This scrub used to be good... but then Olay went and changed it (not just the packaging and price). IIRC, the Thermal Scrub used to run about $12 MSRP and was really really effective, then Olay pulled it off shelves, redid the formula/packaging and jacked up the price $7!!! It really isn't worth it in the new packaging.

The heat element is soothing, but it sure doesn't last long. The crystals in the scrub are small enough that I don't feel like I'm ripping up my skin, but it doesn't seem like there are enough in the mix to do some good scrubbing! The cream base seems heavier than the original, and the fragrance has stayed the same.

I'm disappointed that they made changes in the formula, since the original was a daily use item for me and helped fade acne scars on my cheeks... the new incarnation doesn't live up to its predecessor. I'm gonna try the Olay philosophy scrub dupe next...

I can't believe I have just got around to reviewing this. It's been a long time since I've used it though. I used to use the entire line of Olay Regenerist products before exploring higher end brands and really, I'd put almost everything (almost but not quite) in the category of mega-higher-end when it comes to results. I used to use this with the Regenerist Daily Regenerating Cleanser, Regenerating Serum, UV Defense Regenerating Lotion, Continuous Night Repair Cream, and Eye Derma Pods. A couple of these are pretty weak but check my other reviews to see that.


This particular product I used after the Daily Regenerating Cleanser and it was indeed moisturizing and exfoliating. Does a good job and can be used daily. Definitely good for those with drier skin types. Really makes the skin feel smooth after cleansing. continued >>

Gimicky, and not really successful at that. Slap it on fast or you will miss the heat altogether. The 're-heat' claim is simply untrue. It is thin so if you try to "leave it on" throughout your bath/shower it WILL seep into your eyes (OUCH!) and mouth (YUCK!). I also suspect that it is the cause of some irritation breakout - small, red inflamation type pimples, as opposed to clogged pores.

I will be sticking with my wonderful Regenerist Daily Regenerating Cleanser.

this product wasn't bad it was so expensive and not worth it at all it is filled with harmful chemicals and smells horrible. i got better results doing an asprin mask

This stuff is works best if you leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes. During those 5 to 10 minutes I gently massaged my face with it. I was very impressed with the refreshed results it left my skin looking. The texture of my skin was improved and the dry flaky stuff that was on my checks is now gone. The warming did not last long but I really didn't care. I am using this stuff at night after I wash all my make-up off. Then I put this stuff on. I think I am only going to use this about 2 to 3 times a week as I have sensitive skin. Will update later to let you know how everything is going.

HELL NO I would not buy this product again! Probably the worst product EVER! I hate this thing! I left me with these permanent red dots on my cheeks, and my skin reacted so badly to this, I wish I never tried this product.

OMG I adore this product so much, it's bordering on ridiculous, lol. This product has made my skin glow like no other product has been able to. I have normal, sometimes dehydrated skin, no blemishes ever, that is very healthy and clear, but was lacking a glow. I stumbled upon this product at the supermarket, looked it up on this wonderful site, saw the raves and hopped straight out to buy some. And that was the best thing I have done for my skin in a long time, it is just that good. I have been using it everyday for the past two months and my skin hasn't looked this good since I was pregnant a year ago. It is uber smooth and silky soft, and my foundation just glides on to my face now and has never looked better. This product is a god send for me, and I have recommended it to my Mum, best friend, Aunties, EVERYBODY i know, and they have all loved it too. My husband jokes that I should be getting commison from Olay for increasing their sales, lol. I use this every day, I leave it on for about 5-10 mins to allow the glycolic acid do it's thinga and my skin never feels tight or dry afterwards, just super fresh, clean and smooth, love!! I once skipped this on a night that I was so exhausted, and the next day my skin looked blah, I was just so used to the glow I always wake up to. It is really economical, which makes me love it even more, and I would cry if they ever discontinued it.

i had heard good things about this product so i tried it out - i used it once in the shower and my skin had a big reaction to it - the whole of one side of my face went pimply and felt like i had a rash for probably a good week or more. then it went extremely dry and no matter wot moisturiser i used it was just completely dried out and very rough. i dnt no why i had such a reaction to this - when i used it, i felt like it was going to work and it the warming sensation is nice and feels like its doing your skin good, the next day my skin did look glowing but then after tht it just completely turned. it had to be this product bcuz nothing else had changed in my routine, i had been using my cleanser for a few weeks and nothing. very strange - my skin is quite sensitive and does tend to react to 'strong' products so this may be why, im thinking it might have been too 'harsh'. so if u have sensitive skin i wud give this a miss.

I tried this product at my mothers, she had been telling me how great it was. This made my skin look like it was glowing! My husband was totally facinated that a product could change the way my skin looked that quickly. I got two compliments that first day I used it on how pretty my complexion looked. I use it about twice a week now and it's effects are lasting. I love this product and will keep buying it!

I got this at discount at boots so I didn't pay full price for it, however taking it back home and using it a few times I am far from impressed. I don't feel it is an effective scrub and it seems to leave a filmy residue behind. The thermal warming feels more like a gimmick. I'll try to use this up to exfoliate other parts of my body but after I finish this, I will definitely not be re-purchasing.
