I bought this thinking the oatmeal would be soothing to my skin and I was so wrong! After just the first use my face would be red and itchy and I don't have sensitive skin either! As soon as I stopped using this and went back to Olay SPF lotion my skin was fine. I won't be buying any Aveeno products again.
I bought this lotion b/c I love the Aveeno oatmeal daily moisturizing lotion. Initially I liked this product, the shiny specks in it made my skin look glowy. Then I began experiencing a lot of dryness and flaking on my cheeks (and I have oily skin). Thinking that I just needed to use more moisturizer, I used more of it and began flaking even more. When I stopped using it, the flakiness went away. I'll use it once in a while now (I still have half a bottle) and it's ok as long as I don't use it too many days in a row. It IS kind of greasy though, and I find the fragrance lingers, which I don't like. I use Olay SPF daily moisturizer now and like it a lot.
I got a free collection of full size Positively Radiant Products from modeling in a local fashion show, and since I'm a starving college student I decided to use them when I ran out of my usual skincare products. This moisturizer and the cleansing pads are definitely my favorite products, though the triple serum isn't bad either. It looks like I'm in the minority here, but I really like this lotion. It's fairly thick and absorbs well and immediately softens my skin. It looks a little shiny at first, but after it sinks in my skin is even-toned with just the right amount of "glow". My mineral makeup goes on top very smoothly and usually looks good for the whole day. I like that it has sunscreen, though I don't know how stable it is. I've used it for three months and am only about halfway through the bottle, so it's pretty cost effective as well and I will most likely purchase when I run out.
This is a great product. Works even better then expensive moisturizers.... it leaves my skin with a very healthy glow and feeling soft!
highly recomended

When I was at CVS the lady that worked in the cosmetic aisle reccomened this to me. I have sensative dry skin and this moisturizer did not bother me! It dries into my skin nicely and actually adds moisture. It is the summer and I have not had any t-zone break outs from it. So far so good! It actually works better then my expensive Orgins day moisturizer!
I purchased this daily moisturizer after I ran out of Mary Kay's day solution (which also has an SPF 15).
I like this moisturizer, but I'm not in love with it. It burns slightly after application. It contains a fragrance, which may be the reason why I find it not soothing.
I like it because it has an SPF 15. It goes on thick, so you really need to rub it into your skin.
I've already switched back to Mary Kay's day solution. It offers the same protection and moisture, without the sting and thickness.
I've been trying to figure out why my face has been so oily lately, and I think this is the culprit. When I first started using it, it was fine. I actually did notice a slight evening out of my skin tone. But I've been using it for a few months now, and my skin isn't looking very good anymore. I seem to have this problem with lots of products -- my skin really loves it at first, but then after a few months the benefits of the product disappear. I'm going to need to switch to something else. And I agree with all the comments about the packaging -- the pump clogs way too often.
I also had an allergic reaction to this moisturizer. I attributed it to the Alpha Hydrox I had been using because I thought I might have been using it too often. But after reading these reviews, I think it was the Aveeno. I had a small travel size tube of it and thought I'd give it a try the other night instead of using the AH Souffle. The next day, I had a red face and was itching like crazy! The AH never made me do that, so I'm now attributing the rash to the Aveeno.
If you have sensitive skin, beware!
I do love the radiant look this gave my face but I seem to be breaking out from it :(. Not a bad breakout but I have noticed these little bumps form on my forehead and I think this may be the culprit. Nothing really radiant about forehead bumps so back to Purpose SPF 30 I go.
