on week 3 of using this and have noticed an improvement on the strength of my nails. peeling has lessened and the elusive index finger nail has started to grow! haha
would recommend but patience is needed for actual results.

I had weak, peeling nails and used this product for years. While at first it did exactly what it advertised and I could not live without it, over years of use it actually made my nails brittle because of the formeldahyde in it.
So while I think this works fantastic initially it is not for the long haul.
I've been using Nailtek II after reading about it here, and it has made the most amazing difference in my nails. I have always had nails that are fragile and peel, and though I sometimes find products that work for a while, eventually when my nails grow out, they then get tiny breaks along the sides. So far, that has not happened with this product. My nails are strong and hard, and they began growing out almost instantly after I started using this. I only use it a few times a week. I did have problems with my polish peeling off, but the last few weeks I've been using OPI Drip Dry over my polish, and that seems to have stopped the peeling for some reason. This is truly and amazing product.....I am so excited to finally have nails that are all one length, strong, and beautiful! Love this!

This does not do what it claims - I followed the directions to a T and it, along with my nailpolish (Orly), just peels right off or chips even though the most intense thing I have done with my hands in the past 2 days was write or type. I can't believe they charge $10 for this - $3 Sally Hansen "Get Strong" works 100x better. It's a rip off.
I cannot fathom how this could possibly get a bad review. My natural nails are fairly thick, grow quickly and do not peel, but they chip and split easily. I had acrylic nails for about a year and had them removed about three months ago. My nails were trashed. Paper thin and peeling like crazy. The bottle says to use apply this daily for maximum results, but I did it once or twice a week at best. I also used this in conjunction with the Nail Tek Foundation II Ridge Filler. So, in three months and with occasional use, my nails are now stronger than they were before the acrylic nails. I can only imagine the shape they would be in if I had been more diligent with the application. I did not experience any staining, but I did wear it only over the Foundation II.
Wow, this really works. I used to have weak peeling nails and now that I've used this twice a week for 6 months they are so strong I have to cut them back before they break on me. Will purchase again and again.

Ive always had weak brittle nails and have accepted the fact that they would chip once the length grew past my fingertips. Right before I used Nailtek, my nails were in its worst shape ever. Despite having really short nails, the chips were originating in my nailbed, which was extremely painful. The nail board recommended this but I didn't think it would work because the bottle said it would help with soft peeling nails not chips, but I was desperate and bought it anyway. According to the instructions, youre supposed to use Nailtek daily and remove it with polish remover once a week. Even though I dont always remember to use Nailtek daily, Ive noticed a dramatic improvement after 8 weeks of use. My nails have not chipped once, which is practically a record for me. My only complaint is after 3 plus applications, the polish peels. As a base and top coat, this does not extend the life of my manicures (they last 2-3 days because of the peeling). Otherwise, this is a fantastic product. The polish thickens a bit when the bottle is almost empty. To thin it, I roughly add an equal amount of polish from a new bottle of Nailtek and shake gently. Retails for ~$10 at drugstores.

I was so disappointed in this product. I have really weak, splitting nails and after reading all the reviews I thought I had found something to make them stronger. This didn't do a thing for my nails though, just as weak and splitting as ever :( Its terrible as a base coat or a top coat, usually without a base or top coat my polish lasts for 4 days but with Nailtek it only lasts for 1-2 days.

Great product. Iīve tried revlon and the other stuff you get in regular drugstores in Germany and they all didnīt work. I started getting my nails done with tips and gel three years ago and once I started I didnīt quit because I couldnīt stand my nails short again. If I didnīt have them done they split and broke immediatelly, wearing long nails was impossible and colored nailpolish would peel of at the tips after two days.
Some day I decided that it was ridiculous to spend so much money on nails and so much time having them done. I was upset about my short and weak nails, took vitamines, strengtheners, etc. but at least one nail always was broken of so I had to shorten all of them.
one day I saw nailtek II at a pharmacy and decided to try it. The stuff burned terribly on my nails (and not on the skin or cuticles) the first couple of times of application, then it stopped. after four weeks all my nails were grown out and I could let them grow as long as I felt like. Unbelievable!
the downside is that it is quite expensive in germany (20 eur)-and you use it up in a short time if you use it once or even twice a day, that it smells terrible (my boyfriend doesnīt come near me for the next two hours of application because he claims it gives him a headache), I figure that it canīt be healthy to get this stuff into your lungs. besides that it looks like good clear nailpolish and it absolutelly hardens your nails. for me it doesnīt work as a one-time treatment, though, as the company claims. I stopped for a while after my second bottle and soon enough one of nails broke of again. I just started using nailtek again and I guess I will keep on doing so as when using it they look just as good as if they were done professionelly. my best friend even asked me if I started going to the manicurist again.
Next time I will try the product which is ment for nails already healthy.
NaiTek II is FAB! This strengthener really does work, and it doesn't make your nails so brittle, that they later begin to chip (lots of strengtheners will do that). It's amazing stuff, and very inexpensive -- at only about $5! Someone here said this was "too expensive". ??? This product can be used as a basecoat, and topcoat, or used alone as a clear nail polish. I was unable to grow my nails out for the past few years, due to the amount of time my hands spent in water, doing housework, grooming my dog, etc etc (wear rubber gloves, ladies! this tip from the nail board has worked miracles for my nails, too!). After just one application of NailTek II, I saw and felt an instant difference. My nails were so hard, and very protected when I couldn't wear rubber gloves. It's been just 4 short weeks, and my nails are now longer/stronger than they've ever been, even when I used to have "long nails" many years ago. My nails used to constantly split/tear on the sides, I think from the water issue. NT II has stopped the tearing completely (and of course, the glove wearing also helps immensely). Huge RAVE for NT II!
