I used this product as a basic moisturizer when I was younger and didn't have any problems with my skin. It does make my skin oily so I only use it at night over my acne free repairing lotion because it is really drying. But I don't use it too often so I'm not sure if it is causing more breakouts.
However, I use this product twice a day to moisturize my eye area. Since I use a medicated moisturizer, I don't want to use that on my eyes but they still need to be moisturized. It's a great base for concealer under the eye and because of the oily formula of the cream, it takes any leftover mascara and eyeliner off my eyes. So I will definately keep buying it simply for that use.
I bought this cream to try it out, figuring that even if it wasn't that great, it was cheap and I hadn't wasted a lot of money on it. I first used it overnight and even though it was a little greasy at the time of application, by the next morning my face was not too oily and my skin felt very soft. I started using it under my makeup as well because I liked how it made my skin so smooth and not flaky.
However, after a few days of wearing it I noticed a few zits and pimples had formed on my face which were not there before I started using this product. I didn't want to blame the cream so soon, but I had also reccommended it to a friend who needed a cheap moisturizer and she broke out as well.
So that is why the 3 stars. I would say if you need a super cheap, temporary moisturizer that will aid your dry, flaky skin, use this. I don't think I'll be buying this again though, I'm going to search for something oil free next time.

Ponds Dry Skin Cream is really not that bad of a product. It moisturizes extremely well, although some of you, especially those who have oily skin, may complain that it is too greasy. I find that if you wait a couple of minutes, the grease from the cream will eventually sink into your skin as moisture, which makes your skin feel nice and not look shiny. The only real problem that I have with this moisturizer is that it contains mineral oil in it. I have done a lot of research on mineral oil and feel a bit torn over it: one side claims that mineral oil is practically the root of all evil or something like that, and the other side claims that its natural just like all the other oils, and that a lot of organic cosmetic companies are spreading rumors about mineral oil in order to help their sales. Personally, I've never had any problems with this, but I've discontinued using it just to be on the safe side. The packaging and smell is cute in an old lady's way, but I've found the Garnier Nutritioniste line to be more better-suited for my skin.
Note: My friend complained that the Dry Skin Cream broke her out. She has oily skin, so those of you who have oily skin may not want to try out this one.
in my teens, this is the moisturizer i used, and it took me a year to finished it.. it really moisturized my skin but it was bit greasy especially in summer.. i think this is good for young ones who doesnt need anything but to moisturize their skin.. this is just an ordinary yet effective and dirt cheap...
It's been awhile since I'ved used this, but if I remember correctly, I didn't like it.
it wasn't very moisturizing.
My HG night moisturizer.
I have to agree that it leaves your skin a bit oily (and me having combination skin, doesn't look so great), but since I wear this at night and never out, I really don't mind it.
This does great at keeping my skin smooth and not dried out, especially after a hot shower. It also helps get rid of dry spots on my face quicker.

I have been using this product for a couple of weeks now and I am seeing great results (in terms of hydration). I use it only at night, and my skin has definitely become more moisturized. My sister has even started a habit of petting my face, since it is so soft! However, I noticed that I have a crop of new pimples on my cheeks...and I haven't changed any part of my skincare routine except for the addition of this product. I don't know if its too blame :(
I have combination skin and I was looking for a good moisturizing night cream! I love it! It doesn't feel sticky or oily on my skin. When I wash my face in the morning my skin is so soft!!
I bought this as a night cream because I have really dry skin on my cheeks and under my nose in the winter. However, I HATE THIS cream. I am fairly opened minded to products but this cream was a big disappointment. I applied it to my whole face and it left it feeling oily and sticky and I had to wash it off because my hair was sticking to my face. It also has a very strong perfume scent. I wouldn't recommend this.
At one point in my life I did use this as my regular face moisturizer because one of my girlfriends uses this as hers as well and I don't recall ever having problems with it. In fact, I still buy it once in awhile if I forget my normal face moisturizer when I'm traveling because this doesn't seem to break out my skin and it's really cheap. I don't particularly care for the baby powder smell but it's not too strong that it bothers me. It seems thick when i scoop some out but after soaking it into my skin it feels very light. I just don't use this for my face anymore because I switched over to organic creams figuring that they will be better for my delicate face and skin. I just keep these around as mediocre hand lotion and sometimes on my nose since it's creamier than my regular face lotion until I use them all up.
