I got a tester of this product free with a magazine...i bought the mag twice and then had to buy a full size porefessional. I've got oily/spot prone skin and as a result my pores tend to be on the showy side. Using this product makes my skin feel smooth - especially around the T zone - and that's no mean feat for my skin.
I don't even normally like BeneFit products - so I was surpised with this. Nothing really stops the oil coming through on my skin, but this certainly makes it look smoother (I use Clarins Everlasting foundation over the top).
This product is like a bad ex-boyfriend who you can’t live with or without. I will forever be on the fence about this.
I love the balm-like texture and how it looks tinted but goes on translucent. However, it was not easy to blend. After using it for a month, I found some tips that help me get the best result:
- First, a well-moisturized skin is a must because this product will not hydrate or nourish your skin like some primers would.
- Follow the instruction sheet from BeneFit - lightly pat it onto your skin. Don’t try to blend it out because it will disappear into nothing and lose its “pore covering” effect.
- Put on a little first, then add on if needed. Putting it on too much at once can create a patchy surface.
You have to play with it a few times to get a hang of it. I suggest asking for a free sample from your local retailer before buying full-size. Once you figure out how to best put it on, you will love the poreless effect it creates.
For everyday use, I still use my BE Prime Time as a primer, followed by Hello Flawless powder, then use Porefessional for some spots that still need coverage.
It’s not long lasting. I get 4 – 6 hours for one application. So, you need to carry it around for touch us throughout the day.
I really love this stuff although it does nothing for oil control. It does minimize pores. My skin looks instantly better just with Porefessional by itself. Its kinda pricey but lasts a while since a little bit goes a long way!
im new to primers but I a lady at the Benefit counter tried this on me under a foundation. its light and soft and mattifies your skin. so when you initially put it on, you get a good matte/smooth coverage, specially if you have oily t-zone like me. the real test was when I wore it to work for the whole day. I found by then end of the day it did make me less oily but only by a subtle change. I began experimenting using it under diff foundations...its pretty good to use under mineral powders as it fixes your powders in place, and some foundations that are oil free, or light weight. I gave this a 3 as it doesnt work wonders. i havent come across a product that works total wonders! but i would by it again if it were in sale, as it costs too much!
This product is beige-colored and waxy. After application it has a pleasing silky feel to it. On my fair skin it leaves no color, but it completely smoothes out my face and makes my pores disappear. I don't have any excessive pores or scarring though. It also seems to fix redness a bit too. I have trouble finding foundation that doesn't oxidize, so lately I've been mixing a bit of porefessional with my oil-free moisturizer and applying with my hands. It seems to help cut down some oil on my combination skin. The bonus is that it works just as well for touch ups even when I am wearing foundation. It has no coverage on its own, but it gives me a finished effect.
I'm pretty new to the primer game and have only tried two others (too faced primed & poreless and one by bare escentuals). This is so far my favourite. It makes my skin so incredibly smooth, smells good and actually makes a difference in the size of my pores. Also I find that compared to the other two I named, this one keeps my make up from sliding a lot better. Will definitely be re buying this again and again.
As a primer this is a great product. The consistency of the cream is lovely, it is lightweight, glides on and blends in beautifully. I have large pores around my nose/cheek area and it does help to blur them, but I wouldn't say any miracles happened! Overall it made my skin look fresher and made a great base for make up.
I got this as a free gift at Ulta so I can't speak to the price of this, but I believe it is $29 on the Benefit website. You might be able to find it cheaper elsewhere. Anyway, I don't have any pore issues so I was hesitant to even use it, but I figured I could at least give it a try. I have dry skin and I like a good primer under my foundation. This is the best primer I have tried thus far, aside from Palladio (which btw, is far cheaper). I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin as it is pretty slick, but it really does make my face feel silky and helps my foundation go on better. I'm not so sure about the staying power since I don't do a whole lot when I'm wearing make up, i.e. I don't go to the gym or sweat a ton if I'm wearing make up it is out to dinner or drinks or to a job interview. I have never had much of an issue with my make up falling off anyway because my skin is so dry so it typically soaks in and actually looks flaky which this prevented.
So I guess this is an ok product but for the price I can't say that I'd run out and buy it or anything. I think if you have similar issues to mine then it would work in the same way. Oh and one last thing, it did not clog my pores or cause me a break out.
I'm not sure how I feel about this product. It comes in a squeeze tube and is thick and very soft to the touch. I don't think it really minimized my pores or anything. I probably won't buy it again.
This product was a but of a hit and miss. I have big pores and was excited to try this , it does help minimise pores a little bit but it doesn't make a significant difference. However it does smooth out the skin which is handy to apply foundation over. I do like this product but not for it's intended use , i probably wouldn't re-purchase it again
