this scrub doesn't do anything. the only thing i like about it is the scent. i also didn't like that it feels filmy when washed off and afterwards my skin feels extremely tight. it felt like my face would wrinkle up if i attempted to move it.
I bought both the pink grapefruit scrub and the facial cleanser. I wanted to love the scrub, but I don't. I've been using it for about a week now, and after the second time I used it, my face started to become very dry and irritated, especially around my eye area for some reason. And my skin is normally oily. I wanted to make sure it was this, so I cut it out of my routine, and sure enough, it is this. So I would not reccommend this to people with dry or sensitive skin.
I could not stand the smell of this product. Thankfully I didn't purchase this scrub, but instead received a nice sized sample. I used it a few times before I had to throw the tube away. It didn't smell like real pink grapefruit. I normally love all citrus products, but this one smelled rancid. It's too bad because I actually enjoyed using the scrub. It cleaned well and left my normal/oily skin feeling fresh. I just could not stomach the scent.
My skin became red and it started burning after I used this product! It dried out my skin as well. I would NOT recommend this product, especially for those with sensitive skin!
I had a horrendous allergic reaction to this product. Within a few hours, I had redness, itching, swelling, and scores of tiny blemishes (blisters?) all over my face, including my eyelids. I don't scrub my eyelids, so it may have simply been contact with the foam during rinsing. I even contacted Neutrogena to let them know -- this product is really scary. Be careful with it.
I'm surprised this doesn't have higher ratings! I am in loooove with this product! I use it at night and the face wash in the morning, my skin has deffinately been really clear and much less oily, which always seems to happen whenever I switch back ot Neutrogena. If I get a pimple, it's more like a small inflamed whitehead and goes away in a few days easly, I don't know why I get side tracked and always try other brands when Neutrogena seems to give the best results! The smell is amazing, the packaging and color is cute, and the biggest thing I notice is it seems to leave my skin softer, not as dry as the original cleaser and scrub do. Awesome product go try it!
I was in need of a new cleanser and got attracted by this one because its "new!" Anyway, I usually have oily skin, and I'm pretty loyal to Neutrogena - but this stuff completely dried my skin out. My skin is now flaking. My pimples are gone but flaky nonetheless. I think you're better off with something else.
This is a pretty good scrub, mostly because of the smell. It smells like an actual grapefruit, nothing artificial about it. I don't use it too often, but nothing bad has happened to my skin since trying it, so thats a good thing! I don't get zits too often, but I figured I might as well use something for prevention purposes. This scrub exfoliates well, and it's not too drying although someone with normal to dry skin would probably want to steer clear of this. It rinses clean also, no residue. I can't tell you if it does anything miraculous in healing breakouts, but I think it cleanses great and doesn't feel too harsh. And, as aforementioned, the smell is the biggest plus of this product. It will help you wake up in the morning!
The product is not as spectacular as I thought it would be. It does seem to be clearing up a few zits. It's hard to explain why I'm not completely liking it. If I can pinpoint it I willcome back and post.
I tried this product after I used the cleanser one, it's very nice as well :)
I just love it :)
I highly recommend this. I have an combination/acne prone skin and this product helped my skin alot :)
