Love this eyeliner! I am so happy that I lost my MAC graphblack, it made me go out and search for something more affordable. First off, this liner in black is richer in color than anything I've used on my waterline before. Secondly, it DOES NOT fade quickly. It actually lasted on my waterline longer than anything I've used before (will update if by some freak chance that was a one time deal) the application is SO smooth. better than any dept. store brand I've used. It looks like this will be my new HG, I wish I had purchased this in emerald and plum also!
This is HG status. I hate any line that tugs my eyes, this one glides like silk!. As good as Estee, Clinique quick liner, MAC, Lancome, if you have a problem with smudging or oily eyes just run either a little eyeshadow or translucent powder over it. I always set my eyeliner because I use a heavy eye cream. Personally I have had no problems with smudging but that may be because of setting the liner. I use my Mally under eye concealer setting powder just under the bottom lashes after smudging the liner to the effect I want. It does not change the color and a translucent powder works just as well if you do not use some type of setting/ brighting powder for that area. The colors are intense, deep and beautiful. My first was the forest green which is absolutely beautiful. I had trouble finding other colors as they were flying off the shelf. I now have the plum which is more violet than purple for those who like the deep plum/ purple you may have to use your deep plum shadow to set in order to get the deeper plum color. The brown is a deep rich shade with out any red shading. I hate brown eye liner that have a red/ auburn hue. Those make me look like a tired pink eyed rabbit. Anyway the brown is a perfect rich brown, not black, not bronze, deep brown. I did not buy the gray because that is not a color I use enough to buy, I just use my gray shadow for a liner when needed. The price is very reasonable mine was 7.99 buy one get one for 50% off at Rite aid. A lot of product, the pencil is slender, easy to get under the lash line and close to the upper lash line. Sharpened without breaking and was easy to smudge for the smoky eye look. Plus if you don't like it you can return. I an waiting for more colors. I will not pay 17.00 plus again for an eyeline. Saving the extra dollars for a great foundation.
I really wanted a pencil that gave results like liquid eyeliners, and bought this one wih a lot of hope. It glides on smoothly and is very soft; the black one is also very black. The only thing is that it smudges too easily. I do not have oily eyelids at all but 1 minute after I put just a little bit on, my entire lower eyelids got smudged, and I looked like a sleepy racoon :( It is very smooth though! Anyway I will stick with BB eyeliners.
YES!! ABSOLUTELY YES!! I will continue to buy this. The "liquid
pencil" title caught my eye being that I am very near sighted and cannot use liquid liner for the life of me...tee hee. I thought what a great concept and I was right.
This pencil is amazing! It's creamy, has great staying power, and the color Brown in which I got it in is a really nice solid brown. No black brown, no red, just a nice true solid brown.
Every time I walk into any store that sells it I grab what they have in stock-I cannot live without this. I use it every single day and have already gone through two.
I also have sensitive eyes and this does not irritate them at all. It gives me a clean line and even if I get too close to the upper water line I have no stinging or itching.
My only gripe is that with it being a creamy formula it causes the pencil to get used up quickly. I find myself sharpening it more than I would like. BUT the good news is that even at 1/2 an inch stub there is still product whereas most liners stop at a certain point and all that's left is the wood of the pencil-not with this baby.
I hope that LíOreal NEVER discontinues this I donít know what I would doÖeeek!
I have this product in Brown, and it is a dupe of MAC's Molasses Pearlglide. It's a perfect deep neutral brown, which applies smoothly and evenly, and wears incredibly. It reminds me of UD's 24/7 liners as well - very creamy, easy to smudge, but sets up after a few seconds and lasts all day. The new HiP Color Chrome Eyeliners are basically the same product, in shinier and brighter shades.
I like this eyeliner for the top lid, it goes on very smoothly and precisely. Lasts all day. However, do NOT use this on the waterline if you wear contact lenses. About a minute after applying this as a tightliner and on the bottom waterline, my contacts were covered in a greasy film that I could not remove, even after repeated cleanings. I don't wear daily wear contacts, and I think these may just be ruined. Won't repurchase.
Great color and price but it smudges really badly on me. Didn't even last 2 hours!

These are just like the Makeup Forever aqua liners or the Urban Decay 24/7 pencils if not better. LíOreal HIP just came out with some metallic eyeliners as well which I assume are supposed to be comparable to the metallic shades of Urban Decayís pencil liners. Let me know if youíve tried those and what you think about them.
I found this eyeliner at Rite Aid and they were having a buy one get one free on LíOreal products so I decided to give these a go. These are new and arenít on the site yet. I got the gray and black shades. From the claims on the package, I was expecting a really smooth application with long wear. I was not let down! I was so impressed by how smooth and soft these liners are. They just glide on the skin with very minimal pressure. I waited about 30 seconds for the liner to set and tried rubbing it vigorously and it did not budge! I would label these as monolid/hooded eyelid approved! In the photo, it seems that rubbing the liner caused it to look more shinny but itís not noticeable in person. Now this doesnít mean that these are resistant towards oil, so if you have oily lids, consider investing in an eyeshadow primer for longer wear. (I recommend my favorite Too Faced Shadow Insurance or Urban Decay Primer Potion :) )
Something I donít like about this liner is that itís in a pencil form. I prefer automatic pencils as Iím too lazy to sharpen pencils, plus it can get a bit messy. But then again, the Makeup Forever and Urban Decay liners arenít automatic either, so youíre not missing out on anything. Being as this pencil is super soft, looking into a more expensive sharpener (MAC $3) may be a good idea. I canít make this claim myself, but many people have said that more expensive sharpeners, or at least ones advertised for sharpening cosmetics, are better.
With the lower price tag and the opportunity of drugstore sales, I donít want to hear about anyone having to light up their eyeliners, stick them under their armpits to warm the pencils up, or have unintentional runny smudged liner anymore! :x continued >>
Best gray liner I have ever used. The plum is nice, but I wouldn't mind a darker purple. For some reason the brown does not have the smooth consistancy of the others, seems drier, maybe I got a bad one. Hoping to pick up the bronze soon. Why no blue? Guess I will try the Hip version for the blue.
Applies like a dream and very little transfer or fading when applied as a solid line. I do find it transfers if I smudge it. Great for days where I don't have the patience for liquid liners. Probably one of the best new drugstore products this year.
Great product. Glides on quick smooth, "Intense" and precise. I would definitely repurchase. I got the black and it went on my eyelids in a cinch, literally I had to apply no pressure. For weeks, I was having the most frustrating time with my Styli-Style after a while it got hard, and the CoverGirl one I was using had hardly any pigment, and lastly, my Lineur Intense from L'Oreal was just a liquid liner that you have to be very very careful with..Can't wait to try it in other colors and to line my water line. I am so happy after trying Stila Smudgepots(lost my Stila smudge pot liner brush) and MAC Powerpoints(it just stopped working after 2 uses - defective) to find something this cheap, $8.00 at CVS (wait for buy 1 get other half off specials). Hooray for L'Oreal's new pencil, love it.
