I really like this! Much creamier than any of the other Chapstick formulations. I checked the ingredients list and did some research and I think pretty much everything in it is harmless. Also I think tocopheryl acetate works as a kind of sunblock? Anyway, a very buttery, creamy consistency, no taste, a very subtle warm oatmealy scent that I don't notice after the first couple of seconds. Warms up on the lips, lasts a decent amount of time. I feel that it really sinks in and even after it is gone my lips still feel soft. Mine were terrible when I first tried it and within the hour they were back to normal - and I don't usually get dry lips. And dirt cheap! I love strawberry chapstick but I think soon this may replace it...
This is my current favorite lip balm. It's slightly waxy, which I like because I feel that it improves staying power - unlike a lot of slicker, oilier balms I don't feel the need to reapply every 10 minutes. The scent is a very mild honey-vanilla to me, and it seems to disappear after a few minutes. It is very smooth and creamy feeling when applied. There is no tint or shimmer. And thankfully, no annoying chemical flavor.
Not really impressed with this. It's less waxy than regular Chapstick, but other than that, there isn't really much difference. Didn't last very long, either. But heck, it was only 25 cents so no big whoop.

i am so addicted to this that if i leave it at home or something, i get very annoyed. you might say, whaaaat, this girl must have some minor issues. no. everyone knows how annoying it is to have dry lips.....dry lips just cos they're dry, dry after eating, dry from lipstick....whatever the reason most of us NEED some kind of lipbalm product. my lips are of the dry cos they are 'always dry' category. i had used burts bees, some stuff in a pot from the body shop, that soft lips stuff and many others, without being thrilled. the last lipbalm that rocked my world was in the mid 90's (long time huh) and that was the honey stick from the body shop. they dumped that product long ago and pretty much i've been searching ever since. here it is! not waxy, not smelly, good lasting power AND good ingredients....i think it has five different butters in it. leaves your lips moisterized and a bit shiny. i really need to get a second tube so i can have one at home and one in my bag. if i don't see that little purple/lavender tube in my bag i get in a bad mood cos i know i won't be satisfied til i can get some on my lips.

Nice and creamy and very moisturizing. Definitely an improvement over Burt's Bees pomegranate lip balm. I don't have to be obsessive about reapplying this throughout the day b/c it really lasts. However, it tastes and smells like cardboard - not very strong but it's still slightly annoying.
EDIT 10/22/09: I have to add another lippie to my review b/c I ran out of this the other day and couldn't find it in any drugstore; I figured, what the heck I'll just use something else. Well I tried a few other lip balms - some old, some new and got so desperate for this again I scoured every place I could think of. When I finally found a store that carried it I bought the last three they had left! I can't believe how well this heals chapped lips, and it's all natural. What am I ever going to do if Chapstick discontinues this?!?

I bought Chapstick 100% Natural Lip Butter because of the great reviews on MUA. This is now my favorite lip balm. It keeps my lips from flaking and I seldom need to reapply. It glides on light and smooth without the thick waxy feeling. It has a subtle scent which smells like either oatmeal or honey to me. The scent disappears once its applied to lips. It does not have SPF, so I tend to use it in the evenings. There's no tint and it doesn't really leave my lips shiny, but it does exactly what I want it to do - moisturize my lips.

this is the best lipbalm I have ever used and I will never use another. Doesn't have a scent. Leaves your lips very hydrated and makes your lips a little shiny. Also makes it easy to apply lipstick or gloss without it getting all gross looking if your lips are dry.
My HG lip balm. I love this stuff, it's very moisturizing and not at all waxy like regular chapstick. I like Burt's Bees but don't always want minty lips (their honey balm turned grainy in the tube). I love that it has no flavor and (to me) no discernible scent. It's readily available at the stores I shop at the most. I keep one in my purse and one in my bedside table. I actually mixed a partly used tube with a bit of lipstick to make a great tinted balm. (3 yr old got hold of one of my MAC lippies, wah!)
I bought this because of reviews here, and also I loved the lavender tube :) Unfortunately, this is an average lip balm at best imo. It smells like butter cookies (like Pepperidge Farm's "chessmen" cookies) and it's a thin, slightly oily balm that just sits on top of my lips. If I apply a few coats my lips feel moisturized, but only while it's on. After it wears off, my lips feel drier than before. I prefer thicker lip balms, and also ones with SPF 15. So sad that my HG Prada lip balm is discontinued! I will continue to buy up what's left of my beloved HG until I can find a replacement.
