Ruby Woo is all about the colour. Its a deep shade of red...not maroon.......red, and its kind of vibrant even after being deep! wow! have had tons of compliments with this, it makes a statement, its dramatic! It has a dry texture, but no so dry that it's buggin'. Infact its advantagous, cos it doesnt fade off or even form the gooey saliva thing on the edge of your lips (which happens with MAC lustre syrup). It will stay perfect for the whole day! Def recommended!
Gorgeous color! Yes, it's matte, so I put balm underneath and then MAC Prep + Prime Lip and it's fine. I wore this and got so many compliments on my "vintage" look.
A very vintage matte true red, i personally like it but its very drying but its like clay almost crumbly texture!
I wear this for dance performances only. Its a very matte lipstick. Incredibly drying. But the color is beautiful. I dont think I'll be buying this again (because I probably wont ever run out of it). If I had known it was this matte I probably would have gotten a different lipstick, maybe Russian Red or Lady Bug
Ruby Woo is a really pretty red lipstick, but I have to say, I was quite disappointed with it because it's so dry. I have Russian Red, which is also a matte, however it's not nearly as dry as Ruby Woo. Perhaps it's because it's retro matte, I don't know.
It's so dry it makes it hard to apply on the lips.
My skin only looks good with Nude coloured lipsticks, and this I thought I'd try out but It was extremely drying but the colour is really pretty.
Yes, its drying. The boards have beaten that point to the death. It is the soul survivor of the retro matte generation of MAC lipsticks. i generally use a balm let it set for a few minutes and it takes the edge off. Great bright red color.
Its MAC so its long lasting. The color is nice, too.
However... I find the color orange-y. It also looks kind of trashy unless you have a certain skin tone... Disappointed with this one.
AMAZING. universally flattering. it even looks good on robert smith.
it's a keeper.
I absolutely adore the colour. It's not too orange, not too blue... Just perfect. A gorgeous pin up red. The only problem is how drying it is. It makes it really hard to apply, but as long as you line your lips properly and apply it with a lip brush, it looks absolutely gorgeous. Stays on forever too!
EDIT: Removed an extra lippy for the dryness. It makes it pretty hard to work with. I doubt I'd buy this again. There are heaps of other beautiful colours from different brands, so I don't see the need to stick to this. Plus I don't wear it very much anyway, so I think it will last me quite a while.
