Words cannot describe how thankful I am for this serum. Seriously, you think I'm exaggerating but I'm not. Until I started using this, I had suffered from hundreds of super stubborn, tiny flesh-colored bumps on my forehead, cheeks, chin for over 10 years. My face was so oily I was blotting at least 4 times a day. I tried tons of products but nothing helped. Then I started using Advanced Night Repair. In less than a week, every bump I fought for years vanished. Within 2-3 weeks, my skin no longer needed blotting. I couldn't believe it. I stopped using it for a few days and the bumps started to reappear so I quickly went back to reapplying nightly. After 6-7 months, however, I found that I could go longer periods of time without using it. I am down to once a week now and my skin still stays radiant, smooth, and even. This product has been nothing short of a miracle for me.

This product is a god send.
My mum (who has unbelievably beautiful skin for someone who's 60) advised me to try her Advanced Night Repair serum just to see if it works.
I couldn't believe my eyes the next morning. The redness on my skin was gone, there was this amazing sheen/glow on my face that i have never seen. My skin felt powdery/silky smooth... and... as a bonus, the small pimple that has been on my cheek for around a week, HEALED overnight...
I feel like i should tone down what i just said in case people who are reading it feel that i'm just overexcited/gushing/exaggerating... but no i'm not.
This is absolute HG for me. I have been using it for 1-2 months now... and with everything else constant in my skincare routine, my colleagues have come up to me and told me that i look fresher, prettier, more radiant, etc. They're asking me why i have been putting on more makeup recently....
... but... the truth is i have been putting on LESS makeup... IT'S JUST MY SKIN... *tears of gratitude to the good people who invented this serum*

After hearing good reviews, I decided to try this product. I don't have many skin issues, but when I do get the odd blemish, it takes several weeks for the red marks to fade on my fair skin. I was hoping the "repair" part of the serum would speed up the healing process. When I asked for a bottle, the sales assistant at Esteé Lauder raved about it too. She said she can always tell which customers use it when they come to her counter. She also said that it's a preventative treatment, so if you start using it at a young age, even if you feel you don't need it yet, you will definitely reap the benefits when you get older.
The product comes in a brown plastic bottle with an eyedropper in the cap. I was told to take 2 drops and apply it all over my face. Even though I have combination skin with an oily T-zone, my skin soaked this stuff right up. I found that I had to use at least 4 drops initially, to feel as though I covered my entire face. However, as my skin became more hydrated, I could use fewer drops. I also felt that the product normalized my skin, making it less oily.
The product has a medicinal smell that I don't find unpleasant. It has a smooth consistency and spreads easily over the skin. It is absorbed almost instantly, although I find that it can leave a sticky feeling for a short while if I use too much. Initially I used it morning and night. It did not affect my makeup application or its staying power.
As for how well the product performs, I find it almost miraculous. I noticed a difference in my skin after four days of use. My face appeared brighter, more evenly toned, blemishes were faded. The more I used it, the better I looked. Within two weeks, I was happily leaving the house without any makeup on my skin. Not even concealer. I was glowing, radiant, I felt that my skin hadn't looked or felt better in years.
My skin looked so good that I became lazy. I stopped applying ANR every night, because it's expensive and I didn't need it any more. I just used it to spot-treat any blemishes. In the past, I'd struggle with the same blemish for 2 to 3 weeks, with ANR it was gone in 3 days.
I started using the product in summer, then fell out of the habit in autumn. Now it is winter and my skin started becoming uncharacteristically dry. I've added ANR back into my daily skincare routine and already feel the benefits of its hydrating properties. It feels as though it allows my moisturizer to perform better.
To me, this product has become indispensable. I will repurchase this for as long as they make it. It didn't break me out, it healed existing blemishes and my skin also didn't become "used" to it and react negatively when I stopped using it for a while. My mother, who has dry skin, also uses it and feels the same way about how wonderful this product is.

ANR is resistant to tanning! i've been using this for a year now, and have yet to see it working its wonders. Two weeks ago, I went to a Water-Themed Park, whole day of exposure under the sun darkened me (of course!). I did slap on sun-screen,but somehow it just dissolved inside the waters. Later on,I was tanned all over, bodyskin was peeling, but I realised that my face was the least tanned and did not peel. So yes, ANR helped! :)

I bought this because of the rave reviews here. sigh......it didn't work for me. It broke me out horribly(whiteheads all over my cheeks). I think this product would work for people over the age of 28. This serum is very light and the texture is quite liquidy. Overall, this is not a bad product but just not for me. I think my skin didn't like estee lauder products. I have tried the blue bottle serum and it broke me out as well. ;-(
This is a great serum! I don't have tons of concerns with my skin but I was told everyone should use this, so I thought "why not?". It helped even out my skin tone and absorb moisture better. My complexion improved. Overall clarity. I'm impressed with the results and will continue to use.

Oh, how I wanted to love this product. Unfortunately I fall into the “this product massively breaks me out” category. (In fact, all EL products do – Time Zone is the absolute WORST of them). I broke out for a straight month, all over my face, and then basically severely on my chin (massive, under the skin, red pimples). I have used Differin for 10 years, and I will say that this stuff (layered underneath the Differin each night) was a huge help in preventing the typical Retin-A flaking, but unfortunately my skin just does not agree with it otherwise.
I can see how people love it for brightness and tone enhancement – but if you are a new user, and start breaking out shortly after using it, you might want to take a couple days off and see if the ANP is the culprit. Again, this is my experience with all EL products, so clearly there is something they use that I am just unable to tolerate.
I actually really like the eyedropper packaging - so 5 stars for that EL!

Love this product.
I've had a problem with acne due to PCOS for over 15 years (currently taking an Isotretinoin drug), so it's a daily battle against breakouts and blackheads etc. (they become inflamed if I don't clean out the pores...). At the moment, I don't get breakouts due to the drug, but it turns out my skin is very splotchy underneath (I was surprised to discover that). Right now, my skin is virtually clear but skin tone is very uneven...
The best thing about this serum is that it heals wounds and redness from picking at my skin. Especially in combination with the La Mer cream. Now I keep using the serum to fade the brown spots (acne marks). Unfortunately, with this drug, my skin renewal seems to have almost stopped, so the serum doesn't fade marks nearly as fast as before. Still, it's the best product I know of and can more or less afford, so I keep using it. Soon I won't be taking the drug anymore, so I hope that by then my skin tone will have become evened out. (I'm afraid that after that the acne will return, as it has in the past...)
I have discovered the serum less than a year ago and have repurchased it many times already.

After reading all the reviews here and seeing that this really seems to be a time-trusted, quality product, I went to my local Macys and picked up a bottle. My first impression was that it had a much different texture and smell than I expected. I would say it smells sort of like a pine tree (?) and feels somewhat sticky for a while after applying but not immediately moisturizing. This is a serum after all so its moisturizing properties aren't great. If you are extra dry, just slap on a layer of something on top (I use Cerave lotion on dry nights). When I originally tried this I didn't form much of an opinion. I did wake up to somewhat brighter skin, but I use Retin A every 2 days and nothing compares to what that Rx does overnight. So I forgot about this product for a while and moved on. Recently I moved cross-country and the first thing out of my big box from NY was this. I still use Retin A, which is a wonder product, but it's harsh. So I sort of got into the groove of using this on my days off. I have to say that the more consistently I use this product the more I like it. I've been using it most nights for about a month, and I can see that my skin looks and feels healthier the longer I use it. It's not a "I woke up and all my (wrinkles/melasma/acne) were gone!" product (no product is) but I have to say there is definitely a reason that so many people trust it. It's very gentle, doesn't clog my pores, seems to help my adult acne and brightens my skin (I've definitely noticed decreased redness). So unfortunately it's not going to cure your face of age, but if you buy this product with grounded expectations it can really be a staple on your counter. Not the most exciting product out there but there really is a reason that it's been around for so long!
