This is a great product, especially when you look at the price! I got this at walmart for only 10 dollars. It gives great coverage, lasts all day and does not slip off troughout the day. I have pretty oily skin and this didn't break me out yet! I will repurchase

I can’t believe that I’ve spent countless hours and money on “higher end” brands like MAC, Prescriptives (Custom Blend), IMAN, Fashion Flair, Smashbox – when all the while I could’ve been using Revlon?? Yielding better results?? This is insane! A little background: I’m a MAC NW55, combo-skin, shiny T-zone. About a month ago, on a trip to NYC, I decided to check out the Revlon shades that are not available in Canada (of course). So I picked up the oily/combo version in Mocha and started using it that night. I think I heard Gregorian chants as I applied the foundation by stippling it on with a round sponge. The shade matched my skin to a T. It literally melted into my skin and was dry to the touch very shortly after application. It builds extremely well, which is important to me as I’m dealing with a few skin issues (hypo-pigmentation from laser procedures, breakouts). It never looks like a mask or greyish on me. I’m surprised to read comments on how thick some people find it. I find it has runny, light-med consistency but the colour is very saturated – a little goes a long way. Now, I suspect the smell that others have complained about is due to the alcohol content…I think it is the 6th ingredient.
When you wear dark foundation, preventing transfers is a full-time job. I don’t think I’ve worn a turtle neck or a white scarf in years. I’m still in shock at how transfer resistant Colorstay is! I liken it to a lip stain (vs lip gloss) in the sense that it provides rich colour and a matte, dry finish. It has been particularly hot/humid this month and this foundation truly prevents shiny forehead syndrome. I’ve also tested the foundation’s streak factor….like a dream, you actually sweat (or dew ;) through the makeup. I will certainly purchase this foundation again, especially for the warmer months when my skin needs less moisture. I’m taking away 1 star due to the strong alcohol content, which in the long run can’t be good for my mid-30s skin…as well as the horrible wide spout, non-pump packaging.

This foundation gives very good coverage, however it made me break out so bad I had to stop using it. I was really upset because I had finally found a foundation that was very close to my natural skin tone however it ended up clogging my pores and made my skin so spotty. I also find it is hard to wash off.

I've been using this product for a while now and i really do love it.
I love everything about this product apart from the design of the packaging, i find it really annoying that it's a pour bottle so i have to pour it out which wastes some product.
But other then that it's an amazing foundation which creates a flawless coverage and makes you also look flawless :)
I would really recommend it to anyone who needs high coverage.

I recently discovered that my mac studio fix foundation broke me out and bad. So no matter how much it hurt i had to stop using it about two weeks ago i decided to give the revlon colorstay foundation a try and OMG it is amazing, so amazing that my hunny gave me compliments on my skin thats how good it is. And let me say that the staying power is amazing. I live in the desert and my foundation stayed on the whole day. I have no complaints. I do have to blot during the day but its ok. Another thing is that it doesnt give you a yellow undertone like the mac foundation. As for the bottlle not having a pump i dont mind. I use makeupgeeks method and plus when i started with foundation i used bottles without a pump.

I don't know why anyone would want a full mask on there face. this foundation is horible it goes on like paint and feel just as heavy. I felt like it was suffocating my skin there is no way this is good for your face but if that's a price people want to pay for a full coverage mask then that's ur choice. personally I think that if you want full coverage then just opt for a light foundation and only use concealer where needed. I also don't want to go into how horibble the packaging is. definite waste of money since this is now trash.

This foundation is gross. It has the STRONGEST scent I've ever smelled in a foundation. It's extremely thick and hard to blend, and looks very unnatural on your skin. It looks like a mask. Also, the colors are much darker on the skin than in the bottle, and all the shades have a greenish-beige hue that looks wierd and eventually turns orange throughout the day. I do not recomend.

This foundation is OK. The lightest color is not light enough for me. It is much to pink/orange for my skin. And it feels thick on your face. This foundation always left unnatural lines along my jawline no matter how I applied it. (I'm now using Estee Lauder Double Wear in Shell and love it!) ColorStay might be better for people who have darker skin, or at least can find a decent match in Revlon's color scheme.
However, the worst part of this foundation is that it slides right off if you sweat or get oily throughout the day. I live in LA so I need foundation that can stand the heat and sweat. I'd look in the mirror by 3 pm and realize that my makeup had slid off in some parts of my face and not in others so I'd rush to my room to fully re-apply my makeup, which is annoying and expensive. I would not recommend this foundation.

I have sensitive combination type skin.
Pros:
-stays well as advertised.

Cons:
-looks heavy, not very natural (ok for spot concealing like occasional pimples)
-feels drying on cheeks

I'm looking for makeup that looks more natural, and don't want to look like I'm wearing a mask. Revlon feels and looks heavy...not only does it look like you are wearing alot of makeup (which isn't too pretty), it also makes your skin look like you have large pores. It sinks into your pores and when it starts to come off, you look like you have dots of makeup on your face :( It's hard to clean off at night too, and may clog pores.

It was my HG for a while before I realized how heavy it looked. I was looking for something that would stay well on my oily t-zone (which it did), but I don't need something with that much coverage. (Plus it dried out my cheeks). If price is not an issue I would recommend EL Double Wear which can look very sheer if applied properly. It is basically Colorstay but better (more natural looking..but also more expensive)

This was an okay foundation. The color Sand Beige matched well, but seemed to oxidize on me in 4 hours. It felt cakey even when I didn't use that much, but the coverage and finished product was flawless. I dont use this anymore because it broke me out and I could like feel like pores being clogged while wearing it. Maybelline Super Stay in Sand Beige is basically the same thing, but better for the Combination/Oily skin because it doesn't break me out as bad or oxidize AND it dries/stays matte for a really long time. You may need to set it with silica or a talc free powder if your as oily and acne-prone as me throughout the day.
