too troublesome and all you want is a little straightforward quenching after your cleansing. My skin is dry but prone to the odd breakout (usually hormonal, natch) and/or tiny patch of eczema every now and again, and this cream didn't cause me to break out in pimples or a rash, but it didn't work any miracles as far as improving the look of my nice-but-not-astoundingly-perfect skin was concerned. I had run out of my holy grail (the Frankincense Nourishing Cream from Neal's Yard) and the Embryolisse that I stealthily nicked from my little sister's bedside shelf tided me over nicely until I was able to cobble together enough pennies to replace my Neal's Yard. As an aside, the Embryolisse also doubles as a good cream cleanser if you're in a pinch - my skin has definitely felt cleaner after using other cleansers, but this didn't leave a film. And it definitely did take my makeup RIGHT off. It's more than passable as a cleanser as well as a moisturiser.

One thing I will say - unless you have the driest, dustiest skin in all the galaxy, this is a no-no under any kind of moisturising, sheen-giving, glow-imparting makeup. I'm thinking this might have something to do with the mineral oil content. It would probably be great under quite a heavy matte foundation but I found that when I used Embryolisse under my 'not a tinted moisturiser, not yet a foundation' By Terry Sheer Expert, even in moderation, I looked oily as a wok within 20 minutes. continued >>

Overall this cream is not bad but it's certanly not magical either. Its moisturizing properties are average, I have combination yet very dehidrated skin and it did nothing to help it. I have noticed small lines forming around my eyes in the last couple of months since I've been using it that weren't there before which tells me it's time to go back to my trusted routine (Darphin's Arovita C + Hydraskin serum) I don't even find it very good as a primer. What this does however is it gives you a dewy look and I think it could really work for someone with already flawless skin for a more healthy look.

I, like everyone, have been hearing about this product for just about EVER (Lait Creme Concentre, which this page doesn't specify for whatever reason) and I decided to hunt it down when I was last in NYC. I purchased mine at a Ricky's store, which is kinda like a makeup artisty inclined beauty supply store, and it's not hard to come across one in nyc- they had the whole embryolisse range from the looks of it. The word "Primer" is very often thrown around in reference to this skincare item, for whatever reason, I personally LOVE primers and was intrigued. It's a thin cream that applies very easily and has a good bit of slip, it's not thick which is good, I was expecting something thick. When I just put this on and rub it in, give it a slight pat my skin just looks... better, it's quite strange. It almost looks... brighter, instantly less red if I've just washed my face, and has a bit of a dewy sheen. Really just, healthy. NOW: I have oily skin, one of the reasons I like primers and the sort is that they can stop me from getting very shiny and they can prevent overall makeup breakdown throughout the day. I bought this the first week of june, so you can see where i started to get a little skeptical about this cream doing big things for my oily skin and the imposing summertime... Something about this product just... makes my makeup look better, last longer, and preform perhaps just bit more to my liking. It has provided my skin with some of the "Primer" effects that are common, elongates the wear, keeps it looking nice- but in terms of oil doesn't do much- BUT, doesn't make me oilier than any other moisturizers i've used. As a skincare product it has some pretty good ingredients (I can't find the little insert it comes with, sorry) things that help your skin preform at it's best and i believe I remember seeing ingredients that have anti aging properties, so overall it seems well rounded in that respect. My opinions aren't fully developed, and i personally like to wait before reviewing something but this product really doesn't need it. All in all I will say this: I can see why this is so popular. Your skin really just takes it, it's thin but nourishing- so the "all skin types" claim on the tube is correct, but I can see where oilier people may OR MAY NOT (me) come to have issues with this. It does does SOMETHING to makeup, slight, but it just makes it look... better, and so the "Primer" effect of this is pretty cool especially cause it's a moisturizer and primes as one product. I recommend anyone check this out if you're interested, like i said it's one of those things that just works, and I can't see it not working on someone- but of course I could be wrong. If you're thinking about it, I think you should absolutely give it a try, buy the small size or make sure you can return it if things go awry.

I have been using this for about a month now. At first, I did not like it because I have oily skin so it felt too moisturizing. But then after I played around with it I figured it out! I only use a small pea size amount and let it sink in for about ten minutes before I apply any makeup. I do not use a primer (never have anyway) and my makeup goes on SO smoothly! I use a "stay matte" foundation and I really do stay matte all day! If I use too much, I look oily but I take the extra off with a cotton towel. It takes a while to get accustomed to the amount of moisture it adds to my skin but this is now my HG moisturizer! I have acne prone skin too and this has not broken me out at all!

I love this product, had used it in London a few years ago and found that Scotty's make up and beauty online shop based in Australia stock this - and ship overnight via express post! So cheap, so lovely, perfect under make up. I have combination skin and have no issues with this at all, I simply love it. I use a small amount during the day, and slather it on at night. I also use the spray toner - divine and would like to get my hands on the eye cream too!

Yes, I fell for the 'Pixiwoo hype' too, and am very disappointed. I have combo skin and this did nothing for my dry or oily parts of my skin. In fact, it made my skin drier! It is also a poor primer too. Glad I only bought a small tube, but feel this is another product that I have wasted money on.

I fell for the hype and the cult following. I think that this a nice moisturiser in that it is simple and feels quite 'fine', not too thick, not too greasy. It does the job of basic moisturisation well but if you are looking for something to have an impact on fine lines etc then this isn't it. Of course no skin cream really does that much for those concerns but some seem better than others. I think I can find products that do a similar job to this for less money and that are easier to track down in the UK.
