I have pretty oily eyelids. I brought the eyelid primer at target for $1. Went home, tried it with some eyeshadow. IT CREASED AFTER 2 HOURS. it may work it your eyelids are not thattt oily though. Definitley not for really oily lids.
I've tried several primers over the years, Urban Decay, Tarte, Nars, MAC, spending upwards of $20-$30 on them....ELF eyelid primer is the best primer I've used and at the time it only costed $1 (I believe that it's now $2). I have every oily eyelids ands with every high end primer I've tried, my eyeshadow had a huge, thick noticable crease in it by 11:30AM. With this, I just apply a thin layer, dust a bit of tranlucent powder over it and my eyeshadow has stayed as long as 10 hours with no creasing at all. I feel no need to try any other primers because I've found my HG. I have at least 3 of these in my stock at all time and will continue to use it until they stop making it...and before they stop making it, I will buy a few lol. Love this primer. This is my first ever eyelid primer, and I have to say it's been a positive experience. Pros: Cheap compared to other eyelid primers (nz$4.99), stops creasing, eye shadow last all day, user friendly. Cons: doe foot applicator, relatively hard to find in NZ, more than double the U.S price (in nz & aus). I would definitely buy again. continued >>
I was skeptical at the beginning since the price was so low, but once i started to use it i was totally blown away!! Its an amazing primer... works perfectly on a daily basis, and it doesnt crease. I love the color and it doesnt mess up with my shadows.... I used in the past Urban Decay but now i will buy this product over and over again.
This stuff seems to be UDPP in a cheap little tube!!! It's great! I paid a dollar and for a dollar I was blown away. Anyone can wear it and its works alllll day for no creasing!
I've purchased this three times. I need to purchase it again today. I use it every single day.
I can't compare it to UDPP because I've never used that, but I can say that this miracle stuff works wonders on my extremely oily lids. I use it under everything, including cream shadows (even MAC Paint Pots) and it helps my eye makeup stay put for hours and hours. After a 16-hour day, I start to see a teeny bit of creasing, but it's nothing I can't even out with my pinky, and my liner stays perfect (as opposed to smudging and smearing onto my crease).
And it's $1! ONE DOLLAR. Seriously, how can you go wrong? I've used other primers that didn't hold a candle to this and cost literally ten times as much.
I've also used the $3 mineral primer from ELF and while I do like how it performs, I don't feel it's quite as much of a winner as the plain ol' $1 version. This stuff just cannot be beat. I will use this as long as they supply it.
I used to use urban decays eye primer, until I got smart and started using this. On a whim I bought this (its only $1, why not?) at target, and I'm soooo glad I did. This makes my shadows last all day or night, whichever I'm going for, which is unusual for my oily skin. The only problem is that the lid to the container always breaks, but is still usable. I can't complain though, the product alone is well worth more than $1.

I love love love this product! I compare this to UDPP, and this totally tops it! I consider it the same product as UDPP but in different packaging and a price that won't leave your pocket empty. Don't bother with UDPP, and get this! Prevents my eye shadow from creasing or wearing off, and makes it last all day long without looking oily. It's a wonderful dupe and I will never repurchase UDPP again. It's worth the try for only a couple dollars.
EDIT: I tested this out one day and applied it to only one eye, while I used my HG primer (All Natural Face Vegan E/S Primer) on the other. The eye with this primer definitely had faded and creasy eyeshadow. This just doesn't work for me, knocking it down to a 1.
ORIGINAL: I prefer the mineral primer over this one, but it's not bad by any means.
Pros: keeps shadows from creasing for about 7 hours
keeps shadows pigmented for about 5 hours
Cheap!
Cons: very orange? Not sure if it's just me, but this is not a neutralizing color on my lids.
Formulation is very wet.
Takes a while to blend in.
I've used UDPP for years, but I bought this on a whim after liking some other e.l.f. products.
It's really worth buying since it's only a buck. I've been using this for normal days, and I only bring out the UDPP for special events and whatnot. I'm a grad student so it seems ridiculous to spend all the money on UDPP just for my makeup to go to class. e.l.f. primer is nearly as good!
