This is practically a miracle cream for me! My 30-something skin can only be described as dry with frequent breakouts. This stuff smooths my face, softens my skin, and it really helps prevent and diminish breakouts - I have much, much clearer skin since I started using this. I've been through several gwp bottles, purchased the extra-large size and used it up, and I'll happily buy another when this last gwp size runs out.

This product is very deceptive. Yes, initially when you put it on it makes you smoother and nicer textured. However, as far as changing the skin quality, it really does NOTHING. The initial smoothness is due to the silicones in it, so you're really feeling the slick silicone and not your skin. It did not change the texture or redness of my skin. It did not make me break out and it does smell nice, so I guess it could be a nice light moisturizer, but for $46 dollars an ounce it's not worth it! I will not buy again.

I really love this product!! I have very oily, cystic acne-prone skin, and this extremely lightweight serum makes all my pores virtually disappear! My skin feels incredibly soft, smooth, evenly toned and looks absolutely radiant, even at the end of the day when I wash off all my makeup!! Idealist contains a lot of anti-oxidants and is a PERFECT base for my sunscreen and foundation. Everything glides on smoothly, without pilling or balling up, and the end result is beautiful-looking skin!! Surprisingly, Idealist hasn't clogged my pores or broken me out, which is an absolute miracle, considering how volatile my skin is. Even though this is an expensive skincare product, I will buy it again because my skin has never looked better!!! If you had bad luck with other skin refinishers like Olay Regenerist (which I certainly did...it broke me out HORRIBLY), you should try Idealist instead! Plus, it smells absolutely divine!! I wish Estee Lauder would come out with a perfume or body lotion that smells exactly like Idealist because I'm absolutely hooked!

I don't understand all the negative comments on this product. It works beautifully for what it is supposed to do: create smooth skin. Apply your favorite moisturizer over it and your skin is prepped for smooth and easy makeup application. Practically erases the pores on my FFF 40-something face. Price is a little steep, but deals can be had on eBay for sample sizes. continued >>

Had high hopes for this product but after finishing it all I can say is that it feels good on the skin, and itīs a good pre-make up base but didnīt notice anything else. Too expensive to give it another go.

It's an OK product. While it feels good when put on, I didn't notice it does anything to my skin.

I had a sample of this and tried it one winter night. My skin was in terrible shape and I had tried almost every product out there. So with red, dry and rough parched patches, I applied this skin treatment and then applied EL Hydra Complete Multi-Level Moisture Lotion and by the time morning arrived I had new skin. My skin was sooo smooth and soft and no more redness or rough patches.
I immediately went out and purchased some of the skin refinisher. Wow I am hooked :) Thanks EL!

This product did nothing for my skin and cost WAY too much money for such a little amount. I would not suggest buying this.

I use this when my skin gets too sensitive to use an AHA on it. The fruit acid in this is gentler but still gets the job (exfoliation) done. I'm not sure whether it moisturizes, but I love the way my skin feels after I've applied the product, which ensures I will continue buying this.

Idealist; one of the most talked about products. I purchased it because my skin was behaving annoyingly, being blotchy here and there after breakouts. So, I bought this. It's expensive, but whatever, I thought it would be worth it. Hmm..
First of all, the smell is very nice and fresh, and when you put it on, your skin feels incredibly smooth and velvety. I've been using it every AM for a month now, but it hasn't done anything to improve the way my skin LOOKS. it has improved my dry texture, but it didn't even anything out. A bit disappointed.
