A Holy Grail product for me. My skin, oily, acne prone, acne scarred and over 30, is remarkably better having used this product. I only need a small amount, follow it with a mild moisturizer, and when I wake up in the morning my skin is so smooth I cant stop touching it. The price is the best (inexpensive) and the results on my minor wrinkles and acne scars are great. The scars are fading and my wrinkles are not as noticeable. I will be buying this agin!

I will add to the raves here. First of all, my skin is older (over 40), dry and can be sensitive. I have a tiny bit of redness after applying this, but no sensitive reactions at all. It is not too strong for me. I feel I should do something for my getting older skin, and bought this based on the raves here. It works very well; my skin has never looked better, better tone, fewer wrinkles it seems (I use a drug store moisturizer with retinols with this). I think it is worth the price and will keep buying it. HTH!

This was terrible! It burned my skin horribly. And, their packaging is definitely lacking. I do not recommend for sensitive skin at all.

This is such a great product, I can't praise it enough. Everyone should know by now that AHA's are the only scientifically proven chemicals that can reduce signs of aging. Plus they help you get better skin tone. This product is AHA at its best. Did you know that in order for any AHA product to have exfoliation effect it has to have a PH level between 3 and 4 (www.cosmeticscop.com). Most of the products in the market do not publicize the PH level of their AHA product. That is because most of them have the wrong PH level, thus their products have no exfoliation effect. Alpha Hydrox AHA Souffle indicates that its PH level is 4 -ideal for exfoliation but won't damage skin. This stuff has a very nice consistency -very soft and airy. ou can use it sparingly, just dot on a few places on your face and distribute. A little goes a long way. I never experienced any irritation. My skin feels much softer, smoother and more even. Initial effects are more obvious. With continuous use my skin adapts to the product. Can't do without it.

I was watching Oprah about a year ago and she had Dr. Oz and another very famous doctor on. They were discussing all of the things people should be doing to be at their healthiest. Foods to eat, things to drink or vitamins to take, etc...At the end of the program, they did a section on skin care. They said that there is only one true thing we should be putting on our faces to fight aging. That was Alpha Hydroxy acid. They couldn't stress enough that all the other magic potions were junk. Expensive or cheap, they insisted nothing worked but AHA's. I couldn't afford Retin A but i remembered seeing this product in the drugstore. I bought it and haven't looked back since. Nothing makes my skin smoother, clearer or glowier than this product. I've had to go a couple days without it before and I notice a visible difference in my skin. I've had pimples my whole life and nothing has worked. Yes, this product does cause somepimples to surface when you first use it,but it gets better- at least it did for me. I was on Retin A as a teen and the same thing happened-even the cystic acne tends to surface at first. I have so many people asking me why I don't have wrinkles yet- I am 32- and I tell them to get this product. I am a believer.

This product is getting a bad rep on here because of breakouts. When you start using an AHA product, it causes the skin cells to turn over more quickly. Pimples actually start below your skin weeks before they erupt on your face, so when you accelerate the skin turnover, you see all those zits that were in the pipeline come up sooner, and all at once. Stay with this product and continue to use whatever acne care you use. Remember to use SPF too, because the sun can aggrivate acne as well. I use this at night, just around my eyes.

This product not only reduces fine lines, but I swear it makes my other moisturizers more effective. My skin looks flawless after I used this for a few months. It has no smell really and doesn't sting my skin. (I also use TCA peels and Glycolic peels.)

Also, for those trying this product for the first time, it is a good idea to work your way up to this one. Start with the 8% lotion, then 10%, then finally the 12%. You will avoid a lot of irritation this way! I'm on my third jar and will definitely buy again.

I have used this for about a week and it has really helped my skin.I am 40 and lucky me I am fighting wrinkles and blemishes.I was afraid it would be too harsh but It only stung slightly the first time I used it. I have been using it in the evening.I follow with Eucerin sensitive q-10 cream and wow is all I can say. After trying a zillion products! I think I have found the ones that actually help.

UPDATE: 1/15/08 I only use this as a treatment occasionally. I found that if I use strong AHA's on my skin too often it gets dried out and looks worse.

Two words! Cystic Acne. I am not acne prone and only get maybe 2 to 3 real pimples a year simultaneous with premenstrual. Until this product, that is. Within a week of using I was broken out something terrible with cystic acne all along the jawline, five of those and smaller but no less ugly pimples around the sides of my mouth and under the lower lip. In two weeks I had about 12 pimples with more beginning every day, sometimes two a day. It was horrible. I didn't even relate it to this product until I stopped using it and my skin cleared up again. Unfortunately those cystic acnes left discolorations. I have to add that I do not have sensitive skin and never have. I use exfoliating products and scrubs with no problem. Have never had any kind of trouble with skin preparations whatsoever.I couldn't believe it once I figured out what was causing the problem because I went from having smooth skin with minor pigment issues to horrible bumpy skin. This wasn't a case of purging because the breakouts continued along for half a month, every night. I stopped. The purging thing is BS. If this doesn't work for you, it won't work. I can understand pulling out a few preexisting areas but not totally new ones in places you never had acne in the first place. Constant cysts are not purging. Thanks to it I now have to use heavy concealer on the marks. Deserves a zero or minus one.

i wanted to like this product based on the reviews i got from makeupalley and other places. i've always had acne problems plus super hyperpigmentation/uneven skin tone so i thought this would work. my skin was almost blemish-free but needed to be toned. the first week it was fine (and i also got the stinging/itching feeling) but by the second week i was breaking out into constellations of small pimples on my forehead, around my nose and around my mouth. i gave it another week and a half because i thought it was just the initial purging stage that everybody talks about. unfortunately it wasn't going away so i stopped. only when i stopped did i notice the pimples it gave me started to go away.

This is probably the best AHA product on the market. I have been using this for about 6 months and it has worked as a very effective exfoliant/fine line diminisher. My skin looks more radiant. However, it does make you more sensitive to the sun, so be sure to wear an effective sunscreen if you wear this during the day. Only complaint I have about this product is that it seemed to give me some eczema spots of my cheeks that I never had before. I had some problems with stinging initially but my skin adjusted in a week or so. Also, if you use this product over something like a recently popped zit, yeowch!! Finally, as many other reviewers have mentioned, the packaging could use some reworking as it's not very hygenic.
