In all honesty, I don't really get what all the hype is about. I'll admit it's a pretty colour but I find that it settles into the fine lines of my lips and makes them look kind of dry. This is out of the ordinary because my lips are never without chapstick. I really wanted to like this especially after all the reviews on youtube. However, it's just OK in my opinion.
instant dewy nude lips. the perfect amt of pink. i find i dont need gloss over it.
staying power not excellent, but since its such a neutral shade, reapp is no big deal.
I adore this lipstick. I just got it recently in a swap and it may be my favorite lipstick so far. It is a very natural wearable color, very long lasting, and what I liked the most about it is how light it felt on my lips. Like I am not wearing anything. This might be weird, but I do not like to feel I am wearing something on my lips, and this is the lightest consistency I ever tried so far. Plus I was impressed how long it lasted. You should definetely try it out :)
I'm in love with 'nude delight' , a lipstick by rimmel and so I bought another one! this time in 'airy fairy' which alot of people have commented that it was a good buy. First impression was mmmmm... very girly, dolly, barbie kind of lips! its very easy to wear, kinda cool toned pale pink-. But I think it will suit people with paler skin tones-. On me, the colour comes out quiet pinky- maybe because my lips are quiet pigmented. The only drawback is,,, its very drying on the lips- but I didn't get this effect with nude delight~.. so I guess the formula is different. I do prefer 'nude delight' because its just SOO prefect- but I like this one too! I'll wear both!
No, I do not want to look like Malibu Barbie! What was I thinking?! I picked this up hoping for a nice nude with a hint of pink. But, it just looks fake (seriously, Malibu Barbie, as mentioned by a few previous reviewers). And it is terribly drying - if I leave this on for any length of time, my lips actually burn! And begin to chap and flake - not cool. No more Rimmel lippies for me.
I think it would look much better on someone with cool-toned skin. I liked the consistency a lot, and the smell was better than most lipsticks...but it just wasn't a good shade for me. I might use it occasionally though.
If possible, I would give this product a 4.5 but I chose to round up.
Airy Fairy was my go-to everyday feeling-uninspired lipstick for a long time, and I still reach for it quite often. It's a lovely subdued, soft mauvey pink that I imagine would be flattering on a lot of people and would complement a lot of looks. It can be played up with a pink or purple gloss or played down with a creamy nude gloss. It's lovely either way.
In general, Rimmel lipsticks are my favourite drugstore lipstick formula. They have impressive pigmentation, are decently long lasting and are not drying at all. The downside is the strong scent, which can be a turn off. I have a love-hate relationship with the cinnamon-y smell (like Red Hot candies) but can now tolerate it.
This product loses points for the strong scent and cheap plastic casing.
For reference, I am NC25 and neutral leaning toward warm.
i love this lipstick thanks to my sister for picking it out while lounging in the target make up aisle i love the color slightly a pinkish purple color but fine for my pale skin it looks natural and its long lasting i would for sure be buying this again
I bought this based on the reviews. For some reason, the good lippie reviews never seem to look good on me and this is no exception. One reviewer said it well, if you want to look like Malibu Barbie this is the color. I am as medium as they come, and this did not look good on me at all. I looked like the neighbor on "Something about Mary". You know, the one who is super tan and wears the really light lipstick. Anyway, the scent and the wearability were fine. Not the best, but not the worst either. I may check out some of the other colors in this line, however.
I'm loving this lipstick right now! I like the color, it's a mauvy-pinkish hue with tiny gold sparkles that gives good payoff on the lips. It's more on the natural nude side of colors so it's going to be appropriate for daytime make up but also to complement a pair of really smokey or dramatic eyes in the evening. It doesn't dry the lips at all, on the contrary, it's really moisturising. It has a great fruity scent to it and it will last a decent amount of time on your lips!
