Have black very curly/wavy coarse dry hair. Already use the Aveda Brilliant Styling Creme when my hair has dried and very pleased with it. Was looking for a serum and went with this based on reviews and impressed with Aveda already.

Been using for a year I think and on same bottle. Is pricey but there are some pricier products out there I think so marked it as 4 on price scale.

Does seem to last long time but bit frustrating you cant see how much you have left so 1 mark off for packaging. Pump action is great.

I would buy again as it really does help my hair. I apply 1-2 pumps when when my hair is wet/damp and either leave natural if having my curls out or blow dry. Either way it fights the frizz, has a nice smell (doesnt last) & imparts some shine. It doesnt make it greasier or heavier for me.

Although called style prep, I reckon it is best described as a creamy. Having used only high street ones before, this wins hands down. continued >>

As a previous cosmetology student at an Aveda Institute, I have had lots of time to work with the Aveda stying products. The Style Prep Smoother is one of my favorite products.
Not only for myself, but for ANYONE who uses any from of heat styling!!

The Style Prep Smoother goes a LONG long way! I have very fine, flat hair, and just a tiny almost half-pea sized amount it all I need. It doesn't weight my hair down or make it feel greasy or silicone-y.

For the price, and how little you need, it really is a worthwhile investment to protect your hair and keep it looking healthy.

I have wavy/curly hair and I have tried many products on the market to keep it straight and frizz free in the wet weather , nothing has ever really worked until I tried this product. But beware I have fine hair but quite lot of it and you only need the tinest amount otherwise by the end of the day you will end up with slightly greasy looking flat hair. If you have very fine hair I would not recommend buying it. I would say this product is best for meduim to thick hair. It is quite expensive but you only need a tiny bit at a time and it will probably last for ever. It's not a miracle product but it does at least keep my hair straighter in the damp weather than any other styling aid that I have tried.

This is a fantastic product for my hair - highlighted, fine but frizzy, a lot of hair, slightly wavy. I used to use the Aveda Elixir which felt quite a lot like this. I use this in a similar way - a 5p amount, smoothed into the lengths. It makes my hair so obedient! This is expensive, but with Aveda styling products, I find they last a long, long time, so the investment is worth it. I haven't found a High St product as an alternative.

The best hair product I have ever used and I've tired them all. Leaves my fine frizzy hair like silk all day and gives it great volume as an added bonus. Great pump container and divine smell.

I don't like to style my hair very often, so this is great to put in my damp hair and allow it to air dry without getting super frizzy. I can definitely see a difference when i don't use this. It's also great that it works as a heat protector, for the days I do style. I love the smell of aveda products and this is no exception. I will definitely repurchase!

This is one of the favorite products from the stylists at my local Aveda salon- they all use it and try to push it everytime I go.
You apply a pump on your damp hair before blowdrying.
I find that it works pretty good but is very expensive. I much prefer Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum to this.

I use this product in the winter when my hair needs a little extra insulation due to the temperature changes and the drying heat. It's very lightweight and doesn't weigh down my fine hair at all. It just provides slip and keeps it from feeling too dry and frizzy. I love it! One pump works for my hair which is a little below my shoulders.

I like this stuff a LOT. To me it's a weightless leave-in conditioner that helps tame frizzies and adds a little shine. Only takes two squirts in my shoulder-length hair. Of course, you still need a styling product - this provides no hold, but it does smooth the hair.

I'm in love with this stuff! My mom gave this to me because she started using a different line of products. She gave me a couple of products from Aveda and I have to say that this one is the only one I really liked. I have thick, curly, frizzy hair and this helps tame the frizz. I still have frizzy hair when I use this, but it is no where near as bad as when I don't. I also like that it helps prevent heat damage. I don't really like the smell of the product. It is kind of weird. The packaging is very nice. I'm not sure how much this cost since my mom gave it to me, but I know Aveda products are pretty expensive. I would say this is worth the money though.
