HOLY SMOKES!

I just did this for the first time and honestly my skin has not felt this good and smooth probably since I was a teenager (I am 40 yrs).

I can't stop touching my face.

It was a tingly kinda itchy mask but I toughed it out about 25 minutes and BAM! smooth glowing skin.

I am curious to the long term improvements after doing this once a week for awhile.

I have been dealing with bad skin from the age of 13, and i'm almost 21 now. I always have small bumps on my chin and forehead, and I always seem to have at least one or two visible pimples (redness, scabs) on my face. I have tried so much products, natural or chemical, and tea tree oil seems to help a bit but doesnt solve my issue. I dont remember how, but I came on makeupalley and the aspirin mask because of the many raving reviews, so I decided to give it a shot! It costs about 3,60 euro's here for 20 aspirin tablets, at least thats the only ones I could find. I crushed 5 tablets, added some honey and mixed it together. I have just applied it to my face, and I cant wait to see what it does for my skin. I have about 4/5 spots on my face right now and my spots infect very quickly when I touch or mess with them which is another one of my skin issues unfortunatly. :( I need to leave it on for 10 more minutes, cant wait to see what it does for my skin! (PS I dont feel any pain or uncomfort, maybe it'll kick in later? Hope it doesnt haha)

-----

Ok so I just washed off the mask, my face is a little red but the spots look exactly the same. No discomfort whatsoever though, when the mask was on. Just put my nightcream on to moisture a bit, I'm curious if tomorrow morning ill see some more result. If not, Im not giving up and trying again in four days or so to give my skin some rest. Ill update if anything changes (or if it doesnt)! Fingers crossed :)

I woke up this morning and i was pleasantly suprised!! My spots arent bumps anymore but they have completely shrunk down and the redness is all gone! They have to heal a bit still but they are 80% less noticeable then yesterday. I do think its best to apply at night before you go to bed considering the overall redness on your face after you wash it off. I'm so happy, will defeniitly use this mask again and give this 'recipe' to my friends ^-^ Thanks MUA

My skin is always rather oily and has uneven tones of redness on my cheeks and chin. Prone to break outs here and there, as I'm only a hormonal teen, aha. I have slight scarring. Nothing too severe. But I found that this mask helps for the problems I do have.

Rather than a few aspirin, I only use one pill mixed with a little water & 3/4 tsp of honey to keep it gentle enough for frequent use. Doesn't dry my skin out this way, and I'm not worried about overdoing it on the aspirin. The honey is a little messy, and has a strong smell, but hey, it's honey. :)

The result is excellent. This has been fantastic at evening out my skin and just helping reduce any inflammation of zits. Keeps those stubborn painful pimples in line while they heal. Does me better than any face washes and acne cleansers as the mask lacks all the fragrance and colors and what not. And as my beekeeping family always has honey, it's a bonus that cheap, generic aspirin is all I need to ever pick up. Worth trying, for sure. continued >>

OK, if it weren't for reviews here on MUA, I NEVER would have tried this. I have been experiencing HORRIBLE hormonal acne ALL OVER my face in recent months. I went theough a course of Accutane 2 years ago (had done it 20 years ago as well). I have tried every over-the-counter, high-end, DS, mail order, ebay, etsy, organic, prescription, amazon and natural "remedy" I could find. I get full-blown pimples, have been getting blackheads (which were never a problem for me before, usually just whiteheads and cysts), and always have those tiny "bumps" that NEVER GO AWAY. Then I read about aspirin masks.
Last night I ground up some aspirin, added a little white vinegar (yes, I smelled like a freaking pickle, but I didn't have any apple cider vinegar) and some warmed up raw honey. It was messy, I'll have to work on the consistency, but I put it on my face for about 10 minutes. scrubbed and rinsed it off and went to bed.
I woke up this morning and the 4 big zits I had are dramatically reduced, and the little tiny under-the-skin bumps have DISAPPEARED!!! My skin was soft and smooth and more even. I know this was my first time doing this, so I'll update after a couple of months. As of now, I am super-thrilled with the results!!! And it is SO EFFIN CHEAP!!!!
Love this - I really hope it continues to work. Sorry so long-winded!

HG product. I always use the dispersible aspirin because you get a finer grit. Just add a few drops of water til it disolves, then add some honey. Leave on for about 30 minutes. Rinse off in a circular motion to exfoliate. Has helped my acne and scarring so much, and skin is smoother. Plus it's so cheap!

I had the absolute worst break out I have ever had. The entire left side of my face just exploded into pimples. It was so bad that there were pimples on top of pimples. Not a centimetre of smooth skin. I was desperate enough to try some Aspirin my dad keeps in the cupboard. I used liquid gel capsules rather than the traditional tablet. I popped the capsule with a pair of sharp tweezers and applied the liquid directly to my face. Left it there for 2 hours and washed it away with cold water. Almost every pimple is gone and my blackheads have vanished. I swear I am not even exaggerating. Do yourself a favour and go buy some Aspirin!

Hint:
Use the liquid gel capsules rather than the tablets. It is much faster to just poke a hole in the capsule and squeeze the liquid directly onto your face rather than crush and dissolve several tablets.

UPDATE: 19/09/12:

I can no longer use this mask in any amount or for any length of time. Skin turns bright red, cystic pimples form, it's really terrible. I last tried to use this about one month ago and my skin is STILL uneven!

I love using this mask when I'm having a breakout! It shrinks my pimples into a fraction of their original size and almost eliminates redness. Talk about cheap! Use this mask a couple times a week and some Clean & Clear (or store brand) persagel for spot treatment and you've got clear skin for next to nothing cost wise! continued >>

This mask is insanely messy, but then again, I don't use honey. I use uncoated migraine pills mixed with water and I slather it on my face like no tomorrow, as I have severe acne. It ends up crusting and falling off within an hour, so I have to be extra careful if I want it to work. It works for sure, though. Nothing clears up my nasty zits more than migraine pills. They get rid of the redness and leave my skin bright and not so inflamed. Wonderful. I'm about to go use this mask now!

I used this and it literally erased my acne. Works so fast and so well!

***WARNING: if you are allergic to chocolate, DO NOT USE THIS MASK!!! Aspirin and chocolate have similar chemical properties so you may react very badly to it!
