Let's just say I wouldn't care use this on my face again - and I don't have particularly sensitive skin. I love this as a body exfoliator and so does the BF. I only bought this because I have a 50% off coupon for it - but even at $9 (reg.17.95 CDN) for 120gm is WAY too much. I stirred and stirred and was kinda put off by the blue coloring in it. The chunky salt is way too course and I really don't recommend using it on your face! I used this on the BF's back and it made it feel like velvet! I will use up the rest of this tub and never buy it again. I feel like a sucker for even buying it. I don't like feeling like that!

TIP: If you are looking for a great face exfoliator try baking soda mixed in with your cleanser. I have used this for years with great results. It's dirt cheep (maybe $1 a box?) and everyone has it in their cupboard. I make my own salt scrubs out of oil and salt too - nice fine salt NO MEGA CHUNKS! But yah, try the baking soda tip and I swear you will be hooked.

A TIP FOR THE REVIEWER ABOVE ME... we are not complaining about it - it just doesnt work for us. Mine did sit for days and it's still wayyyy too abrasive for facial use IMHO. I am glad you can handle it, but it's not for me. Way too expensive for what it is as well. JMO.

This product could only be described as liquid sandpaper. I've got extremely sensitive skin and my skin turned red and felt blaring hot after one application of this product. Skin did feel smooth afterwards, but along with that came with small bumps - a reaction due to sensitivity of the skin.

Considering that this product is almost natural, you can't really complain as the next best natural scrub would be diamond - imagine how painful that would feel...

Love love love this stuff. I absolutely love the smell, though I could see why others might not, as it's very strong. It truly does smell like a non-alcoholic margarita, though, and the first night I bought it I came back to the bathroom a few times just to open the container and take a whiff. My skin is noticeably softer and smoother after I use it. It's definitely expensive, but since you only need to use a teaspoon or so per session and I wouldn't recommend using it everyday, it'll go a long way.

EDIT: This is way, way too harsh for regular use on my face. Actually, it's way too harsh for any use on my face at all. To try and use up the rest of the tub, I started using it as an exfoliant on my legs before shaving, and it works wonderfully. I finished that tub and have bought a second, and I now have significantly shinier and smoother legs with a much closer shave!

Oh my gosh, this tore my skin up! I mixed it and mixed it but all I get are huge chunks of salt that are really rough on my face. My skin is left irritated but smooth nonetheless. Would not use again though, this has got to be damaging.

I am somewhat ambivalent about this Lush product, much to my dismay. I did a ton of research before I finally took the plunge and shelled out all that money for it. I find that it burns my skin (the lime and vodka, no doubt) and doesn't seem as gritty as I imagined it would be, but perhaps I should be grateful for that--it might just hurt more! It REALLY burned the first time I used it....so bad I had to wash it off right away and I've always been willing to suffer a bit for beauty....my skin has gotten used to it though. Unlike Angels on Bare Skin, this doesn't leave my skin feeling super soft and smooth, but rather tacky and residue-y (for lack of a better word). Perhaps I just got a bad batch, but I am disappointed. I haven't broken out from it, so that's good right? I do have a bit of acne, so it might just be the contact between broken skin and some of the ingredients that makes it so uncomfortable. All in all, I think I'll use the rest of it but go back to AOBS when I am done. If you want a great product, try the Sexy Peel soap, smells just like Froot Loops! Yummy!

I liked this at first, but I agree with other reviewers that it's too harsh, too salty, and has alcohol. Obviously not healthy for your skin. Since I have so much of it left, I'll use it as a body exfoliator now and then, but won't buy again. Also, the smell makes me want to throw up. Literally.

It contains vodka (also known as alcohol, which you should never be putting on your skin) and it really damages your skin whether its on your face or body. The granules are extremely sharp and create cuts in your skin, who would want that? It's a very awful product, I wouldn't even give this to my worst enemy.

I love this! One downside though - if you scrub too hard, your face can get somewhat irritated and red. It really helps with drying out my oily skin, and after I put a moisturizer on my face feels silky and smooth. : )

I was skeptical about this at first, but I now use it every day in the shower as part of my face routine. It sloughs off dead skin gently, and keeps my oily skin at bay.
The downside is the price. It's wayyyy too expensive.
