This gives good volume. The wand is scary though, I feel like I'm going to poke my eyes with it every time. I sometimes get little flakes and splatters during application but other than that, this is a great mascara. Will probably repurchase.
The funny thing is, I went to Target to try out the original Lash Blast, and ended up getting Lash Blast Volume in Waterproof by accident. But honestly, it was the best mistake I ever made :)
1. Holds my curl
2. Doesn't clump no matter how many coats I put on
3. Is it strange that I actually like the brush? It 's a little big, but you don't have to go through the trouble of wiping off excess mascara.
4. Formula is not too wet/goopy
5. Doesn't flake off or smudge
6. Easy to find in my makeup bag since it's so Oompa-Loompa orange
1. I did buy it in waterproof, so removal can be difficult for some, but I use my DHC Cleansing Oil so it's no big deal.
Overall, I love this mascara and probably will repurchase when I run out.
I rate this just a step below my beloved HG Full N Soft because I always feel like I'm gonna poke myself in the eye with the wand. I also like how you can build it up without getting spidery looking.
One coat = just a coat of color, with no difference in volume or length. I do maybe 3-4 coats without looking overdone, but with nice volume and length. I was worried I wasn't gonna like this one, b/c I bought this with the Lash Blast Luxe, which was absolute crap. Pleasantly surprised! I might actually buy again.
Right now, this is my everyday mascara. I had purchased a wholesale pack of this (ha, it was a super great deal) to get really full lashes for a dinner and was originally disappointed to find that it didn't make my lashes look dramatically thicker. However, because I had three unused tubes of this stuff, I decided to use it everyday, and its a good product. Compared to some other DS mascaras, Lash Blast Volume seems to make each individual lash look a little darker. Also, you can apply two coats without it clumping or looking spiderish and it does give you a slight curl. However, it doesn't last nearly as long as others, such as Great Lash, so you will have to reapply a at least once during the day, but I suppose that's the only drawback. I think it coats better than most mascaras out there so really only one coat is needed. It also doesn't flake. Plus I love the thicker tube and brush.
Great mascara. I was lucky to get this in a double pack for around $8. It gives my lashes volume, length, and a slight curl. Curl is also important to me because I have been boycotting my eyelash curler, because IMO I loose extra eyelashes that way. I really like the bold orange packaging, very cute.
I used to love the lash blast, but now its meh. Not sure how exactly this 'new' one differs to the older orange lash blast mascara. Sure this mascara gives great volume and really darkens your lashes, however I find that it doesnt hold curls very well and it tends to clump my lashes together, so it looks like i only have 3 lashes. I then use a needle to separate them, but firstly, thats annoying and time wasting and secondly, i find that takes the length away and then it gets messy. It gives little length and I dont find it defines my lashes very well.
I got it on sale, for about AU$8 which is pretty damn cheap so im not too fussed :)
I really like this mascara. I find that I can easily layer it on without getting clumps. The end result is long, full, dark eyelashes- I actually get asked if I'm wearing false lashes when I wear this. It's about $10 with tax in Canada which is typical I guess. The downside is that its nearly impossible to get off and sometimes lashes even fall out when I'm trying to get it off. I'll have to look for a more heavy duty makeup remover for this.
this product is great!!! it's my favorite mascara by far. i always buy different mascaras when they come on sale to see if they can measure up to this one, and they never do. so i just bought a tube of this after trying out the maybelline colossal and the falsies mascaras. & honestly, lash blast volume in the very black color wins every time. it gives me great length, full coverage, lots of volume with out having to curl my eyelashes, and no clumps whatsoever. what more could you ask for?! i'm in love! :)
I will continue to buy this mascara over, and over, and over....
I went without it for a while and attempted to use up one of my many other tubes of mascara, but I had a weak moment at Target one day and bought another tube.
This stuff never lets me down. I have medium length lashes, but I love how this mascara makes them look long and full with just a single coat. When I put two coats on, it gives me a false lash look.
My one and only complaint is that the tube is chubby and the wand is hard to hold.
Best volume mascara I've ever tried. I have been on the search for a perfect volumizing mascara since about 8th grade, and this is as close as I've come so far. It's not perfect, but it's as close as you're going to come imo, especially for the price. Until now the only mascara I've loved this much is Lancome Hypnotuse, and that costs like $28 a tube. I love makeup but don't normally have the money to justify spending that much for mascara, and now I've found a substitute. It is a little on the dry/flaky side once it dries, but I've never had it flake off on my cheeks unless I rub my eyes too much. I am very sensitive to eye makeup remover, so I normally use my fingernails to remove my mascara then wash my face afterward. Compared to a lot of mascaras on the market that are moving toward the lycra/silicone formulations (ie. Maybelline's new The Falsies product) it is a lot easier to remove this way than those are. It doesn't make you feel like you're going to pull your eyelashes off when you try to remove it.
I'm not Tammy Fay Baker or anything, but I want my mascara to come close to false lashes volume. This doesn't do that, but it may be as close as you're going to come without them or without splurging for Lancome.
Only bad thing is it does apply a little on the wet side until you've used it for a couple of weeks. I actually think it's better once it dries out a little and have even left the cap on a little loose overnight once to hurry the process.
One last thing...my normal MO is to buy a new mascara, use it till it's gone even though I'm not satisfied (or just throw out and get a different brand if it's that bad) and never buy it again. This is the only mascara in the past few years that I've actually been buying non-stop for the last 6 months or so, if that tells you anything.
