lotion is not in full liquid form. it comes in semi-liquid-gel texture so it takes a while to be absorbed into the skin. a great product to be used together with hitachi hada crie (ionic hand held massaging/cleansing system). i developed itchy red bumps from its arbutin line and the hydrating line works well for me so far. i woke up with supple and well-moisturized skin (make sure to use a good moisturizer and serum as well).
This is one of the most amazing products I tried in the last 6 months! It was a great surprise to buy a product that does what promises. It's a simple product that can be used many ways: as a toner, as a moisturizer, as a serum,...I will buy again, for sure!!!!
This is my absolute HG product!
I have combination-oily skin and this baby has made my skin so hydrated without overdoing it.
When I started using this product, I noticed that my skin wasn't pumping as much oil as it was probably already hydrated.
It's a watery-gel consistency and it's absolutely transparent.
Some people say this gel does not absorb well into the skin, that's probably because you're using too much of it.
I use only 2-3 drops for my entire face. I rub it in between my palms and press against my skin.
I definitely notice that my skin has gotten much more hydrated.
As my skin isn't dry, I opt for a light, gel moisturizer afterwards as this alone will not be able to moisturize fully.
I'm almost running out on my first bottle, which I've used for about 6 months and I'm going to go get my second one very soon!
to be honest---I've used up 5 bottles of this stuff in the past two years.
it is the best friend of my sensitive dry skin.after cleansing, this is the only product I use.it's toner, moisturizer 2 in 1, the high proportion of hyaluronic acid in it hydrates my skin instantly and the hydrated effect lasts all day long.but it's a little annoying because it's absorbed rather slowly, you need to do some patting all over for at least 30 seconds to get off that sticky feeling.after 30 seconds, everything is perfect.
to my relief, there's no alcohol or colorant or fragrance in it, so it never breaked me out.
at about 15 dollars/170ml, how can you not like it?
So this is actually called a "lotion" in Japan, but it's more like what Americans consider a toner, though it's not for wiping things off your face. You take 3 - 4 drops in your palm, rub your hands together, and then pat this in all over. I find that doing so makes my face super soft, bright, clean, and plump. You might find it sticky at first, but the feeling goes away, no worries. This does an amazing job at hydrating your skin -- I haven't had a dry patch since I've started using this. As someone with terribly oily skin, I love how light this feels, and that it can hydrate without being thick and rich.
Love love love this product. I have been using it for about a year. It has really improved the overall quality of my skin! Hydration is the foundation of good skin and this is by far, the best hydration product I've used. It's gentle and effective. Feels a bit sticky at first application, but doesn't create an "oily" feeling throughout the day which is important for tropical climate. This is my HG!
This is indeed a very good moisturizing toner/ serum that I bought as a replacement for the freaking expensive Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. Unfortunately, the lovely hydrating effect doesn't last very long which is the main deal breaker for me. I need all the help I can get within the moisture departement to soften fine lines during a long working day so I will have to get back to ANR.
The Hada Labo toner's main ingredient is hyaluronic acid, which is supposed to trap in moisture and plump up the skin. I wanted to try this toner after I finished my Shiseido toner because it seemed to be a cheaper alternative.
I used it day and night after washing my face and the bottle lasted for over a year. I use about 3-4 drops and pat it on my face until all is absorbed. After this toner, I use a Vitamin C serum and it leaves the skin glowing and hydrated.
Within the first few weeks of use, I did not see much of a difference in the skin texture, but after two months, my skin looked so much better than before. I went on vacation for a few weeks and I did not bring this toner along and my skin felt much dryer.
While this product is very good, it is not a miracle product. There is much hype about the effectiveness of this product, but it will not make your skin look brighter overnight. The label in the back recommends to use this day and night and you will see promising results after 6 months.
I love this toner and even though applying it is an extra step, the results are definitely worth it.
This product has saved my skin this winter- usually I am a flakey mess because of the dryness, but not this year!
I use it in the evening as a lotion masque (Chizu Saeki-style). In the morning, I just pat it on after my shower.
NOTE: This is the lotion, there's another product in the same range that looks extremely similar, but it's a "milk" and it broke me out!!!
I bought this after seeing their advertisements everywhere... i was seeing it on TV, on the bus, random ads every corner i turned. Then i saw it in the drugstore and figured why not just try it.
It was amazing!! I have combination skin and moisturisers are either too rich for me on my T-zone (causing tiny oil bumps) or not rich enough on my cheeks and chin (causing my skin to feel dry and bumpy)....
I use this alone after cleansing, it's enough and i don't need anything else.
This even things out, makes my cheeks/chin hydrated and my T-zone feeling nice and not clogged up. My skin felt plump, fresh, and powdery smooth! I was so amazed i couldn't help but keep touching my face hehe. It absorbs into the skin so fast and just leaves it feeling hydrated, i can't feel any product on my skin after it absorbs.
It's the first bottle of moisturiser i have ever finished, and it's such a huge bottle for a low price. I bought a refill packet (great that they have these!) and i've finished that too.
I am now using the Kose Sekkisei lotion which is extremely similar to the Hada Labo, cos i won it at a lucky draw. It's a signature product which I would say the effects are almost identical, the only difference i notice is that the Kose is slightly more watery in texture. Hada Labo is selling for a fraction of Kose's price so it's definitely my choice.
