Have never been a fan of MAC make-up but I love their brushes so I decided to give this blush a try and I am glad I did.

It rivals my beloved Armani Sheer Blush #2 for colour and texture and a bonus is that it is half the price of the Armani product.

I agree with other reviewers' assessment of the color in that this did not show up as "dirty peach" on my very light, yellow-undertoned skin. I found this blush to be a dusky pink with a nice glowy finish. It is nicely pigmented, and I was surprised at how easily it could become muddy looking on my pale skin. But used with a light hand and some care the effect is very nice. I wore this on a day that I went for a haircut and so I had a chance to look at myself in the mirror a lot more than usual. I really liked the way the blush brightened my face and gave my cheeks a pretty glow without looking shimmery, shiny, or over-the-top. And I find the color somewhat unique - there is a hint of a plummy or mauve undertone, very subtle, but enough to distinguish Blooming from many of the other pinks out there.

Not much left to say after the previous reviewer (not that I won't try). I love Dame too, but something about this glow that Blooming gives you.... . I just purchased it and I'm trying to get ahold of True Romantic, which was also LE and recently discontinued.
I, like another reviewer, never would've given something described as "dirty peach" a chance. But, it's not peach - it's pink. The "frost" also got to me, but it should say "glow". This is what Bobbi Brown's Shimmer bricks should go for. Blooming's refined particles make you look healthy and not like a disco ball.
I'm NW20, for reference.
*** Edit *** I'm not loving this. It comes out a little too light and a little too dirty. I don't know why I don't like it on my skin. It blends well and has a nice glow, but I'm knocking off one lippie.

Product Description:

Colour for the cheeks and face. Various formulas. Different looks.

Actual Product Pic:

My $0.02:

Pigmentation & Color (Plus Swatches! :D):

This color is described as a Frosty Deep Dirty Peach on the website. It appears to be more plummy than peachy in the pan, but once swatched it is indeed peachy! I'm a little wary of frost blushes because they have the tendency to make my face look oily and yucky. The frost aspect for this one, however, is pretty subtle and it does keep it from looking too flat. It's very very natural on my NC20-25 asian skin (even the hubs commented so!)! It is sheer, but definitely buildable!

Swatch from the Mac Website:

Actual Color:

Packaging:

This blush comes in the regular MAC flip-top pot without a mirror (which is alright for me as i never bring my blushes out... a klutz like me is sure to destroy them!!).

Texture:
MAC's frost blushes have one of the best textures IMHO... this is no exception. It spreads on smoothly!

Time Test:
This blush can last about 7 hours on my face, provided i don't sweat and am comfortably in an air-conditioned room! :)

Price & Availability:
This product is priced at RM70 / US$18, which is the same as the regular blushes. This is LE though, so grab one while you can! Available at all MAC counters / Pro Stores / Maccosmetics.com

Usage:
This soft pink blush is best used for a natural look! It perks up the entire complexion without looking overdone! :D

Possible Dupes:
I dug out all my blushes for a comparison, and found out that the Secret beauty powder blush looks almost the same (it's one shade darker) as this blush!

However, upon swatching, they appear to be two distinct colors:

I then remembered that the True Romantic blush looks quite plummy pink as well, so i did a side by side comparison:

They do not look similar in the pan, BUT...

look at how similar they are when swatched:

They're basically the same color, with Blooming being a little more frosty than the former!! Still i did not regret getting Blooming, as it's such a pretty color! :D

All 3 blushes mentioned here side by side:

In a Nutshell:

A very natural blush that should work for almost all complexions! :D

Likes: Universally flattering, long lasting!
Gripes: None!
Repurchase: Yes!

Rating:
4.5 Stars ! Near HG Stuff!!

Blooming is described by MAC as "frosty deep dirty peach" and I would never purchase based off of that description. However, swatch pictures tempted me and the high reviews settled it. On my fair, cooler-toned skin, Blooming is a natural pink and in the pan, I see a bit of mauve in it. This is my first MAC frost and it does not look frosty to me at all (fortunately). I do wish this were not limited edition. As I am fair, I only need a little bit. This is buildable.

This blush is natural looking and has a shimmer which gives a healthy glow. It's a nude dirty pink, kind of like cubic which someone mentioned below. I love it. I can wear it year round. It's pretty pigmented...if you use a dense brush.
Too bad MAC can't make it permanent. sucks.

i really wanna get this blush because of the great review here in mua. but when i saw this, i hesitated. it was sooo light and i thought it will not show up on my NC25-30 skintone. then i read the word "FROST" at the back. uh-oh!!! i hate that formula. im about to leave the store but then i remember again the good reviews here. so i said, why not give this d*** blush a try?! oh well, the result was soooo gorgeous!!! very natural! it looks like im not wearing any blush but im glowing and blushing naturally! i love this! HG status!

I like this blush but it is so sheer, I sit there and build the color for like 5 minutes and still arent satisfied. I love it, but hte lack of pigment bugs me. Bleh.

NW15, light brown hair, blue-green eyes. On me this is a sheer but buildable pale pink blush with slight mauve undertones. I'd been looking for a pale pink blush that wasn't too "cotton candy" pink and this fits the bill perfectly. It is a frost formula, but I would describe this as more glowy than frosty. It looks like a very natural blush on my coloring.

I am SO in love with this blush. I almost didn't buy it because it looked too pink in the swatches I saw. But... I just happened to drop into a MAC store (I live 3 hours away from one). I tested this and Plum du Bois. Plum du Bois was too dark for me but Blooming was beautiful. It gives you a healthy pink glow and looks so natural. Its buildable, which I love. I am so so so happy I ended up getting this blush after all. I love it! Too bad its LE.
