This is crap. I can't believe people still buy this anymore. Its basically tar in a tube. No, it IS tar in a tube. The formulation of this mascara hasn't changed since its invention. But for 4.00 I guess thats what you get--tar. The only thing worse would be the Great Lash waterproof which would be tar AND paint sealant. Fabulous.
This clumps my eyelashes together so it looks like I have about 6 lashes on each eye. And it flakes, smudges, hardens, and looks like tarantula legs. The black is such a fake color it resembles ink from an exploded pen. Needless to say, I hate this stuff. It's worse than play-makeup. I can't imagine anyone using this if they're ever tried any other mascara in the world. This is the worst. My lashes are very thin and rather short, so this obviously isn't the formula for them!
I wouldnt buy this again. I mean ive heard the raves about it but i dont see anything special about it! it didnt do much to my lashes and all it did was make my lashes really black. I have really short and sparse lashes and this wasnt the mascar for me. The only good thing about this mascara is the price - it was pretty cheap.
Holy Grail. I have bought this about a million times. All my other makeup is high-end. Once in awhile I want to "treat" myself to a fancy (dior, chanel, mac, have tried them all) mascara, but I always end up feeling ripped off, because I paid 4-5x as much, and it doesn't work as well! Even my husband has told me to stick with "the pink and green" because he is tired of hearing my complain about the others.
For reference, I have very blonde, naturally long lashes, and use blackest black. Brown mascara just looks weird imo, and if you are wearing other eye m/u, you need to darken your lashes, or else end up looking like a hairless alien.
This always darkens and lengthens them perfectly. Honestly, I usually use a ton of coats, if I have time, and it doesn't clump up.
Cheap, doesn't even compare to others I have tried.
I don't understand the advertising hype about this mascara being #1, maybe because it's so cheap? It's absolutely the worst I've ever used, I honestly believe it makes my lashes shorter and thinner than to begin with:( My favorite mascara is still Lancome Hypnose. Runner-up drugstore favorite is Maybelline Full N Soft.
I don't get all the negative reviews of this. I've never had any problems with Great Lash, and after trying (and being disappointed by) many other mascaras, this is the one I always come back to! I have small, deep-set eyes with rather puny lashes, and this stuff really enhances them well. It darkens my lashes and makes them appear thicker and longer, which is all you can really ask of a mascara. I think some gals are expecting too much - no mascara is a miracle worker! But Great Lash gets the job done for me. It never flakes or smudges, and it rarely (if ever) clumps. It removes pretty easily with eye makeup remover. Cheap and great!
Tried it. Hated it. Smuged, smeared, flaked. Did not DO anything. Did not lengthen, thicken or curl. The hype is just that, hype.
Hmm, I've never had any problems with this mascara, like it doesn't flake or come off or anything. I always use Blackest Black because it is incredibly dark. I probably have 3 of them in my makeup bins at home cuz I go through them so quickly I buy a couple when they're on sale. Definitely would recommend.
I have fairly long, curly lashes but dont be jealous because they are BLONDE! And with other mascaras I have to be sooooooo careful not to look bleah... I almost want to say I look drag queen like but its not, not foxy faux lashes drag queen its more, heavy and awful and I can look really tired, and its hard to cover all the blondeness so the mascara doesnt look crappily applied, also my lashes touch my browbone and smear. But not with this! I love it!
NEVER FLAKES! Soft, glossy and black, it doesnt do anything else just colours and defines but thats all I want, I do liquid eyeliner and all I need is this. I've tried Chanel, MAC, Lancome. they are all fine in their own ways but Im just so happy to be utterly content with a mascara thats $7.50 AUD since I go through alot and can replace it whenever I like. Unlike my Chanel when I almost cried after I had to stop using it since I had a stye (like an eye coldsore heh) and would have contaminated it :(
I love the glossy, no flakes. I fear the flakes. This can smear slightly if I have overdone the eyecream, but its not a bad smear just a bit smudgy at the end of the day. The black stays really BLACK too, not greenish, greyish, blueish, brownish, just PURE BLACK! with BLACK undertones.
In my humble opinion, comparable to clinique glossy mascara although not as lengthening.
Only complaint is sometimes the brush is a bit spiky, if you hit the lashline but I learn to work around it, and I think mosty mascara brushes are like this hehehe. But the formula never itches my sensitive eyes, even if I get it in the eye.
