Okay.....so I was really really skeptical when the sales push this one me last year since it felt really "oily", but I broke down and bought one anyways. I have to say after using it, I really really like it!! I don't know how to discribe it, but it somehow does what it saids...which is a "fake foundation" look -- my pores look smaller and it does even my skin tone. Although this is NO CONCEALER (which I need, cuz I have some freckles/birth mark) and has very light coverage but I still like it. I'm on my 3rd compact -- and I have to say this stuff runs out Quick for me!

Update 8/10: Have not broken out on this and I have been using it. I'm on my 5th one and will probably continue to purchase this.

Like many other posters, I got the sample at Sephora. It didn't work for me at all. I've got moderately oily, fair (NC15) skin. First of all, it was too dark, and looked noticeably orangey on me. I also did not care for the texture. Like a lot of people with oily skin, I don't like like it when products feel too soft/siliconey--it comes across as slimy to me. It felt like I was spreading grease on my skin.

Coverage was nonexistent. As I mentioned, there was an orange sheen, underneath which I could still see my zits, pores and broken capillaries.

So, my assessment is that you better be some kinda gorgeous to start with, because this isn't gonna get you there! But as much as I disliked it, it's only fair to add that my mother, who has drier and darker skin than I do, was happy with it and is using up the rest of the sample. I am glad it isn't going to waste.

The packaging is just so darn cute -- isn't that how we end up buying so many products? I keep this in my bag for touchups. It covers up the midday redness around my nose and mouth, and it's good for brightening up around your eyes once my makeup has started fading. But I *have* to set this with powder (I use MAC's blotting powder) or else it slides right off. I have an oily T-zone, and most creamy products get me shiny pretty quickly, so that's nothing new. Since I only use it for touch-ups, this container will probably last me forever. I might buy it again once I run out, but probably not. I'm sure there's a better touch-up out there that doesn't need to be set with powder.

I recently changed my job and after a long hard satisfactory week, I wanted to “treat” myself with some sort of high end cosmetic product. I was at Sephora near the BeneFit shelf and ended up buying Some Kind-A Gorgeous even if I wasn't planning on purchasing anything like that. Well, after three weeks of usage, I can’t really say enough good things about this AMAZING foundation - no kidding!! I apply it with a wet sponge almost every morning and my skin looks better than ever! Full coverage and VERY light texture all in one, isn’t that great? Of course it is. HG product, from here to eternity!! *LOL*

I tried this because it was a free sample from Sephora. I found that if I applied it with a foundation brush, it would leave brush marks on my face and I would have to use my fingers to blend it in. I also put my Skin Fusion foundation on top of that for extra coverage. At the end of the day, I discovered that it had creased on my laugh lines which is quite embarrassing and I was shiny all over. This never happens if I were to just use my Skin Fusion Bio Active Soft Focus Fluid Foundation. I am relieved that I didn't buy the full size Some Kind A Gorgeous. I think I'll just stick to Skin Fusion since it works best with my combo skin.

i really like this product, its great for covering up old scars and red spots, i think it fades away too quickly,. but it does have a nice matte finish and covers pores well. my only but is that i think it might make me break out, but so does everything!!!

I didn't buy this as I won it in a BeneFit pack at a charity auction. I use this as my natural foundation, which isn't often. I'm someone who usually only wears foundation on nights out, & then I use more dramatic ones.

However, when I do use this it covers my inperfections quite well & helps keep my oily skin slightly tame. I have medium skin, as in I tan well & i find this slightly too light when I'm really tanned. In the winter it blends in fine! There's also no SPF in it, which I prefer to have.

I love the packaging, with a lovely big mirror, but I don't find the sponge that great & prefer using a brush. I'm still undecided if I'll pay the money for it because I don't use it regularly, but that's the only reason really & this ones lasting ages anyway!! continued >>

This is a great product. it's so easy to use because you don't need to seal it with powder. it gives good all over coverage but it feels like wearing no make up. it makes skin look perfect with just a few swipes with the sponge or sometimes i use my fingers. i love this because of it's ease of use and results. a good product for people who want to look like they have great skin but are not wearing make up and people who are lazy to put a lot of stuff on.

i first i really ddint care bout a cream to powder thingie since i am used to the whole foundation and powder package because i have bad skin.

used it once over my makeup cuz a pimple was showing and was impressed on how it blended and covered that pimple. i ended up using it on all the little problem areas.and once i forgot my powder when i was out and had a shiny and T zone and redness around my nose, decided to try it, again over my foundation,just around the problem areas. blended in good and left the shinyness matte.

will buy the full size for when i dont wanna apply the whole foundation- powder thing on my face.

I fell in love with Benefit because of their packaging but I am quickly falling out of love. It is way too expensive for the quality of the makeup. I found that this foundation is much too oily. In fact when I open up the compact there is a ring of oil along the plastic and on the mirror. I just can't bring myself to put it on my face after seeing that. I so wanted to like this brand, this is a dissapointing product.
