This is one of my go to handcreams during the cold Canadian winter months..this saves my hands! I get winter eczema on my hands and this does a good job of taming down the redness and prevents future irritation.
I do not find this helps with extremely dry skin, but nor does this cream claim to fix/repair dry skin. but i am on the look out for one that does. In the meantime I will continue to use this and will repurchase. :)
For too long I've ignored my hands. I usually have quite a bit of dryness in the area between my thumb and index finger. I finally decided to make an effort to change that.
I picked this up after reading many reviews. The Eucerin also had good reviews but I guess it has AHAs or something which can leave your skin more vulnerable to sun damage. Since I have extremely fair skin & don't want any more unnecessary aging on my hands, went with the Aveeno.
This product doesn't have a strong smell, it soaks in quickly and works well. It doesn't really last through hand washing but I guess thats ok.
This is such a find. Provides instant relief, absorbs without any tackiness, softens and smooths skin immediately. Truly fragrance free, and the benefits seem to last, especially when I use daily. Wish the tube was "prettier", but works so well, is so affordable and has such good ingredients. Beats every other brand I've tried, and it feels like I've tried them all, including the pricy ones. Hope it's never discontinued. No gimmicks, just results.
Excellent product at a really low price. I have rough hands since beginning of summer due to gardening without gloves (can't really garden properly with them on) and the soil sucks all the moisture out of my hands. No other cream has relieved this problem till this one. Non greasy, absorbs immediately and has no smell. I have used both drug store brands and high end brands of hand cream and none of them moisturized as fast and thoroughly as this one. I will def. repurchase.
I alternate between 3 hand creams: L'Occitane Shea Butter in my bag to apply during the day, then Avveno Intense Relief and Neutrogena Norwegian Formula at bedtime. The reasons I'm currently using Aveeno more than the other brands:
-the product is absorbed immediately into the skin
-the is absolutely NO greasy residue (I can't stress this enough)
-the product is 100% fragrance free
-it is non-irritating for those with sensitive skin
That said, I will re-evaluate this review in about 3 months after I've given the Aveeno time to work its magic. So far I am most satisfied with the fact that the product is absorbed immediately into the skin; I hope this means that it is going to do serious work and not just sit on the surface of my neglected hands.
Lastly, I just read a review over on sunscreen that concluded with very wise advice: young girls, don't neglect your hands & chest when using sunscreen & moisturizer. Trying to play catch-up is no fun, lol!!!
i cant stand greasy lotions___who can???___this is one is brilliant. i read the reviews and wasnt still sure but grabbed it.
i always now keep it by my computer:apply it and immidiately start typing, which you cant do with greasy hands.
my hands super soft, yes, even after i wach them 2-3 times.
I am a religious appplier of hand cream every night, and not untill I bought this (on advice of a magazine's best product list) did I ever see a major difference.
My hands are so incredibly soft I cannot believe it!
Great stuff, highly reccomend
I've been using for a year now. Its pretty good. Soft on the hands. Only buy it when its on sale. Sorta pricey. Non greasy. Dont have that weird smell to it.
This is the only hand lotion that I can use without any issues. It does everything that it says it does. I have eczema plus rough calluses from playing an instrument, and this stuff really does soothe and do the job, even in winter. It isn't greasy, so you can put it on and go about your normal business in about less than a minute. It stays on through a couple rounds of washing your hands, which is amazing for me because washing your hands when you have a flare up of eczema can be really painful. If you have a rash or cracked skin, this won't sting either. Better than prescription cream, and no weird smell (I think it smells like oats). Seriously worth the 6 or 7 dollars you pay for it.
Theres one feeling I hate more than anything in the world: dry hands. For some reason it makes me cringe. I have been buying lots of more expensive hand creams like from sephora and have been dissapointed. With this hand cream it really doesn't leave my hands feeling greasy and it keeps my hands moisturized for a good period of time. It claims 24 hours, but I wash my hands all the time and the moisture will last through at least one hand wash. Which I find to be amazing. I leave this hand cream at home though and apply it before I go out (it is too large to bring for travel in my opinion). If they came out with a travel size this would be perfect and I would bring it everywhere I go! If you've been on the hunt for a great hand cream and have been coming up empty handed I suggest giving this one a try. I got 3.5 oz for about $6 at walmart. I get over twice the product for a less price for better quality than more expensive brands!
