I was at wal-mart the other day and I found this on sale for $3.76 so I decided to try it. This product was awful. I sprayed it in my hair and it turned it whitish-grey. I tried rubbing it in, but no luck, still greyish looking. I have dark hair so its noticable. It did suck up a bit of oil but all i could notice was the grey color spots...and i noticed later in the day that the area where i used this product was slightly stiff. It didnt really bother me though. The scent smells like finesse hairspray...not very citrusy if you ask me but the scent does linger on your hair for most of the day. If you have lighter hair, i think this product COULD be good for you. For the dark hairs, stay away from this product.
HORRIBLE, this product did none of what it claims to do, All it did was leave a white powder in my hair that made it look gray even after brushing and brushing the product through, USELESS.
I'm surprised at all the negative reviews on this. Am I using the same stuff as everyone else? I have jet black har and yes, its initially leaves a white residue in your hair but it immedietly disappears after you brush it out. it absorbs any greasiness and leaves hair fuller n fluffier. The smell is amazing! My boyfriend wouldn't stop secretly trying to sniff my hair! Its cheap and saves you from from shampooing an extra day, maybe 2 max. I would buy again, even if just for the scent.
The only way to make this product work as a dry shampoo is to spray it on your roots LIGHTLY before bedtime. In the morning you can brush it out and have fluffier looking hair. Not clean looking though.
..I really disagree with claims to be able to let this dry for 2 minutes and then can brush out to shiny?, clean? hair?.....no way, this spray and shiny and clean? must be using a different formulation than I have cause it's more like dusty and sticky, think hairspray with cornstarch in it, too much and it's a sticky, gunky knot-fest.
I can't and don't use this for it's intended purpose, spray shampoo. However, if you are doing an updo (beehive, chignon or bouffant) this, sprayed and dried on the underside of your hair will giving amazing holding power and volume to your style(think less teasing to get height). Not really something I'm doing everyday so this is in the back of my cabinet prolly til next Halloween or rock show.....lol
Only pro is it's cheap and easily available.
I bought this when I was in a pinch and still use it when I just HAVE to get rid of greasy bangs, but I really dislike it. The smell is awful, it leaves your hair white, even after you brush some of it out, and it makes my hair feel "icky," chalky and just... gross.
Will definitely not be re-purchasing.
Ok the only thing i'm going to give it credit for is it did indeed get the oily out of my hair, but it didn't feel clean, soft, it didn't look nice either. I usually wash every other day but sometimes my hair just gets too oily, thought i'd give this a try for those days but NO WAY. After I used it I felt even more like I needed to wash my hair to get this stuff out. Gross, and i'm never using it again. I'm just glad it was so cheap!
really hated this product. used it and threw it away.
it turned my hair white (even after trying to brush it out for almost an hour) and it made my clean hair look and feel oily and dirty. I took some advice and sprayed a small ammount of it on my hands and worked it through instead of applying directly and it still had the same horrible results. it may be cheap, but its not worth your money.
*NOTE: I tried the mousse version of this product and found it MUCH better. no white powder, no dirty feel, and a just-washed look, feel, and smell. also gives good volume.
Really dislike this product. Left my hair whitish, dry, and unhealthy looking. Kind of reminds me of my grandmother's hair.
this was the biggest waste of money i have ever encountered. i bought it because i thought it would be a good investment so i could work out daily without looking like a greaseball.... this junk make my hair stringy and made it feel even more oily.. it was awful... it smelled like bad hairspray and does not make my hair fresh and clean..i had to wash my hair 3x to get this crap out and even then it did not feel totally clean!!! i will not repurchase and would not donate it to my worst enemy
Yeah....this stuff is pretty horrible. During the summer CVS was selling these 2 for $7 so I decided to try them out since they were new. Talk about grayish-white hair lol! Even if you spray the lightest amount so many inches away, as directed, the result is still white on my brown hair. Truly odd and gross really. I can't stand the citrus smell either. These have been sitting in my bathroom drawer unused ever since
