I am allergic to shaving and my legs get SO itchy. This stuff has saved them. It lasts all day and is the best. I used it years ago and just started again a few months ago. Now I will never stop.
This is my favorite body lotion. Very moisturizing, and helps tremendously with itchy, winter skin. I also love that it doesn't have a perceptible fragrance, because I don't like perfumed body lotion.
Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion gives my skin just the right amount of moisture without any scent or lingering greasy feeling. It is a long lasting, simple body lotion with minimal but effective ingredients.
Active Ingredients: Dimethicone (1.25%) (Skin Protectant)
Inactive Ingredients: Avena Sativa Kernel Flour (Oat), Benzyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Distearyldimonium Chloride, Glycerin, Isopropyl Palmitate, Petrolatum, Sodium Chloride, Water.
Update: although I do like this body lotion, I find that it doesn't provide enough moisture for my skin in the cooler months. I've moved on to Palmer's Skin Smoothing Body Lotion.
My grandmother uses this cream shes been using it for years one day she told me to try some so I did & i fell in love with it ever since its so thick & creamy makes my skin feel so soft & rich smells great as well.. thanks too my grandma i recommend it to everyone i know.. continued >>
I bought this after reading the positive reviews here on MUA. I recently began dealing with a small amount of eczema on my hands and feet and my regular body moisturizers (St. Ives Collagen, Jergens, Cetaphil) did nothing to alleviate it. The Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion is very readily absorbed, is completely fragrance-free* and leaves a lovely protective-silicone feeling (from the dimethicone) behind. The patches of eczema are clearing up, and I'm very pleased how hydrated my skin is staying. Very nice lotion, doesn't compete with my perfume, and is understandably an Allure Award Winner.
*If there is any fragrance to be discerned, it is the plastic from the container when the lotion is first dispensed. It is gone immediately after exposure to the air, i.e. upon application to the skin.
This has been my HG lotion for years. I like it for 2 main reasons. First, the lovely and light scent of oatmeal is so refreshing and it does not smell perfumey. I love the smell and I am addicted to it. Second, the formula is very light and non-greasy. I do not like thick creams and the Aveeno moisturizing formula is not oily at all.
I not only use this all over my body but I also use it daily on my face. I notice that it is slightly oilier on my face but I do not care to buy another separate moisturizer on my face. This keeps my skin hydrated for a long time without feeling heavy on my skin. After I apply it, it absorbs really well into my skin, without leaving a greasy film.
It is a little bit on the expensive side for a daily moisturizing cream since the Vaseline and St. Ives creams are about half the price. However, there are a lot of generic brands that copy the Aveeno lotion which are just as good in my opinion. I have tried two generic brands, the Superstore brand and the Shoppers Drug Mart brand. While the Superstore brand is closer to the original Aveeno in texture and smell, the Shoppers Drug Mart brand is my favorite because it has the best oatmeal scent of all of them.
I would definitely repurchase.

I am on my 3rd bottle of this stuff. I use it every single day after I shower and it just sinks in to my sensitive, eczema prone, dry as h** skin. My skin feels so supple and hydrated after I put this on. It isn't at all greasy nor does it have a unpleasant smell. It really is the perfect lotion for me. My skin has been so soft since I started using this daily about 4 months ago. I buy it in packs of two at Costco , which makes it really cheap.

I really cannot say enough good things about this moisturizer. It is my absolute favorite! It says it is a body moisuturizer but it is fabulous for your face too. I have super oily skin and it is still my perfered facial moisturizer. I drys quickly, but has no alcohol, so it doesn't leave your skin drier in the long-run. The pump is super practical too. My only complain would be that at the end, I wish it were easier to get every last drop out!

IF THIS LOTION WON'T HYDRATE DRY, CRACKED, IRRITATED SKIN, THEN NOTHING ELSE WILL!!! I put some on after the shower, all over my body/face...my skin feels soft days and days after applying once. Absolute must-have lotion!!

It's just now March in New England, but I started using this in February. The weather is so harsh, and closer to March it starts getting all bipolar: warm enough for tshirts one day and a blizzard warning the next, which is even worse for skin than just plain cold. My legs were in typical winter condition, scaly no matter how much lotion I used. I've tried loads, and this is by far the best one I've tried. I'm actually happy it doesn't have a scent, because I wear a light perfume that gets screwed up easily by competing lotions. Also, even compared to the all-natural, $20-per-tiny-bottle stuff, this moisturizes like no other. After four days of once-a-day use, my legs were no longer scaly or dry-looking, but entirely smooth. My skin has never been so soft, and I moisturize every single day. Because is has dimethicone, you can tell you put lotion on after it soaks in, but not in a gross way. Overall, this is fantastic and I think I've found my HG!
