I've been using this product for a little more than one year. I kinda stick to it not because it works, but simply to finish it.
It's too expensive considering that it does nothing to improve my acne scars - old or new. If used too much, the lotion will sting, like there's a burning sensation on my face (maybe that's due to the presence of tea tree oil). It's an okay product if used as acne treatment, but I've tried other blemish cream that shows better and faster results - and at lower price, too. Definitely will not repurchase.
I have combination skin, I don't break out a lot but I do here and there. I was using the Seaweed Clarifying Night Treatment, but found it wasn't doing much for my skin and I'd normally like something more out of my night treatment. I talked to one of the staff members at The Body Shop and they recommended I use the Tea Tree Blemish fade Night Lotion instead. I actually really like this product! The Tea Tree line doesn't seem to smell the greatest at first, but this stuff works! Even the first night of applying it, I woke up the next morning and my face looked clearer than normal. It also made my existing white heads easier to get rid of. In my mind, that's a winner because we all want beautiful clear skin. The only thing I don't like is the container. I like that it has a pump and the size is fine, but I don't like how you can't see how much product is left inside. With the other night treatments, the bottle is clear so you can see how much you have left, but this one is solid green which kind of sucks. Also, the price could be a bit much for some people. This product is $18 plus tax in Canada. It might last a couple of months so it could be worth it. I guess I am just a bit cheap but this stuff works so I will continue using and buying.
utter rubbish. broke me out terribly..i have combination skin and is prone to acne,i used this to fade some scars on my cheeks but it ruined my face. i will never buy this again.i gave 2 lippies for packaging and yet does work for some people.. i am still a huge fan of there body butters..
This WORKED! I had a cluster of blemishes on my cheek next to my nose where my pores were very clogged and spotty. And i made the huge mistake of popping one of them and i was left with a scar there and the spots in that area just got worse. But i got the whole set of t.b.s tea tree products (facial wash, toner, skin clearing lotion.) and now my skin looks great. Not to mention the blemishes have REALLY FADED! I was shocked myself because i'm the biggest skeptic when it comes to beauty products. Do give this a try if you have similar skin problems.

It was too expensive for me because it wasn't on sale when i bought it. This product didn't seem to fade my blemishes or prevent acne from forming but it didn't cause any break outs either. When i put it on, i notice it makes my blemishes more irritated. But it does a great job of sinking into the skin.
Bought this product a few times.
Pros: It's easy to apply and doesn't burn the skin. Keeps breakouts under control and pimples heal faster if you don't pick at them.
Cons: Does not help with reducing existing blemishes at all and does dry the skin with constant use so use lots of moisturiser.
well , i got this for DIRT cheap, therefore i gave it one star, because you know how? It was like a promotion and i found it on the shelf for $5, WOW, so i bought two bottles!!
I cant really say much, because i haven't been using it RELIGIOUSLY everyday, but I can say it hasn't broken me out or given me a rash-- im pretty sure to see improvement, you have to finish one bottle, and im not close-- so for now, just remember it works if you have used the tea tree line, it wont break you out-- if you started with neutrogena or clean and clear and use this product, i beware!! Ive stuck with tea tree oil for a year and now my skin is used to it, therefore when i used this lotion, i didnt get any reactions!
****STAY TUNED, i'll do a review then I RELIGIOUSLY follow this at night
~~ THANKS ~~
What it Claims:
"Best if you want to: Improve the appearance of blemish-damaged skin, control oiliness and moisturize while you sleep with a light, moisturizing, non-oily lotion that sinks into the skin.
* Lemon tea tree and Community Trade tea tree oil from Kenya contain anti-bacterial properties that help fight blemishes and prevent new ones from forming.
* Tamanu oil from Madagascar has a soothing effect and helps to calm irritation and redness."
Claims - True or False?
1) Improve the look of skin: True.
2) Control oil: True.
3) Sinks into the skin: True.
4) Fights acne: False.
5) Calm irritation and redness: False.
Packaging:
Hygienic, simple and pretty, gives you all the information that you need and works well. Comes in a pump dispenser, but I am unsure as to whether or not it allows you to use up all of the product. Because the plastic is not clear, you cannot see how much is used or how much is left, and you also cannot tell how much remains by its weight. The pump doesn't stick and allows for just enough product to be dispensed without worrying about too much being dispensed.
Consistency and Scent:
A somewhat thick, gel-like lotion. Very lightweight, not at all greasy and gives an almost powdery finish to the skin. Feels comfortable on the skin. Goes on very smoothly and blends nicely without soaking in too quickly. However, it would ball up when too much was used or if I didn't blend it in quickly enough. Will likely not be hydrating enough for dehydrated or combo to dry skin. The scent, while being part of the tea tree line, smells identical to celery. It's a light fragrance, which does, however, linger on the skin for a short period of time. My only complaint about the fragrance was that it would cause my nose to tickle for a bit.
Bang for your Buck:
Average price of $20.00CAD for a 1oz bottle. The contents of this lotion would be used within two months with daily use. If used daily for a year, the approximate cost would be about $10.00/month, or $120.00/year; if you can somehow manage to stretch its use to 3 months, then it would be just under $7.00/month or about $80.00/year.
Final Consensus:
A lightweight lotion better suited towards oily skin, this is a good choice for those who only need a light moisturizer. Did not worsen my skin, but it also did not boast any true benefits; any potential benefits were only seen after application and did not cause gradual and lasting changes in the skin. Because it's quite pricey and doesn't moisturize very much, I'd say that this could also potentially be used as a primer before makeup, thus potentially making it last longer.
- pros: lightweight, interesting scent, pretty packaging that is easy to use, easy to find, absorbs relatively well, doesn't worsen my skin, doesn't leave my skin significantly oilier
- cons: expensive for the amount, doesn't hydrate efficiently, doesn't last very long, didn't live up to many of its claims, can ball up is too much is used

I'm currently on my fourth bottle of this! I use it as both a night lotion and a spot treatment, as I find the tea tree oil spot treatment to be way too irritating for my skin. I don't find it's the best moisturizer, and my skin is slightly oily, so I wouldn't want to use this if I had really dry skin. You also don't get much product for the price, so I always wait until one of their sales to buy this. I would say its a staple in my everyday routine- it doesn't cause breakouts and doesn't leave my face an oily mess within 20 minutes of application. (I also use the mask once a week, love it too!) The smell might be a little strong for some, and could possibly be an irritant to sensitive skin, but I find that all TBS products have a fair amount of scent. All in all, I really do like the product, and will continue to purchase it as long as it's being sold!
before using this product: when i would wake up in the morning, no matter what i used, my t zone would be extrememly oily!!!
review: ive been using this for about a week. i havent really noticed any fading or evening out of my skin tone. but why i keep using this product is because it totoally eliminates oil on my face! when i wake up, i no longer need to wash my face! (although i always do anyways)
i highly reccomend this for people with oily skin! it deffinately helps!
the smell is quite strong though, smells like tea tree. i enjoy it, but some people may not.
