This is the greatest hair product that I've ever invested in! Not only does it cut down on the time I have to blowdry my hair to about 10 minutes, it also leaves it smelling amazing and feeling the softest ever. I have used many products that seemed to guarantee the same results, but this product definitely lives up to what its supposed to do. I've had it since September, and I still have almost a full bottle. You don't need much to get satisfying results. I also use it to sometimes touch up my hair after a few days if I still have my hair straightened.
I bought this after reading the raving reviews here but I must admit I was very disappointed. First of all by the composition (which admittedly I should have searched beforehand) - this is not an oil, it's silicone and synthetic fragrance with a bit of oil. Out of the 12 ingredients, the first three are silicons, the fourth is a synthetic fragrance and only the fifth ingredient is aragan oil. There is also linseed extract. And the rest is "frangrance supplement", yellow colour, red colour, synthetic fragrance, and more synthetic fragrance.
I thought I should give it a try anyway even though I have been avoiding silicons in any hair product for more than a year, so I used it in two ways (my hair is fine, dry, coloured and I blow-dry it once a week). So, I put some product (about 4-5 of its bottle cups) and left it overnight before shampooing in the morning (hoping that the oil would act as a pre-shampoo conditioner). And then I put some before going to the hairdresser's for my usual blow-dry.
I did not see any noticeable difference in shine, texture or smoothness. Certainly not anything I was not getting with any other silicone-based serum. I will try it a couple more times to double check (after all it was very expensive!) but I am afraid I will not have a change of heart.
The smell is nice (although not my favourite) and the texture is rich and absorbed easily but otherwise a big disappointment considering its price.
I had been hearing great reviews of this product for awhile before I tried it myself. I was skeptical because I have fine, silky hair and was worried it might weigh it down or make it look greasy. I was so pleasantly surprised to see how nice and shiny my hair appeared and also how silky and healthy it felt. I have been using it for over two weeks now and am IN LOVE. This product is my HG! My mom is hooked on it as well!!!
I'm shocked at the reviews for this product-it did nothing for my hair, made it harder to dry and left it looking frizzy and fried. My hair is in very good condition and I could blowdry my hair in my sleep. I've tried more products than I like to admit to myself-I'm a product junkie that way so you can't say it's because I don't have much to compare it to. I'm holding onto my nightmare glass jar in case it is useful in summer humidity, but it's doubtful. Don't think you are using an all natural treatment (I know the ladies on this site are very savvy but I read a review implying the author thought it was a cone-free product)-it's full of cones.
I love this product.
I love how it softens my hair and makes it shiny and I think it smells wonderfully.
I dont like that it comes in a glass bottle- I have had a few leak just a bit during shipping, but other than that- I can't say enough about it.
I have very think hair, fine strands, just past my shoulders with short heavy layers. I use about a nickel size when my hair is wet, making extra sure to get all the ends (because of all the layers). I use another leave in as well and a shine spray. Since my hair is SO thick, sometimes it will start to look a bit dry towards the end of the day (usually the day of and the day after I wash with shampoo) and when that happens I just use a very small amount, rub my hands together and just run them over and through my hair....and it looks great.
This is a HG product for me. I hope I will never have to be without it.
Bought it, used it regularly for a while, stopped using it to try newer products (Fekkai Glossing, Kerastage Nuit), and now return to it from time to time. Smells good, smooths out hair frizz and fly-aways, calms scalp. A tad on the heavy side for me, as I prefer my hair treatments weightless. Still, I may repurchase.
Even though I had read the reviews I was skeptical, but I found it on sale so I decided to give it a try. I have 3c/4a hair & although I do oil treatments weekly I hate putting oil in my hair when styling. I used about a nickels size before drying my hair & although my hair normally behaves pretty well & this made it even better. I have much more sheen and my hair is a lot softer without being even slightly oily & being oily is what I was afraid of. Great product!
All I can say is WOW!!!!! This stuff is amazing. Every review on here pretty much says it all. Go out and buy this stuff right now!!! You won't be disappointed.
OMG!! i'm a hairstylist and in my salon no1 even uses serum or silicone products anymore! this is the only heat protectant we use on our clients and its been flying off the shelves! i think every1 should buy this. its a little pricey but IT IS SOOOO WORTH IT! it has tons and tons of vitamins e and f, heat protectant, and if your hair is dyed or chemically treated it protects your hair from UV rays to keep it from fading.. and its great for your skin if you pour a little 2 much. and it smells pretty good. buy it! BUY IT!
This is definitely a HG product if you have curly, frizzy, kinky hair. I'm multi-racial and my hair is a waist-length Polynesian 'fro... managing it is NO joke. About a quarter size amount of this product and the comb/pick slides through with little to no hair breakage. My only complaint is that there are some petroleum-based ingredients in this and I really want to stay as green/natural as possible with my products. Marrakesh Oil is great substitute for Moroccan Oil (although it's unfortunately not much cheaper) and has more natural ingredients.
