i really love this liner. It's really easy to mix and control and the brown color is perfect for my eyebrows and beauty marks when I feel like adding them. It also doesn't smudge which is amazing since i have oily eyelids and live in a hot humid climate (Hawaii)

I need to play with this product more as I'm only starting to get into cake eyeliners. I don't like the brown color at all. I think it's way too light and doesn't compliment my medium brown eyes. The black is only, also on the lighter side. I would have preferred a darker black but maybe I need to apply more product. I also found I really had to wet my brush to get any color onto it.

I did find I could use the brown for filling in my brows though (use very sparingly!) so there is that.

I have had this for months, and although I don't wear eyeliner day to day, it's good for when i feel like it. I don't know who told people to wet the cake, but when the product was demonstrated to me by the SA, she wet her brush, and dipped it into the sample that way. I can't imagine what would happen if you tried to add water to the compact and mixed or something. It also use this dry too, you don't have to use it wet. I use this with an angle brush, which is convenient enough for me. It doesn't disappear on my oily eyelids, and lasts all night. the compact is cute too. And you get two colors.

For the price you pay, this is a pretty good deal. It takes some getting used to, and it used to smudge a LOT for me, until I wore it with Lumene eye makeup base. Now it stays put all day. It's a good buy for those who use liquid every day like me because it pays for itself over time and lasts FOREVER. You just need to get used to mixing and such. I suggest wetting the brush instead of the cake itself. I made that mistake, and now there are watermarks :( You get more control with the brush you use too.

I adore this eyeliner...but I hate the fact that it gets gross from adding the tiny bit of water. Maybe I added too much or did something wrong - but to be fair it didn't get soupy and mushy until I had ALOT of use out of it. Long wearing and pretty much smudge-proof. It goes on quick, smooth and easy - unlike pencil or liquid eyeliners. Gives you 100% control over the amount and the consistency - I love that! Quite pricey for eyeliner, but the jar lasts a long time.

This was my first cakeliner and will probably be my last, because it is so easy to use and I love it so much. I have never been able to draw a straight line with liquid liners, but somehow, the brush makes it so much easier! I use a MAC eyeliner brush, and I absolutely love this product.

This is by far my HG eyeliner. After having numerous eye inefctions (Thanks contacts and Lash Blast) my eye doctor recomended a cake or cream eyeliner. Supposedly they do not crumble the same way pencils or liquid liners do but cream liners have been PITA to use for me, especially fluidlines.

Anyway, this product is awesome. It comes with both brown and black and both are easy to mix. I use it with water and love how one little jar can give me all kinds of looks. More water equals a sharp, dark dramatic line and using it with ust a slightly damp brush makes the line very soft. I use it with a plain angled Essence of Beauty Brush from CVS.

This is probably the only BeneFit product I own that I actually don't hate. I bought this with the Get Bent brush and was NOT thrilled but with my thin angled e/l brushes, it's okay(i prefer gel & cream e/ls). I don't get to use the brown shade much, as the color is a bit weird on my eyes. The cool thing about this duo is that when I'm in a rush, I dip an angled brow brush into it(dry!) and I can lightly fill in my brows for a natural look.

I worked for Benefit so i end up w/ a ton of product. This one actually sat in my drawer for months, i didnt think i would like a cake eyeliner, i have 5 liquid liners already (2 Mac Liquid Lasts, 1 lancome and 2 Sephora) and i have tons of pencil liners and a couple gel/cream liners.

I used it one day after purchasing a thin liner brush, i was doing a look that required a very controlled and dramatic line and i was having trouble w/ my liquid so i decided to give it a go. I LOVE it!! Its perfect because you control the consistency of the liner, you can make it thin or thick w/ the amount of water you soak the brush with. If you use it with the right brush, you can control exactly the shape and size of your line unlike a liquid liner which comes w/ a standard applicator that you may or may not like.
    It lasts well too.

Perfect. Goes on easy and stays all day. It looks great, and works well with the Get Bent brush.
