I don't understand the poor rating for this product, for me it's just amazing. It gives me that beachy wavy look if I just mess it through my hair, or if I style with a brush it makes my hair super manageable and soft but HOLD a shape. It's never stiff and it just does that balancing act perfectly of having your hair between soft and touchable but also maintaining whatever style you want it to. I have not found any other single product that can do that.

Nothing special. There are much, much better products out there for cheaper. Rather overpriced like all Kiehls products for what they really are. Tends to weigh down my curly hair and makes it look slightly oily. I also noticed it gives me dandruff.

Great product! I've been using it for many years now and it still makes my hair shiny and smooth like silk. And the bottle literally lasts forever, since you only need a tiny little dab. I'll definitely recommend it, especially to people with dry and damaged hair.

I've really given this product a try. I'm currently on my third bottle and when I finish it I don't think I'll purchase it anymore. Not because it's awful but because I would love to try other high end grooming aids. I've been using the creme for awhile and it does last a long time. ** JUST A FRIENDLY FYI *** It's very easy to over apply this product so watch out! I had very long, wavy and frizzy hair. I found that a pea sized amount, mixed with a pump of the serum ( which is fantastic!!) pretty much kept my hair looking sheen. It never really made my hair softer, actually it felt a bit ruff. Not sure why because I don't color or apply heat to my hair. While using the product I have been told numerous times that my hair looks very healthy. It is an unscented product but the unscented chemical or what ever it is smells like rubber. Not very nice but then again kiehls is known for being mostly scent free and actually once it's in your hair I've noticed it takes on the smell of your shampoo or conditioner so the overall smell is not really a huge issue for me. Definitely try it but be cautious about the amount your putting on your hair. A little goes a long way.

I bought the bottle that cost around $37.00 and it lasts me a year! The scent doesn't bother me, I really don't think it has a smell. Silk Groom is great for my thick, wavy hair. If I have to go somewhere and my hair is wet, I use quite a bit and pull it into a ponytail. Other than that I just use a little bit before blowdry. Too much will make your hair very heavy.

This gives my fine hair a nice coating to prevent frizziness and flyaways. No heavy perfumes and simple creme that gives a bit of shine. It's not heavy and does not weigh hair down. I love this but the price is a bit high. This is a very good buy so I now understand why it's so famous. When you put it on your hair, it feels clean.

I wanted to love this after reading all the reviews, but I guess it is just too heavy for my fine, wave, sometimes prone-to-dryness-and frizz hair :(


I ended up giving mine away. I didn't care much for the smell either.

I got this based on MUA'er's recs. Last summe my hair was like straw with the humidity and this really helped tame it. I have since gotten my hair chemically straightened but still love this to protect against heat styling. Good stuff!

the sales person sold this to me when i said i wanted a conditioner for my dry ends. this turns out to be a styling aid which has no effect whatsoever on my dry ends.my ends are still dry as hay and coarse after using it for sometime. and the smell is weird - can't quite put my finger to it...

Overall, I'll have to rate this as an average product for a leave in conditioner. I do not see any improvement in my hair nor any differences between the silk groom and other leave in conditioner. I still could not get use to the smell :(
