After reading the reviews on MUA I decided to give this mascara a try since it's so cheap. It really makes my lashes look fuller and it stays on all day. It also hardly clumps which I normally have an issue with, I think because I don't have to apply so much because only a few strokes does it. I was so excited when I found this worked so good because it was only 4.99 the cheapest mascara I've ever bought.
My favourite mascara, better than lancome
Cant fault it!
Bought this after seeing reviews on youtube but was skeptical because its an inexpensive product. Although I cannot use it on my lower lashes because it did transfer on me, I cannot say enough good stuff about how much I love it on my upper lashes. The brush is like no other I've tried before, its long and skinny, the bristles are not consistent in length or density around the wand, it also has a ball-ish tip that really reaches my inner harder to reach lashes. One coat really does provide enough length and volume, and I am a fan of heavy mascara, two coats is a home run! Its super volumizing and lengthening. Strange enough, it does not flake or transfer on my upper lashes so for the price I am ok with buying a separate mascara for my lower lashes. Never confuse inexpensive for cheap, this mascara is a lesson in that concept! Highly recommended.
MY CURRENT FAVE MASCARA! Love it! And ridiculously cheap!!!
By far my favorite drugstore-like mascara. Love almost everything about it: the brush, the coverage, the volume, the definition. The perfect amount of product comes out, the formula is great from the first swipe. Two coats is great, but three is perfect.
My one gripe is that it transfers on me. I have only ever had one other mascara do that (Voluminous by L'Oreal), so I'm rather sad this otherwise fabulous mascara does it. I may have to try the waterproof version (is there one?) to see if that cures the problem.
Edit 7/14: I started using a different mascara on my bottom lashes to see if that solved my smudging problem and it did! I L-O-V-E the look this gives my top lashes. I find myself reaching for this more than any other mascara I own (I pair with Maybelline F&S for my lower, in case anyone is looking for a combo that works well).
No need to write the same thing as all the ladies - one word - AMAZING! HUGE lashes and clump free! would definitely buy another tube. A+++
This price is ridiculously cheap and stays put but the brush is large and awkward to get a clean swipe on lashes. It also pulls way too much out and clumps occurred in less than a month's time. Once it's on tho, it looks good so if you're willing to work with it, then it's worth it.
Better than most everything if you like crazy volume! V black. Difficult to remove without a proper cleanser, more difficult than most mascaras. Lengthens a lot, too!
I ran out of my One by One by Maybelline, and i really liked it. But i wanted to try something else (and cheaper).
When i saw this on the new collection from Essence it really caught my attention because of it's brush and claims. Also, the other mascara (black tube) from this line is really popular, although i never tried it.
After the first time i used it, i was completely sure it's the best mascara i've tried.
I have already long lashes, so i want volume and curl.
This mascara gives curl (without using any lash curler), it separates the lashes, gives the perfect volume and without clumps or smudging all day ^^
The biggest differences between this and the Maybelline One by One is this one gives more volume (lashes appear fuller, which i like) and it doesn't make the lashes hard, they remain flexible to the touch. Also, they don't look as clumped - it's more natural looking.
And i find it looks really natural. To me, the lashes don't look like those on the photo above, because i only use one coat and the result is perfect to me and to day wear. :)
I'm very happy with this mascara, and i will definitely repurchase :D
For certain ocasions, it may look that i'm using too much makeup, because it really makes my lashes pop. For those days, when i'm looking for a really really natural look, i use Essence Multiaction mascara.
So far so good! Ive been wearing this for the ppast few days and I am liking the outcome.
- lengthens as well as thickens
- rubber bristles means definition for me
- cheap! Something like $5AUD
- lasts all day and holds a curl
- sold out everywhere and rarely restocked
- pink tube is kinda tacky and childish
- flakes into my eyes at the end of the day when cleaning off
- tube is quite bulky
Overall Essence never fails to impress me on quality. They are my new favourite brand.
