I generally really like Almay's makeup remover products. I swear by the Oil-Free liquid and wipes. However, while the Moisturizing variety does do the trick of removing waterproof eyeliners and liquid liners that just scoff at the oil-free -- this product also makes my eyes swell, get red, and burn! I first noticed this a few weeks ago. I don't normally use this product daily because the oil-free removes my normal makeup just fine. But that day I needed extra help removing some eyelashes. Well, the next day I woke up with eyelids so red and swollen that I looked disfigured. Luckily I was working from home that day and didn't have to go out in public. I had to spend much of the day with cool cloths over my eyes.

So, yeah, this one is not so good in my book. Wouldn't buy again.

SO. FREAKING. OILY AHHH OMG! Removing my makeup with this feels like rubbing a slab of bacon on my face! Every time I use this I have to go over my face again with a couple clean cotton pads, and even that doesn't get it all gone. Aside from being super greasy, it does an adequate job of removing makeup but it's not good enough to suffer the oiliness. Would not repurchase.

this is a great eye makeup remover. some my think it's too oily, but for the way i use it, it's perfect! i jus put the liquid on each eye and rub it in till all my makeup is removed & then i wash my face with a cleanser. you are supposed to wash your face after you use this. you can't jus put it on and then your done. continued >>

Way too oily for me. It was like putting baby oil on my eyes. I had to wash my face 3 times to get it off! It made my eyes blurry and burn! And it never even took my makeup completely off!.

I recently bought this product and I hate it! It was definitely not worth the $6 I paid for it! Not only is it very annoying to open (similar to the cap on medicine bottles) but the product is VERY oily! It does remove my eye makeup pretty well but I can not stand the oily residue it leaves behind. I always have to wash my face after using this product. I would not recommend or re purchase.

Stay away from this makeup remover! I was happy with the waterproof eyeliner so I decided to try out their makeup remover. Horrible mistake. I had to go through at least 5 cotton rounds to get ALL my makeup off. And the thing is I only wear eyeliner and mascara on a daily basis. It is fairly expensive for drugstore brand and you don't really get a lot of product for the price.

I didn't think it did a very good job. It took me a long time to get my mascara to come off (it wasn't waterproof) and kinda stung my eye area. Would not repurchase.

I wish that when I was younger that someone had taught me that in order to remove waterproof makeup you must use an oil based makeup remover.

It would have saved me years of breakouts. I use this to remove my makeup not just my eye makeup. I do not apply this with a cotton ball. I don't have time or patience to play with it like that. I pour a small amount of this in my palm, rub my hands together and rub this all over my face and quickly over my eyes to start dissolving my eye makeup.

I then begin to remove it with tissues. I reapply and remove with tissues. Then I apply it to a cotton ball and get the last bit of eye makeup off.

Once and only once I have every bit of makeup off, I can cleanse my skin correctly. I made the mistake for years thinking I could wash off water proof makeup and cleanse my skin at the same time. That's a huge no go for me. I absolutely must get that makeup off and this does the trick. Then I can cleanse my skin and afterwards apply treatments and they can do their job overnight.

I think it's important to seperate the steps of makeup removal and cleansing. Not all of us are born with beautiful carefree skin and there are some of us that need to be very diligent in skin care. If you fall into that category please consider to add that step into your regimine. I am teaching my daughters this step and they haven't had makeup related problems with their skin so far. They inherited my needy skin too.

This product works just as well as high end oil based removers and is less costly. I highly recommend it for those with oily problematic skin. Trust me on this one. Just make sure to wash the makeup remover completely from your skin.

I really don't like this product. It does usually remove most of my makeup, but it seriously burns and stings my eyes/eyelids and is extremely oily. I actually dread having to take off my eye makeup when this is the only remover I have. I'm trying to use up the bottle so I don't waste it, but I would NEVER buy this again. This stuff is just terrible...and anything BUT moisturizing! Save your money-don't but this!

I always buy this when I can't find my Neutrogena makeup remover. It's like half as good. It doesn't remove all my mascara and it makes my eyes burn. For people who think this is the best makeup remover they've ever used, you need to try Neutrogena. It gets every last trace of mascara within seconds.
