I have been using lip scuff for years. I live in Ohio so the winters are very harsh here. Chapped lips were a problem before I found the product. The mixture can be harsh and irritating when first used. It is one of those products that you build up a tolerance for. I recommend using a light hand when using the product in the beginning. The exfoliating granules are large and very rough. The mixture is thick(almost waxy) and has a minty scent. Overall it is a good product and really helps improves winter damaged lips.

Definitely a keeper !!! My lips too dry, too sensitive and always in ugly chapped condition I never could wear lipstick :( This helps me to exfoliate and get rid off my lips dead skin regularly, to give me at least 1-2 days decent looking lips before they begin to crack again ... I've been using this for the last 4-5 years and I keep coming back to TBS for this one ... The packaging is comfortable enough ..

A nice idea - a lip exfoliator in the shape and packaging of a lipstick.

The execution of that idea is poor.

Even if it exfoliates (which it doesn't do very well), the granules are too harsh, any flakes of skin which are removed adhere to the surface of the lipscuff or your face, the mint/menthol is potentially irritating and it leaves a waxy residue on your skin!

The colour (pastel green) doesn't bother me because it's only meant to be on your lips for a minute or two.

I would not buy this again, even if it was dirt cheap. Give this a miss if you want value for money. continued >>

This stuff is great. I use it to exfoliate my lips regularly. Leaves my lips soft and smooth. It has a minty smell. Not too bad considering the price.

Although this lip scruff does its job, I think a toothbrush is just as effective in exfoliating any dead skin off the lips, so I'm not too impressed.

This product I have used and made all of my friends buy for years!! This product is to exfoliate your lips. You do not leave it on, you apply it in a circular motion then rub off with a tissue, and ta da soft, great lips. You obviously cannot use it is your lips are dry and cracking, you need some type of topical medication for that to heal. This product is best used if your lips are already in pretty good condition but need to be a exfoliated. Kind of like your face, you wouldn't exfoliate your face if you have dry open cracks on it. This product is great, just use some common sense before using :)

here's the deal: i really liked this product. it felt like their lip conditioner with exfoliating pieces put into it....it worked well and left my lips soft. however, i lost it and just found it yesterday to find it with mold and gross stuff all over the top of it! now i've only had it for a few weeks. i really don't think mold should grow on it after that period of time. that's why i'm giving it 2 lippies....

I like this, but I wonder if I am alone in my insanity of missing the older formulation. Yes, it was evil and I might as well just have used a belt sander, but its fall in Wisconsin and I hate dry flaky lips! The new formulation works pretty good, though I like the Mary Kay product better.

I think people are a little confused....this was not meant to be worn. You put it on your lips,
let it soak in and wipe off with a wash cloth. Your lips will fee silky and smooth, I personally love this stiff and I prefer it to my Mary Kay Lip mask.
