For me, this is just an ‘ok’ color. By no means is it an ‘ugly’ color, I just don’t think it’s a very ‘pretty’ color. You absolutely must do two coats, because one coat is horrible. The second coat makes the color ‘come-to-life’ as you’re able to detect more dimension in the polish. It appears to be a blackish-brown color, but in the sun or if you look real closely you can see a touch of burgundy shimmer. I don’t think I would buy this product again, mainly because there are other shades that I like better, that are very similar.
I absolutely adore this color. It is my HG polish. I have never in my life gone through an entire bottle of polish but I have gone through 2 MIM and am on my 3rd! It's FAB!

This is my first OPI polish purchase. A very unique color. It is a blackish brown color from far away but when you look closer the color has very fine maroon shimmer in it, especially when light hits your nails. This color is a dark, vampy color and the shimmer gives the color added dimension. The only con is that for me, this polish chips easily. I apply a base coat and 2 coats of the OPI polish and then a quick dry top coat and still have chipping. Overall, this is a very unique, pretty color and I would repurchase. I will update this review as I try different top coats to prevent chipping.
I went to the store looking for a deep currant-like color and this is what I came out with. Although it wasn't exactly what I expected, I love this. It's really dark, almost black, with the perfect amount of red/brown undertones and it looks absolutely gorgeous with paler skin. I'm sure it would look lovely with any skin tone as well. It's a little bit shimmery but it's just the right amount. I love this shade for winter.
Two words ----> TOTAL HOTNESS!
Midnight in Moscow is a must if you're a fan of the vampies! This is a rich blackened red that just looks stunning on tips or toes. This is very deep and I could see this looking fabulous on just about anyone. This is basically a soft black infused with red shimmer (not frost) and 2 coats of this is IMO a gorgeous vampy manicure shade. Applies like a dream and wears well. Totally love this during the winter! continued >>

OPIs Midnight in Moscow is a very dark, chocolate brown that looks black from a distance, with hints of burgundy in it. Imo there's is nothing really special about this color since I can barely see the burgundy in it, so I will not repurchase this one. If you like really dark colors or black nail polish, then you will probably like this one.
This polish is awesome! It is my current favorite OPI, and I wear it often. It is the perfect addition to my look, as most of my wardrobe consists of black or dark colored clothing. It is smooth, easy to apply, and long lasting.
I like that the dark red/maroon shimmer only really shows up in bright light. It is a pleasant surprise every time, because I am so used to wearing black on my nails.
This looks great on toes and fingers alike.
This is my official introduction to OPI nail polish. I've never been big into nails, but recently fell in love with the array of shades available from China Glaze. Lubu Heels knocked my socks off in the bottle but was disappointing on my nails, and I had heard it compared to Midnight in Moscow, so it stuck with me. When I went to Ulta they had a "buy $17 of OPI and get free drip-dry/top coat sale" so I went and picked up two shades. Talk about expensive! Anyway, color me disappointed when I tried this shade and found that in most light it simply appears to be just another deep chocolate brown. There's a very subtle red shimmer to it, but too subtle for my taste. I thought that at $8.50 a bottle the difference would at least come down to application and wear. Application-wise I fumble with the wide brush, but I imagine it takes some getting used to. The formula seems smooth and doesn't dry too quickly during application--but then again took quite a long time to dry. Wear-wise I got chipping and tip wear within a day. OPI is definitely a good quality polish but I wouldn't buy this one again!

Love Love Love it. I bought this on a whim after seeing the beautiful red shimmer. And after having my manicurist apply it, I'm so glad I did! The colour is as true as it appeared in the bottle. And it's definitely not a brown-black as some people seem to think. The fine red shimmer in the polish only gives it the appearance of a brownish tint. It's a a lovely, rich colour. Goes on ultra glossy, fantastic staying power. Will buy again!
