Vaseline is the ultimate beauty/skincare product!!!
It's so cheap and has dozens of uses! I personally like to apply a coat to my lashes after I remove mascara so that my lashes don't dry out and become brittle. I think it works quite well. :) I also apply a thick coat to my lips before bed so they don't dry out at night. Works great!
Everybody needs at least one jar of vaseline!
you cannot go wrong with this stuff ! i had flakey dry patches of skin do to a horrable treatment product so i put on facial moisterizers but nothing i put sunscrean an still nothing i tried this an my skin looked better an by the next morning it felt so smooth like baby skin!!
I agree with other reviews that rate this product high. I personally think that Petroleum Jelly is great and I use it frequently under my eyes at night. I tried Aquaphor, which mostly is petroleum jelly, mineral oil and glycerin, but found it a little drying over time (I think it was due to glycerin). The best my skin looked after using petroleum jelly was when I applied it a lot and mixed with water and then spent 45 minutes in a very humid place and after that I wiped it off (not too much leaving a very thin film on). That was when my skin looked the best. Also, I see that some of the reviewers are giving only one lippie for Vaseline and recommend Un-Petroleum Jelly from Alba to use instead. However, be careful with all that natural stuff, I used Un-Petroleum Jelly from Alba and it dried my under eye area so much that from having no fine lines I sudden developed so many dry fine lines and had use Vaseline to fix that. Castro oil can be very drying and Vitamin E can be irritating, puffing the eye area and making it look smoother and line less but it's only temporary fix. Besides, the peer reviewed articles scientifically explain how petroleum jelly works and how beneficial is for skin if properly used, and they also mention how some oils are irritating to the skin. Anyway, I do not use Vaseline everyday, I let my skin do its own work. And don't listen to people who'll tell you that your skin can't breathe if you put this on. You skin doesn't breathe, it takes the oxygen from the blood not outside, that is why you can dive in water without having oxygen tanks (only your lungs breathe and need oxygen to be underwater not your skin).

Everyone needs to own a jar of this stuff. It's cheap, protects and moisturizes the lips, and heals the chapped elbows and other dry places on the skin. It's just a necessity (especially if you live up in New England like me!). The only problem is that it's very easy for bacteria to cultivate in that big jar. I would much prefer some Vaseline with the same consistency in a tube. It's still a wonderful product and I use it every night on my lips before bed.
I use Vaseline on my eyelashes every night. I was told that would thicken them. I believe I am seeing results after two months of use. I want to try this as an under eye moisturizer at night, but I am afraid that the oil it contains might cause mila or milia (however those little white bumps are spelled). I have read that it works great for under eye circles and fine lines.- not as a moisturizer though.

I'm so mad at myself for spending so much money on expensive make up products when I had vaseline all along! This stuff is absolutely fantastic. I have really fussy skin and pretty much all foundations I've tried (from Dior to L'Oreal) end up looking caky. After my moisturizer I prime the driest ares of my face (underneath my eyes) with a TINY bit of vaseline and then I can go on to apply the thickest, most opaque concealers/foundations without looking thick and caky. And I can finally set my make up with a powder to make it last longer, which I was never able to do before because my skin is on the dry side. I also use it on my cheek bones when I want a dewy finish, and around my nails when I paint them (it prevents nail polish from sticking to skin). And for anyone grossed out by putting vaseline on your face, this stuff is non-comedogenic. I've read that the particles are too large to absorb into skin and actually sit on top (not sure about that, but it's definitely non-comedogenic, and it has never broken me out). I think this is one of the most underrated beauty products out there, especially if you have dry skin.

I LOVE this stuff. I bought it so I could moisturise my eyelashes in an attempt to make them thicker/longer. Works so well! I used it sparingly until the past week or so where I used it every night. My eyelashes are definitely longer now :)
I also put this on my cuticles, lips and dry areas on my nose and it does a great job.
So cheap, the only thing that annoys me is the packaging. I end up with a heap of product underneath my nails, haha. But honestly is not a big deal.
It also makes your skin shiny but if you put it on at night you can't go wrong.

Every household has this and it's used for everything from moisturising lips to smoothing over scrapes and burns. I would use it for the latter not the former. This is really not the best thing to use cosmetically because it is literally made of mineral oil, but its so cost-effective and so multi-usable, you really can't go wrong with getting a jar. I lived in a family of six and we had a jar last about 15 years!
