The packaging is great and it smells nice, unfortunatly thats the only good thing for me. It did not make my foundation stay on longer then usual and it brought me out it great big sore red spots (not nice on my normally clear skin)
overpriced and not worth it
This product has adorable packaging. The primer smells great- to me it smells like lightly like pineapple and gum. It was a pricey especially when taking into consideration the amount of product you get. For that hefty price its only 11ml. It doesnt spread easily on my skin so I tend to use alot as well. My make up did stay on longer and did appear smoother. It did work a little as an illuminator and make my skin softer at the time. I noticed the benefits once i switched over to a different primer and realised.
Ok so here i go. The Best thing about this Product is the Packageing, I love the Box it comes in, and the way the Product looks like a Glue stick, and comes out like a Glue Stick, "That Gal" Primer is ment to Enhance your Skin and make it look more Glowy and give it that Shine, Well dosent do anything like that at all for me. I have had Better Primers, and Cheaper, Like "Avon - Magic X facePrimer" now that does alot for keeping my makeup lasting all day, Wich it states. But i wanted one that gave me a healthy glow wich this claimed, And dosent do like it says, i will use this as i paid enough for it, but does not do what it says on the Tin. Pretty Shame. The best thing ive found for giveing a Healthy looking glow to my Skin, was "Simple - Spf15 moisturiser" now ive used that and its all gone, but i think im going to head back to that. xox
I was very excited when I purchased this product - although it was pricey ($28!) the packaging is very cute and clever. I was really excited to use this! Honestly, though, this product isn't much more than looks. I really love the smell of this, it smells like clean laundry almost, and is very calming. But it doesn't do much for my face. I have some redness and it calms it down a bit, but nothing too significant. It doesn't really brighten my complexion much, either. When I first got this I LOOOOVED it but that was only when I used Liquid foundation, which I rarely do.
When I used this with my mineral make up & kind of rubbed off, I don't know how to explain it. Kind of like if you put too much moisturizer on and it you can literally rub your skin and the product comes off. And I used it very sparingly - I didn't put much on at all. Sorry for the poor explanation, haha. But that' what it did. It also made my make up look shiny/greasy and found that my make up looked better WITHOUT this Primer.
Intitially, I do use this everyday because I spent so much money on it and I lost my reciept. I usually really like BeneFit's products but this was a bit of a disappointment. I don't recommend this and will NOT be repurchasing. I actually prefer my drug store Primer which works MUCH better. I changed my foundation routine to MAC's Studio Fix Powder Foundation and concealer with SPF 35 and it holds up pretty well, but not very impressive. It's just better than with Sheer Cover Minerals. I don't recommend this unless you use liquid foundations on a regular basis.
was looking for a primer/color corrector - and this is not it.
no noticeable difference in color/texture or anything.
*maybe* it seems to make my foundation last a tad bit longer.... but really this product doesn't really seem to o anything other than cost 28 bucks.
Smells nice...that's about it (and some people won't even like the smell!) Claims to be a brightening face primer, I saw no brightening nor priming. Maybe you need two coats? when I did use it my face seemed redder than usual, so it does show up underneath foundation but this was not what I was looking for. Won't purchase again >.<
ok product but dont expect anything amazing. nice sheer formula, ok packaging.i find the formula too liquidy and this definatly is not a primer more an illuminator and even then its more of a glow product not a highlight. I wont be repurchasing because this is mostly useless and doesnt do what it claims- glad this was RI after all!
It smells nice, is qute comfortable to put on but it does nothing, it does not make my skin look any different, i got it for a present but I would not advise buying it if you are looking for a primer that actually does something!
Reason for the low rating: It isn't what it claims. IN NO WAY is this a primer/corrector. It won't mattify you, even out your imperfections, control oilies under your foundation, or make it look fresh all day - which, by the way, is why we choose to invest $26 in products like this.
Rimmel Fix and Correct at $5 does prime and correct. The peachy color evens out redness and uneven tones and, it makes your foundation glide on and stay put. IMO, if you don't like Rimmel you are really going to hate BeneFit That Gal.
Maybe I have really weird skin, but I didn't notice any effects on my skin. Didn't really have an impact even as a primer. Feel like there could be some better delivery system in terms of packaging.
Here's why I'm giving it a two instead of one. Didn't hurt my skin appearance-wise or health-wise. Even its pleasant scent didn't irritate my mild rosacea. And finally, do think it's a nice alternative to High Beam on cheeks for people who don't want the irridescence of High Beam.
