big huge brush like benefit's badgal plus the convenience of waterproof. i'm usually a shiseido girl but i bought it because i read about it in magazines. good alone or very dramatic with shiseido makeup base. doesn't flake and i never get "raccoon eyes" with any mascara, this one was no different, i think it was $26 not worth the price because it dries out so you can't really use the entire tube and once i cleaned the wand and the top of the tube because so much buildup was there i felt like it was a waste! but other then that if you have the money.. go for it
Absofreakinglutely amazing. I'm a drugstore-mascara kind of girl and this was my first foray into Dior, but I have to say I'm blown away. NO clumps, PERFECTLY LUSH volume and length, easily buildable for multiple coats, even with its enormous, chubby caterpillar of a brush. It did smear on me slightly but I blame having to walk eight blocks in the infamous D.C. heat and humidity cocktail of death. Will repurchase without hesitation.

Everything I said in my review for the original Diorshow still applies - I love it! I was really scared to wear waterproof since I've always hated how hard they feel & their flakiness, but I had no problems at all with this. In fact, I kept forgetting that I was wearing WP! Love this stuff - dramatic, lush lashes - and no clumping if you just wiggle the brush a bit when applying. And very wearable for daytime with just 1-2 coats.
First, I wonder... how come people don't like mascara?????? I really can't understand. I have extremely short lashes, my Asian lashes pointing downward and nothing in the world helps. But this mascara is so GREAT. I have tried every single mascaras from Lancome, Shiseido, Lauder, Shu, Anna Sui etc. But all smudges and I don't see results except using this mascara. I keep recommending people to try this.
This is just ok but not worth the price. Its kind of clumpy and I need about 3 or 4 coats to get the fullness I want. The worst part is the wand. Its way too big and can't get to the little lashes on the corners. It also makes it impossible for me to apply without getting it on my eyelids. I tried it and am going back to Lancome's Hypnose.
A waste of money in my opinion. I had to try it and thought well...maybe...sadly it was as diappointing as Diorshow. It sill smudged and it still clumped and I still hate the brush. Diorshow reugular irritated my eyes, this didn't. But it still smudged and gave my lashes that *look i have tons of mascara on* look. YSL Faux Cils thickens without the Diorsgow smudges and horrible brush. Even better for length is Shu's new Fiber Xtension. The best I have tried in years for my lashes.
It's Just okay. I thought I was paying for the Rolls Royce of mascaras but what I got was nothing more than your average Toyota. It lengthens well, but as far as volume it is lame. It does not hold a curl very well either. My lashed began to droop within hours. I was sold a dream...returning to Sephora to try Shiseido.
I bought Dior Show Waterproof Mascara last night in Chestnut. I tried it today and just came home from the pool looking like a racoon. This mascara is definitely not waterproof.
I'm very glad that Dior has FINALLY come out with Diorshow waterproof! The similarities between this and the original: they're both in the same packaging, and the brush is the same: gigantic! Differences: the original had a much dryer texture, thus, its more prone to flaking. The waterproof version is actually quite "fluid" like and it practically never flakes. However, the original is actually much more dramatic which is quite a shame. This one is natural for a mascara which is meant to be used on the runaway show. Nevertheless, its still more dramatic then other mascaras, such as maximeyes. Most importantly, this new version is virtually clump free and it holds a curl on my asian lashes beautifully. The formula is more thickening though. It comes off easily with a oil based eye make up remover.
I love this but its probably something I wouldn't wear everyday because its heavier then I'm use to. This would be something I'd use when I'm going out at night. This is also very easy to layer because the formula is smooth smooth smooth! This doesn't bother my sensitive eyes either which is very important. I will repurchase the $32 before taxes price tag and I'd recommend this to those who were disappointed by the original Diorshow! Thumbs up, Dior! continued >>
Alright, headed to Sephora prepared to buy Shu's basic waterproof but they didn't carry it =( Asked for a recommendation for a very knowledgeable SA (surprisingly!) and she headed straight over to Dior. She said the diorshow waterproof sells like hotcakes and for a reason! She checked in the drawer down below for me, and low and behold, one last tube. This stuff works amazingly, is truly waterproof and doesn't smudge @ all (even applied on my lower lashes and spent the day crying and dabbing @ my eyes constantly). I did find it a tad bit dry though but I didn't really find that too big a problem @ all. Did a great job of lengthening. UPDATE: It annoys me that this clumps too easily, taking off a lippie. The effect is great but it's a hassle having to run the lash comb through. Instead I'm now using/preferring my Shu Basic mascara. I can build that one up for a dramatic look too, plus it's waterproof, doesn't smudge, and separates and coats each lash. No need for a lash comb anymore. =)
