This product is misleading a lot of people.
First, Estee Lauder claim it could minimizing skin-pores. Well, it doesn't shrink your pores, its more like a pore filler, you wear it during the day time under your moisturizer or foundation! It will make sense if they promote this product as a makeup "Primer" instead of "Serum or Skin Refinisher", Your pores will NOT reduce after you wash your face at night time. If you have large skin pores, the real solution is to do clinical treatments. Department store cosmetics won't noticeably help out much. *I guess I was hoping for a cheap miracle!*
If you have dry skin, I'd suggest you to totally stay away from this product, the ingredient aren't good for drier skin. If you want to use it as make-up primer, this will make your foundation look very dry. When I first use this product, it was spring-summer time, but I already noticed the drying effect and eventually broke out my skin.
For people who expect a "Permanent" Pore Reducing result you would be disappoint it. Don't waste money on it unless you have combination/oily skin and want to use it as a make-up primer! EL make wonderful Advance Night Repair serum, and I'm always recommend it to my friends and sibling. But for this Idealist serum, sadly, I will not recommend or repurchase!
It did make my skin matte and soft but I definitely wouldn't buy this again. I have found better, cheaper products which can do the same thing. It smells sooo nice!
Absolutely 0 result. AND So expensive!!! Will not buy again for sure!
Bought this around a year ago....kept using it for 6 months and nothing really changed. I have oily skin with some minor acne so I was counting on the gentle exfoliation claim but honestly my regular exfoliator works just fine on its own. Also didn't notice any difference in my pore size although my pores and not huge in the first place but not tiny either.
I applied it first, then used moisturiser for combination skin and then my foundation (YSL foundation long lasting matte).I always made sure the products have time to sink in before applying the next one. Here comes the worst part- it actually made my foundation flake off my face unless applied very very painstainkingly and carefully.
Half of it is staying on my sink probably never to be used again. Waste if money.
Love this stuff. Makes my skin look younger, feel smoother. Fewer breakouts, better oil balance. Look healthier. Makes makeup go on much more smoothly & stay on better.
This product is simply GREAT! People complaining about it are just not using it the right way.... This should be applied BEFORE mosturizer, it evens the skin, reduces pores and i feel it helps a little with the makeup application. This is one of my essentials for my everyday routine. Yes it is pricey but it is worth every penny, I usually wait for specials on the estee lauder site.
I LOVE this product!!! I love how silky it feels and how well it absorbs into my skin. I think after reading a lot of other reviews, most people are simply using the product incorrectly. This is in no way a 'primer' for makeup. It's a skincare treatment that you apply under your moisturizer. It doesn't hydrate your skin either, that's what a moisturizer is for. I have been using it every morning for 3 months with the day wear plus moisturizer and have found that my skin tone is more even and my skin is much softer. I like that it encourages the skin's natural exfoliation process rather then using abrasive scrubs. My skins texture is much smoother. I had red bumpy patches on the bottom half of my cheek and they're much less noticeable. I love this product and think more people would benefit by using it for what it's intended for.
I love this product and find it is very effective at smoothing and soothing my skin. I put on a little bit after moisturizer.
It is scented and I like the scent but if you prefer unscented products, you may not like it.
It is expensive but I use it sparingly.
I really like this product i put it on before i go to bed in the morning i have smooth very soft skin, but its really PRICEY i think i will try to find an alternative
