I never wear lip gloss, and I have had a hard time finding lipsticks I really like. Most feel too heavy for me, and many make my lips peel or feel dry. I have found that these colored lip balms are perfect. Depending on the shades you choose, they have a great deal of color, wear very well and are extremely comfortable and moisturizing I have four different colors I use regularly, and I love them all.

What a great product! I've been looking for lip color that's subtle, natural and good for my lips and long lasting, but I figured I could never find a product that perfect. Well, I did with this product. Unlike gloss, these shimmers have long lasting color, like you'd find with a good lipstick. Unlike lipstick, however, these shimmers are actually moisturizing and good for your lips. The one thing keeping me from hiving the product a perfect rating is the packaging. You can't retract these lip shimmers, and the tube itself is very skinny and seems like it'd be prone to breaking. Other than that, a perfect product!

These are described as having "sheer color" but that is wrong. These are not sheer at all, at least not the colors I have been using lately (Raisin, and Coffee)

They definately are not as opaque as lipsticks, but they aren't exactly a tinted lip balm either. They do FEEL like a lip balm though, and they have the minty tingle of the regulare burts bees lip balms. I notice that because the color doesn't go on super opaque, I have to add a lip gloss on top to even out the color. But I am really loving the colors I have, both have alot of pigmentation and are very pretty. Though Raisin might be too bright for me. This is a good alternative for people who like the intensity of a lipstick but the feel of a lip balm.

I plan on getting more colors!

I fell in love with these after buying a four pack from CVS, and being cursed with dry everything (except my T-zone) I figured oh well I'll try it. It went on very smooth, supple looking and not greasy. Great product!

ok when I first tried this product i thought it was waxy and didnt go on smoothly at all, and then i discovered that you have to exfoliate your lips first to make sure you have a smooth base. So i took a wet tissue and rubbed off the dead skin, left my lips still moist with water THEN but on the lip shimmer..what a HUGE difference ! It seems to seal in the moisture and stays moist...and once you just swivel a little at a time.(its not retractable) you're good to go...

This goes on so smooth and it leaves color without feeling like you are wearing wax lips. It feels healthy. I've only tried the Rhubarb color so far. I like it because it is a more subtle reddish color than I've been able to find before. The tube size is perfect for easy application. I wish there were better colors.

I keep this in my purse and I find myself reaching for it over and over again. I have the Champagne color. The only thing I dislike about this gloss is the color selection. The colors are very different than what is represented by the shade of the cap and I find them to be too dark or too bright. I would love this gloss in a more neutral shade. Overall tho, it's a pretty darn good lip product and I will definitely re-purchase.

I have about every available color of Burts Bees Lip Shimmers. My favorites are Watermelon, a gorgeous soft, silvery pink and nutmeg, a warm, brownish red. Lip Shimmers give my lips a pretty wash of color and make them look more plump. I haven't found them to by drying at all and I like the minty smell others have described.

I got this in Watermelon. It is much better than the Softlips Tints that I bought several days ago, and I had to call Mentholatum to complain the dryness and unpleasant wax smell. Gladly I was granted with a replacement of the regular flavored one. Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers are more like lipsticks than lip gloss/shimmers as their colours are all pretty intense, hence I took one lippy off. I particularly love the tingle taste and mint zing, although some may not be fond of it. The colour range isn't great, but this doesn't affect it as the most delicious coloured lip balm. The only glitch of this product is the package, which is not retractable. As I learnt from the other reviewers, I now twist a bit a time to avoid the mess. Overall it is a great product that worth to try.

I got this in champagne. It's a very nice color and I like the minty flavor. It does feel a bit weird on your lips at first.
