I am really liking this. I found their high definition mascara too clumpy and it seemed to dry out fast, and the naturally glossy I like but it does not add a huge amount to my lashes. This seems to define and lengthen really well, goes on very smooth, seems to thicken well too(I am not sure that it gives the appearance of doubling, but it does look like I have more lashes). It doesn't smudge either. This may be my new fave.

I'm not sure about the smudging issue some other reviewers have mentioned; I haven't had that issue with this mascara (or any other mascara for that matter.) I really do like this mascara; it's natural enough, not drag queen, but it does make a difference. I saw my sister today and I asked her if my eyes looked different-she said that at first she didnt notice but then said (without me prompting her!) that my lashes looked a lot fuller and a bit longer than usual. And I wear mascara every time I see her, so that means this is a better mascara for me. I am pleased with it, and though I don't like that I paid twice what I would pay in a drugstore, it does seem to have an effect, so it's okay. When I have the funds, I will repurchase. Thumbs up! :)

I received as trial size as a gift with purchase. It gave decent length but was really nothing to write home about. I would not purchase the full size. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the smudging as I tried it on at night to see if I even liked it. I will report back if I experience raccoon eyes since I never get that from mascara.

I hate this mascara. By the end of the day I look like a racoon. Not to mention my eyeballs are on fire....all itchy and red. I LOVE Clinique, but not this mascara. Also, first few applications go on smoothly, but after a few weeks, it's CLUMP CITY!!!! I can do better at Walgreens by buying L'Oreal for a third of the price.

Holy crap, can we say smudge city? I applied this mascara in the am, and when I had a chance to catch a glance in the mirror around 3 I had raccoon eyes! It looked like someone punched me! It didn't double my lashes either-CD maximeyes is still my holy grail. No way will I ever buy this again!

This is just an average mascara; nothing to rave about. In all fairness, I got the gwp sample, so perhaps, the full sized version is better. It's 13.50 USD and there are better drugstore mascaras for less. I do believe it lives up to its name--it is lash doubling, but if you don't have a great set to start out with, don't expect much from this mascara.

This mascara is just okay...not great, but not horrible either. It definitely thickens my lashes well and makes them stand out. Also, I like how it lasts all day. But it seems a little clumpy to me and smudges easier than it should. With so many options for mascara out there, there's no reason to settle for anything less than perfect! I wouldn't buy it again.

UPDATE: Upped this to a 5 because I went out last night, and before doing so, I curled my lashes (with two coats of this already on) and applied two more coats of this mascara (wiping the brush each time, naturally, to apply thin layers). After 4 coats total (I was using a deep navy blue eyeshadow, liner, smokey eye look, etc), I can honestly say that my lashes did not look in the least bit clumpy, spidery, negative in any way. I don't usually wear a lot of make-up, but for the times when I want to go for a dramatic eye, I would feel confident and comfortable in many layers of this mascara. This will be a keeper for me. Original review: This is pretty good for a voluminizing mascara. It only adds a little curve, not a lot of curl, but then it doesn't claim to. That's what eyelash curlers are for, imo, so I didn't reduce the score for that. I like this because I can put it on in about 30 seconds in the morning (after dabbing the wand on a tissue to minimize clumping, of course) and it adds a LOT of impact for an "every day" mascara. Also, it doesn't "set" (i.e. dry) too quickly, so I can really layer it on and play with the shape/location of the lashes so it's just exactly how I want it to be by the time it dries. Seems like a minor annoyance, but I hate it when I have to "dry brush" my lashes with a clean wand after applying mascara and they end up looking...dry and odd. Anyways, back to this mascara...it thickens and darkens my lashes so nicely that I can skip eyeliner if I'm going for a natural look (which I do most days) and not feel as if my eyes are invisible. I got this as a GWP, and I plan on purchasing it soon. It's very black and really plumps my puny lashes while adding a bit of length, too. I just switched from Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof (thankfully summer is ending, so I can go back to a normal mascara, waterproofs are so gross...anyways, I digress) to this, and I've been getting a lot of compliments from my girlfriends about how my lashes look so great lately! I gave it a 4 because, as with any non-waterproof, it "bleeds" to the undereye area a bit during the day sometimes if I sweat a lot/get very oily/eyes water, etc, but it's not water-proof so that's to be expected a bit. Not a huge deal, though, since it's easy to remove with a swipe of the finger or tissue. If it was more transfer-resistant, it would be a 5. Very happy with it's performance, and I suspect it won't be 20 or more dollars like some of the other dept. store mascaras. I'll update if I'm shocked by the price when I purchase the full size (e.g. it's more than 12-13 dollars).
