Literally the BEST foundation I have ever owned. I have been looking for years for the perfect foundation that offers actual FULL coverage and stays on all day and most importantly (to me) doesn't make me break out. So many times have I read reviews about makeup being "full coverage" and to me it's barely a medium coverage. I have gotten many compliments on this makeup looking "light" on my face since a little goes a long way and to someone that has a few blemishes and mild scarring, this is a major compliment.
I have never broken out with this makeup, even the few times I've actually slept with it on (oops), but even then, it really does have a 24 hour stay. If you're looking for something that has great full coverage, doesn't make you break out, doesn't dry the skin, and stays on literally all day and into the next, I would definitely recommend this foundation. It's a bit on the pricey side, but honestly, it's amazing and worth it!
This makes my skin look flawless all day.
I work at Sephora and I have tried about every foundation in there, and when it comes to coverage Kat Von D is the winner! It sells really good, its a matte finish so it works great on mostly all skin types. But I always tell my clients to be sure to finish it with a powder! its a must because your face can get oily. But i completely love it, specially when used with an airbrushing brush. It looks completely flawless! <3 its a must buy ladies! if you like full coverage, flawless and clean look. ;D
I completely love this foundation. No matter what, after applying this my skin looks flawless. Even though it is a 'heavier' foundation, it does not feel or look that way. My skin is more on the oily side and it is honestly the best one I have ever tried.
This would be a really awesome product if I could find the shade that fits my skin tone. I tried on a few of the shades, while at sephora, medium 62 & medium 64, both shades were way too grayish. Unfortunately the location where I was at didn't carry the shades higher than 64. I decided to order the medium 68, this is the closest shade to my skin tone, unfortunately it has a reddish undertone, and my undertone is golden. I still decided to keep it because I tend to get darker/redder in the summer. However, I do agree with the other reviews, it is easily transferrable, but the full coverage is amazing! I have oily/acne prone skin, and I don't need any concealer for this foundation. It hides my discolorations and blemishes perfectly. I just wished Kat's foundations had more golden undertone finishes instead of pink, yellow, & beige.
The BEST matte full coverage foundation I have used. This product covers perfectly and I had no problem finding the right shade for my pale skin...will definitely be buying again!!!!
I've heard so many good things about this foundation on youtube. Everyone was raving about how well this covered up redness/acne scars, so i was immediately attracted to it. I got off the drug accutane about three months ago. My skin is acne free, but i have lots of redness and scars. Also, my skin is producing oil again, so now i'm combination/oily. I went to sephora to pick up the foundation because i couldn't control myself. The price is $34 which isn't too expensive for a high end product. I have pale skin , so when i went to check for my shade, i had to narrow it down between the lightest and second lightest shades. The lightest was too light, so i went to the second. It looked like a perfect match , so i got it. I tried it out as soon as i got home (couldn't resist) and at first i LOVED the stuff. It really does have a crazy good coverage & makes the skin look flawless. However, after it dried it turned very pink. It really upset me.. I've been trying to mix it with lighter foundations but i haven't found the perfect combo yet. Did anyone else find it had a overpowering pink undertone?
OH. MY. GOD. I have FINALLY found my HG foundation!!!!!! I have paler than pale skin and I can NEVER find a color that matches for me. every foundation I have tried is either too dark or looks pink. this stuff is AMAZING. I wish I had this ten years ago in high school! I have oily, acne prone skin that breaks out in cystic lumps (cute, right?) and this makeup doesn't make me break out at all and covers EVERYTHING!!! I can't believe how flawless this makes my face! I absolutely swear by this and will be using it until the day I die. I would recommend this to anyone looking for full matte coverage that doesn't want to look like a corpse.
I bought this foundation because I have bad breakouts/acne scars and was looking for something to cover it.
I started using it in the middle of winter, when it was super cold outside, so my skin was extremely dry. This foundation, while looking great in the mirror in the morning, looked HORRIBLE when I went outside. It flaked and cracked and left me looking terrible. I also used a beauty blender to apply it, and I honestly felt like it was too thick for the blender to handle. I found using a brush to be much better. Make sure to moisturize under this foundation, because it does NOT handle dry skin well.
I have pitted acne scars, and for those of you out there looking to cover them up as well, make sure you dab some on, then stipple it in before blending! It works amazingly if you do this! If not, it will st on top and just look terrible. The coverage is amazing.
I do find the need to touch up with powder after about 5 hours, though I tend to be oily.
UPDATE: I eventually just had to quit using this because it just completely settles into cracks and makes ANY dry spots (even in humid weather when I definitely don't have dry skin) look terrible. Never have I worn makeup to work and looked so bad I washed it off in the bathroom. I loved the amount of scars that it covered but it was NOWHERE near worth it.
This is the only foundation in Sephora that matches my skin tone. I'm the color light 42 and it works so well. It's very thick, but I have mild acne so it really helps cover up blemishes. In order to have this foundation not go on REALLY thick (because its meant to be full coverage honestly, it should be pretty thick tbh) I use the real techniques stipling brush for lighter application. After using weeks of samples from sephora, I finally broke down and ordered the full size online last night. I'm very glad I did, as the price was less than foundations I had used previously (nars, Sisley) and I got some free samples too! I always use a primer and continue to exfoliate while using this foundation because I d have dry patches and when they're very bad this foundation can stick a bit. But it's worth it for the coverage and color if you're anywhere as white as me!
