This is a perfectly fine product, and well worth its price as it's often on sale in large quantities.
I used it along with the deep treatment from the same line and it did a good job, although I couldn't see any miracles.
I didn't find it as repairing or moisturising as a very overprocessed and dry hair as my own, would need.
I could easily buy it again though, but this time I would get the matching conditioner to go after the deep treatment, and maybe I would have a better result - I normally buy all the products in one serie to bring out all the promised qualities.

product okay, conditioner was is a tub which is a bit of a pain. When I washed my hair it felt amazing & my hair is silky smooth. I always washed my hair in the morning because by the next morning my hair would be oily, & greasy & dirty looking. This has never happened with any other shampoo only this one . $68.00 for a 500 mLs shampoo & condtioner which is expensive considering its crap . Its good for damaged hair though as it doesnt bubble, the bubbles strip away the layers in the hair. It smells nice but im still not at all impressed by it continued >>

These are my thoughts both on first application and after a few months use.

It smells nice, great packaging (if you can get the pump pack ). I have to wash my hair 2 sometimes 3 times to really get that clean feeling - it doesn't wash out well the first go because it's a very creamy consistency and hard to lather. Second go it lathers reasonably well. It is hard to get the usage right - I have a lot of hair that really soaks everything up - this didn't sink in first time.

This product really is heavily dependent on hairtype - someone with fine hair would be able to use only a couple of pumps each go and it would moisturise and keep for ages - I need like 6 pumps each time to cover everything even when I spend time lathering it up (waist length hair) but it really weighs my hair down if I use this much. The strange thing is, that even when I wash it out properly when my hair dries (usually always naturally) it feels like there is a little product buildup - like I used too much. But I've tried using 2 or 3 pumps and it doesn't get all my hair so the ends stay dry. I need to find the balance somewhere and I suspect everyone would need to give it a few goes to find how this product best works on them. It is expensive for what it is, it's almost like a high maintenance shampoo in the sense that you have to tailor its usage to your needs.

Basically, I have tried a lot of l'oreals professional range, and I found vitamino to be a bigger difference first go for me and far more detangling and it left my hair softer afterwards. For someone with straw hair - go for it. I can tell it would work miracles, but if your hair is simply just dry and in need of just a little TLC - trial a small bottle first. Anyone with thick hair needs to be careful with this or you might end up using too much and needing to wash it out again.
UPDATE - After constant use my highlights started fading quickly, after I switched shampoos it stopped! My hair 'got used to' this shampoo, and it stopped being repairing for me. I dropped it and won't be purchasing it again... if it was cheaper I might have tried it again one day.. but not for what they charge!

Love, love, love this shampoo and will buy again and again. I have incredibly dry, damaged hair thanks to my blonde highlights. This shampoo adds moisture without making my hair greasy after one day like many shampoos do. Plus it smells divine. Highly recommend!

This stuff is AMAZING for very damaged hair. I tried the Intense Repair and was underwhelmed...not only did it not moisturize enough, but it faded my color. I was a Kerastase Bain Satin 3 girl before this, but that shampoo always left me a little dry- even after conditioner. Absolut Repair is fantastic. It's the best smelling shampoo I've ever found, with a mild lather that doesn't fade my color. This turns straw into silk :) Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Amodimethicone, Distearyl Ether, Sodium Chloride, Behenyl Alcohol, Laureth 2, PPG 5 Ceteth 20, Sodium Benzoate, Polyquaternium 6, Carbomer, Sodium Methylparaben, Salicylic Acid, Methylparaben, Trideceth 6, Cocamide MIPA, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Hexylcinnamal, Cetrimonium Chloride, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben, Limonene, 2 Oleamido 1, 3 Octadecanediol, FD&C Yellow 5 (CI 19140), FD&C Yellow 6 (CI 15985), Perfume (Fragrance)

I have finally found a shampoo that works for my hair! I have really badly damaged hair - I'm a natural brunnette and have highlights done every 6 weeks. I also blowdry and straighten my hair every other day so it was in really bad condition - so dry, splitting and impossible to get shiny. I just started using this with the conditioner becasue it was recommended to me by my stylist and I dont know whether it's the conditioner or the shampoo but it it has already made such a big difference to my hair - it's soft and doesnt look half as frazzled as it did. I;ve also stopped straighteing my hair which has probably made a difference but if your hair is chemically damaged this shampoo and the conditioner really are fab. Only down point is smell - its not fruity like the Loreal colour one but is pretty non descript.

This is a fantastic shampoo.. I have been looking for a shampoo that can both moisturize and thoroughly cleanse my hair. This does a great job of cleansing and detangling, plus it leaves my hair feeling like silk. My only complaint is the price (expensive) and it is hard to find.. but it's worth it!

My hairdresser swears by this product, but I wasn't quite as impressed as I expected to be. It has a pleasant scent and makes my hair feel smooth, but I really don't like the fact that it barely lathers. I always have to add a squirt of my Tigi to it so I get the lather I feel like I need for a good wash. I don't feel like the product warrants the price so I probably wouldn't buy it again.

Not a fan.

Pros: Nice light scent.

Cons: Creamy consistency that's hard to work up into a lather. Does not detangle as well as I would like. And surprising left my hair a little dry even though the texture seems rich.

I've used the masque which is really rich and heavy. It would probably work well on dry curly hair that needs to be weighed down a bit. I only use it on my ends. I think I prefer the intense repair line as opposed to absoult repair which i find too heavy.

Not that great a product for the $20 price tag

I brought the big bottle. I love L'oreal Professionnel shampoo. It's doesn't dry up my hair but condition it.
