I always wanted to apply liner to my top eyelid but just didn't know how without making a complete mess. I picked up this eyeliner pen by browsing the makeup section in my local Target. I took it home and tried it and was blown away by my perfect line. My hands are not sturdy enough for the regular liquid liners but this pen is my makeup essential sent from the Makeup Fairy. Ask me about the smell and I wouldn't be able to tell you because I don't need to know what it smells like, I just need to know what this product can do. I would purchase over and over. I wish that Target sold this product in blue but it only sells them in black and brown. I literally by 10 at a time just in case.

I absolutely love this product! I admit, it isn't very waterproof, but don't let that discourage you! It stays on without smudging alllll day in hot and humid weather. You cannot beat the price, and the quality is great. I have black and plum and the pigmentation is very good and I have been using them a few times a week for a couple months and they still work great. I like putting this on my lower lash line and smudging it a bit before it dries, instead of using my regular pencil liner. I will repurchase and I recommend it to everyone!

Note: Do not shake this product. I mindlessly shook the black one with the cap on before using it and a bunch of 'ink' spilled into my sink when I pulled the cap off. No need to shake anyway! Just store it tip down or on a horizontal surface.

EDIT: Dried out after a few months. Removed 2 lippies.

EDIT: Every subsequent liner pen I have purchased from e.l.f. has dried out after only a couple uses. I guess I got lucky the first time. I will not be repurchasing.

I actually love these things, but they don't last long. Like a previous reviewer, I had the cap come off in my purse one night. Application-wise. these do tend to last on me through most of the day when I wear them (I've used both coffee and black), which is primarily when I'm stressed for time and don't have the time to apply my normal gel liners. The first few applications, this product is great. Afterwards, it goes downhill quickly. Even though they tend to dry out quickly, I'd still repurchase because for $1, these things are great in a pinch.

A great product for a buck. I don't often use eyeliner, I guess I gave up long ago because of smudging. The Target I shop at finally got E.L.F., I just happened to walk by and thought "why not". I bought it in coffee. It is a very dark brown, I actually would prefer a lighter brown. It appears almost black on my eyes, which I don't really care for. But I was amazed that after a long day in hot, humid weather, much of which was spent outside, this eyeliner had not moved. You can achieve a thick or thin line with this. Amazing product for a tiny price.

I like that the cap snaps tight so it doesn't dry out or leak. I bought it in black and the color is great as is the applicator. I knocked off 1 lippie only from the standpoint is that it dries suuuuper fast on me (over TFSI for ref) and I don't have time to smudge it to soften the effect. It is waterproof, so it stays through pool time and rain which is great. It also doesn't burn the crap out of my eyes like some liquid liners do.

This is probably one of the best $1 I've spent.

This is some pretty decent eyeliner. The pen goes on nice and dark (I got black).
I doubt its waterproof properties though because it smudges on my lower eyes a while after I apply it but if I apply it over UDPP, it doesn't smudge.

The only problem is the cap. I kept it in my makeup bag to have an eyeliner on the go and when I went to go use it, I noticed the cap was off and my eyeliner was completely dried out. I had no idea how long it's been that way but no makeup product's cap has ever come off in my makeup bag before so maybe their caps aren't really secure.

Then again it was only $1. Definitely will go back to Target to get another one.

E.L.F products are always either a hit or a miss, and unfortunately I have to say that their waterproof liquid eyeliner pens are a miss for me. I got it in black and plum. The plum was completely dried out the day I got them. I'm talking about zero colour coming out. The black was much better though. The colour payoff is decent and it is waterproof, which is a plus. I often have a tendency of rubbing my eyes a lot, so it's great that it stays in place all day. But I really don't like that it tugs on my eyelids. It doesn't go on as smoothly as I was hoping it would. Applying this can be quite uncomfortable! I think I'm going to stick with my L'oreal liquid eyeliner.

I love this eyeliner and even more because of the price. It isn't completely waterproof but it does last all day and comes off easy with makeup remover. I of course have every color of this stuff, Love it!
