I find that it did nothing for my skin, if anything, it made it a little worse. It was a little drying. I used the Freeman one (Mint & Lemon) and it worked way better! A lot of people actually told me that Queen Helene's was better but not in my case..
I've not written a review for ages! My skin has been acting up since the end of last year so I have been feeling sorry for myself, have finally got it a bit more under control and thought a new review was in order.
I have only used this mask a handful of times over the last few weeks. I actually bought it about two months ago but was scared to put anything on my skin in case it aggravated it, but I felt like I needed to introduce a mask to keep my pores clear and build it into my skin care routine. I have used Aztec Indian clay mask in the past and did like the results, it was great when my skin was normal and gave my skin a glow afterwards, but I gradually stopped using it and was worried that since my skin has been worse recently, it may pull up too much to the surface and cause more spots than I could handle! I had heard Queen Helene was a bit more gentle so thought I would give it try. Well it certainly isn't as strong or as drying as the Aztec clay mask, although I did mix the Aztec mask with apple cider vinegar, I'm not sure if water would have been more gentle. Queen Helene is also much more straight forward to use and a lot less messy, which is great.
I have an oil based serum (all natural ingredients, it's lovely) which I use as a moisturiser at night, I like to massage this into my face before I put the Queen Helene mask on ( something I picked up when I used to get facials, they always used a facial oil underneath a clay mask to stop it being too drying). I have to say this combination has been working well for me these last few weeks and my skin looks great afterwards, and I would say it has been helping to keep my skin clear and clear up some stubborn cysts on the left cheek. I know some people said it made their skin worse so I have been using it sparingly and will keep an eye out for any adverse reactions, but so far, so good! Also great price for a huge tub..and I am in the UK, I don't think it is that popular over here but I'll be telling my friends about it.

The mask works alright. It dries out my skin too much and so in result it makes my face even oilier. My pores seem smaller right afterward.
I love this stuff. I dont really see a difference in my skin but I love how it feels when you leave it on. I do spot treatments on my acne overnight and it always helps the redness the next morning.

Great product great price. It's a fantastic product because I love at home facials and was looking for an alternative to my more expensive natural facial products. I have a few of the queen helene face mask products and this is my favourite.

I rarely use this product because I'm too lazy to use it. But everytime I do use it, I wonder why I don't use it more often, because it's that fantastic!
All I do is tie my hair back, cleanse my face with my facial cleanser then dry my face completely. Then I apply this all over my face, avoiding the eye areas. There's a somewhat minty feeling when applied. The tube says it takes 15 minutes to dry, but it really takes anywhere from 10-20 minutes depending how much product you apply.
When it dries, it dries to a lighter shade of green and is powdery to the touch. Your facial muscles also feel much more restricted, but you can still talk and smile and such.
After it's dried completely, I just wash it off with lukewarm or warm water and pat my face dry.
The results are amazing each time: soft, glowing skin! This is the only product I've ever used that can make my skin look like it's bright and glowing yet at the same time make my skin feel like how it felt like when I was a toddler. I'm only 19, so I don't have aging skin, but this mask just made my skin look and feel that much more soft and glowing.
Also it seems to have removed/shrunken some of my tiny pimples (I have persistent minor acne), but for some reason, it only does that sometimes.
The product is somewhat difficult to get out of the squeeze tube because the product is extremely thick, but it's not like I have to wrestle it out.
Nonetheless, this is an absolutely fantastic mask that I will find myself repurchasing for years and years to come.
After all, for less than $4 for 8 whole ounces (227 grams) of product, you seriously can't go wrong.
Would I repurchase? Yes!

Pros
- smoother skin
- rids of acne
Cons
- drying
- hard to squeeze product out
Comments: I use this as a spot treatment only, since I find this way too drying despite having only skin. Got rid of blackheads temporarily as it stopped working after a while. Will continue to use for any breakouts, though.
Will repurchase.

This is a great, no frills mask to use a couple times a week. I use a light layer on freshly cleansed skin. Dries quickly and is very easy to rinse off. Leaves skin feeling clean and fresh. I live in Canada and this product does not seem to be readily available at drugstores. I found this at Sally Beauty Supply. My only gripe about this product is that it comes in a gigantic plastic jar. I would prefer it came in a tube that I could squeeze out but that's a minor issue. All in all, a great, cheap alternative if you are looking for a mask you can use occasionally to deep cleanse your skin.
I love, love, love this mask! Queen Helene has a few other masks, but this one is great for acne-prone, oily skin, or for redness and large pores. It goes on very smoothly, and has a nice minty smell. After washing your face you apply and leave on for 15 min., and you will start to feel it tightening as it dries. You remove with water, and you instantly see results. My face always looks brighter, clearer, and any redness or larger pores will be gone! This is such a great-quality product.

After originally using Freeman's Avocado & Oatmeal Clay Mask, this is a bit of a disappointment. Although I was more than satisfied with the Freeman mask, I decided to try this one after all the spectacular reviews. It had an odd consistency going on, and felt extremely drying. I understand masks are supposed to feel drying, but the dry feeling continued long after I washed the mask off. I tried to combat the dryness with my usual Cetaphil Daily Moisturizer, which normally does a great job for hydrating my skin, but it was no match for this mask. In addition, it did not make my skin any less oily then it normally was or improve blackheads/mild acne. Afterward, I experienced a minor breakout on my cheek, which I cannot 100% contribute to this product but I'm certainly not ruling it out. I have normal skin, so maybe this is the reason why this mask didn't really work for me. 3 stars for packaging, price, and quantity of product, but this fell way short in terms of effects. Do your skin a favor, buy the Freeman's mask instead, it does all of the things this product claims to do without leaving your face reminiscent of the Sahara Desert.
