Out of all the conditioners I've tried this one takes the cake hands down. It leaves my hair perfectly soft and not like cotton like other products I have used in the past. Not too crazy about the smell but it does the job great and I have been using it for like 3 years now do not plan on stopping.
So, I went to get a trim and my hair dresser said my hair was dry and in need of a deep conditioning treatment. (I never deep treat my hair!)
He recommended the biolage conditioning balm and I went out and got it that same day! I have virgin curly hair and I really want to grow it out. So I've been using this product everyday in the shower, and letting it soak into my hair.
The first day, I already saw a difference in my hair. Softer, curls were a lot more deinfed.
Now I am at day 4 and OMG, my hair is soooo silky soft. My curls look amazing and my hair is so shiny!
It smells divine, and it's so creamy going on. The only thing I don't like is the fact that it's in a tub. I have to scoop it out all the time.
Also! Be careful because the tub gets super slippery. I put an old t-shirt on the bottom to prevent from slipping.
Highly recommend!
I used this on & off for years. Kind of surprised I hadn't already reviewed it.
This stuff is wonderful. Adds moisture without adding weight. Using this along with Biolage Color Care shampoo has given me beautiful hair. I am very happy continued >>

Love this stuff!
My hair is medium-fine not thick, curly, or coarse but I would use it on just the ends of my hair (not the roots to avoid them getting oily) and it would make my hair super soft and detangle my hair as well!
At the time of use I had over processed/bleached hair so it definitely worked like a deep conditioner and prevented my hair from feeling hay-like.
This is the only conditioner for my thick, coarse, frizzy, half-straight and half-curly, long hair!
If you have thick hair, you know that conditioner is soo important.
I have tried a lot of good, expensive conditioners and this is still at the very top of the list!
I heard they quit making the big tub and I'm so sad!
The tube only lasts me like a week.
They need to make that big tub again!
EDIT: I deleted my old review and wrote a new one, as I realized there's no need to write that much about a product I dislike. On to the review: Worst deep conditioner *ever*. I couldn't really believe that, though, as there were so many people raving about it. Anyway... The first time I used it, it looked *great*, in a whoaaa kind of way. It didn't last long, though - the next day my hair felt dry and waxy. Believing that it could not be this product that left my hair looking like a mess, I continued using it. Now, I didn't have to wait until the next day. Immediately when it started to dry my hair felt like *straw* that were covered in *wax*, and it had a *matte* look. Yuck. Had to wash my hair like 4 times in order to get it back to 'normal'.
Every few years I try a Matrix product and none of them work for me. I received a sample of this from online and I really liked it. It was a few months ago so don't remember everything I did to my hair that day, but I do remember it turned out really nice with this conditioner. Hair was soft, looked healthy, not weighed down (I have long, fine highlighted natural blonde hair that is usually on the dry side and easily frizzes). I haven't bought many hair products lately as I quit working and am on a budget (per my husband) but I am thinking of running to the salon or Ulta today and getting a tub.
This was a 4 summers ago...my review is late. My gay cousin(we are both the only child so we are like brother and sister) was going to hair school at the time kept raving about this product. One day he came over my house and pulled a big tub out of his white baby phat embellished purse that he called his accessory bag lol He said I needed it and insisted upon it. He thinks he's a black girl in his mind and he said you have to try it ,it's bomb!!! I'm like ok. I have no idea what he paid for it maybe 20 dollars or so. This conditioner was lovely. It deeply hydrated my hair and it felt so healthy and quenched.
Most other deep conditioners ive used that nourish like this are too rich in oils, so they weigh the hair down and make it feel greasy and limp. Conditioning balm managanged to deeply moisturize , yet didn't feel heavy at all. My hair still had bounce to it after styled. I have never had this with a deep conditioner before - they always feel like they've left some reside on my hair. With Biolage Conditioning Balm my hair feels clean, light and silky, and still retains some bounce, like when i use a lighter conditioner, yet much healthier & more hydrated. So I recommend it and I didn't mind the tub sometimes products in a tub are more heavy duty, in my opinion. If you don't want to shell out 20 bucks to try it get a generic at sallys they have 2 for 10 sells often. At the time I had so many bleach blonde highlights and my hair was in bad shape thsi helped me out tremendously continued >>
