This was a bit too purple for me. It also made me break out. I like Nars Deep Throat much better
I really enjoy the color of this blush and I use it as an eyeshadow at times too. The color when applied to my eyelids makes my hazel eyes really pop out a gorgeous green. I recommend using black eyeliner when using it as eyeshadow to help with the overall look. Makes my cheeks look like a healthy glow with the right amount of pink. My favorite BeneFit blush hands down.
I never thought I would buy a bronzer as I am very pale and rosy and hate looking 'orange'. The only bronzers I have tried before made me look like I hadn't washed my face for a week.
So I tentatively tried Dallas at the Benefit counter and was pleasantly surprised. I look healthy and glowing, probably for the first time in my life, although I only use it on my cheeks. Have experimented with it all over and it's a bit much for me.
The packaging is not an issue as I don't take it out and about - it seems to last well on the skin, and I have even used the rubbish brush.
Expensive but worth it as it will last for ages.
I decided to buy this product after seeing how good it look on a few friends of mine who use it. However being a fairly pale skinned person I would advise caution because it can end up making you look orange. Now i've got used to it, it is a fairly nice blush/bronzer, its not my favourite but I use it now and again for a change. I think I would buy it again after it runs out.
Ive recently died my hair a rich dark brown and needed something to liven up my pale skin. I usually love pink baby doll blushes, but with the darker hair I needed a more sunkissed look.
Well, look no further no Dallas powder..it is the perfect lift for any skin. At first I was using the product just on my cheeks with the brush that it comes with, but it wasnt giving the desired look and made the blush look a bit muddy and patchy. Determined not to give up, i noticed seeing a few girls on my train to work use this an overall face powder on their noses and gently on their foreheads with a big oversized brush. However, because I was so pale, I was a bit aprehensive about using such a dark powder all over. So, one afternoon I thought I would practise and the results were amazing. I bascially brushed on lightly to areas that the sun would touch my face and then added more around the cheek area. It seriously works wonders!!!! :-)
I love Dallas! I ran out recently and went to the ends of the earth to find a bronzer/blush/both that would look nearly as natural on my skin and found nothing!
Dallas looks like I've been out in the sun and have a healthy glow all year-round. I can use it all over my semi-fair skin and not look like a circus clown! Dallas is my HG.
Like most, I'm not a fan of the packaging (it gets ruined in my make up bag and sometimes I leave it home just to avoid damaging the container). It seems sort of cheap and I would love to see it in a compact. The brush isn't that great either (although I use it when I need to). Oh well. I won't remove any lippies from the review though, because the product is just so great!
I love this blush! I use it as a bronzer all over my face. I am so used to wearing it now that when I don't, I don't recognize myself, I look so pale! But it's the perfect tone for my skin (which is kind of a medium pink/yellow/olive mix and very hard to match). Gives me a nice healthy glow without sparkle, which is what bugs me about so many other bronzers. The only drawback is the packaging is not rock solid for holding it's own in a crowded makeup bag (it's a cardboard box) and the brush that comes with it stinks, but I try not to focus on that, I just admire the cute cowgirl on the box & thank my lucky stars I found this stuff!
This looks very much like NARS Sin blush -- Dallas is just slightly less gold and slightly less shimmery. I like Dallas a lot as a blush, I just wish it had more staying power.
I was looking for a darker color than what I usually have which are peachy/pinks so I got this. It's a nice strong color, yet not over the top when applied gently. I don't like the brush that is included. It's a nice color to have.
This is a really nice, natural blush that gives a subtle, sunny glow. Not sure what it will be like on my skin when it goes back to pale after the summer, but at the moment I love it as it looks natural and perks my face up!! Only downside is the crappy brush that comes with it. I use my own blush brush that is much better at applying the product! Other than that would definitley buy it again!
