A nice alternative to plain black--the color shows up a dark dark plum--very elegant and just a little bit badass :)
I like this color quite a bit. Its not like your typical black. Looks great and a nice alternative to the traditional REDs that I tend to use. Its hard to describe the color but I think it was described great by someone on the Board and a plummy-black. I used my friends bottle and next time I need a bottle i'll be going for this one.
I finally got around to buying this after hearing the hype for years. Now I understand why it's loved by so many! It's the perfect vampy matte plum that would flatter any skintone. Glad I got this.
*PIC* This is a really nice colour for winter, very vampy indeed. I love dark colours this season, and this is no exception. However, it is still a little too dark for me, the dark plum undertone keeps it from looking flat out black, but i still prefer dark purple/plum, if it was just a tad bit lighter it would have been perfect for me. The quality really is great though, and i will definitely use it, i especially like it for a night on the town, but i would not repurchase for the reason above. I'll try Chanel's next, i can't remember the shade now, (i had bought it for my best pal, and it's a gorgeous dark plum, so i'll try that next). Retails here for 13.40 euros/$19US) (worn in pic with 2 coats)
UPDATE: whoa, i just saw this retails for 2.74 euros on 8ty8beauty.com (and only 9.00 euros shipping for us european ladies, so will be buying from there now on for sure as it will definitely be worth it to stock up on a few!)

Awesome polish, I don't have to tell you :)
Color is great, very rich and a nice alternative to plain old black. I personally could never pull colors off that are that dark which is the ONLY reason I said I wouldn't purchase again. Expensive too...Very pretty color though.
Vamp perfection. Gorgeousness and then some. Better than any black or other vamp out there. Plummy-black. It's ... perfect. HG for me. C3 here.

I reach for LPAD when I'm bored of Black Onyx or can't decide which polish to use. It's a sophisticated black-purple in a cream finish. From a distance, unfortunately, the beautiful purple tone can't be captured so it simply looks black but if you are a polish purist and appreciate these subtle differences, buy this. When I went shopping this week, a sales assistant at a cosmetics counter even commented on how beautiful the colour was.
I have to use 2-3 coats as 1 coat is just too streaky. Wears as long as my other OPI polishes (almost a week) unless I use a bad base coat. The polish isn't gloopy like my Black Onyx either.

This is for SHORT fingernails only, unfortunately. My fingernails were getting too long to wear black polish on them so I bought this excitedly because it borderlined black but was supposed to be a DARK PURPLE. Well it is black to the naked eye and everyone I ask sais it is basically black too. So to make a long story short I wear this on my toes and it is gorgeous on them. Dark, creamy, SHINY with no topcoat!

Ultra deep aubergine that borders on black. Creamy and opaque. Dries to a shine finish. I apply 3 coats because I like that heavy varnished look on nails. The 1st coat goes on sheer and streaky - don't despair, it gets better with the 2nd and 3rd coats. This does wear off on me at the tips by the 2nd day; not actual chipping, but slight wearing away. I find it helps to use a top coat and on the 4th day re-apply a fresh coat of polish over the already polished nails and of course some top coat again. I won't go for this again because it's just too close to black.
