This was recommended to me by a saleswoman for my under-eye circles and darkness around my mouth....did not find that it helped very much and it was obvious I was wearing it. For the small amount that it helped, this is not worth $30CAD in my opinion.
I have mixed feelings about this concealer. It does provide really thick coverage, so it covers really well. But it doesnt stay on very long and it flakes off. This product looks really unnatural because it is so thick. I also find that it is very orange. You can definately tell where it is on your face. Most likely won't buy this again.
I'm a concealer junkie. I have found a few that I use on a regular basis, under foundation but, I need additional coverage for some blemishes here and there. I prefer to use a tube concealer for this because anything in a pot will just cake up on me. This concealer was a perfect match is shade 3. When I say perfect I mean PERFECT. It is identical to my skin tone. I am so lucky. The consistency of the product is smooth, very easy to blend, and easy to build coverage. Use sparingly because a little goes a long way. I think this covers so well and is perfect for wearing over foundation. I had the SA recommend this to me and I couldn't be more happy. I will be buying this again.
I needed a full coverage concealer capable of covering minor acne without sinking into the slightly dry areas of my combination skin. This concealer was a real disappointment; even a drugstore full coverage concealer like Revlon Colorstay works as well.
The good: It is full coverage and the color match was decent. Feels light and non-cakey.
The bad: sinks into lines and dry areas immediately when I'm not wearing primer underneath, and in about an hour if I am wearing primer. Doesn't cover under-eye area well.
I didnt like this concealer at all. Its decent for covering imperfections on the face but will definitely crease within an hour or so of application. Horrid for under eye circles.Only good thing I can say is it lasts a long time considering you don't need a lot. Overall definitely not worth the money at all.
Got this from Sephora after asking for a full coverage concealer with good lasting power. While this is definitely a decent coverage concealer, the lasting power is minimal. I found that this doesn't last all day and will be returning it to Sephora in hopes of finding a product that performs like I want it to.
I got a sample of this before reading reviews on MUA. I really like it and ended up buying it after I finished the sample.
It could probably use a setting powder. Good colors for more neutral skintones. The Sephora girl said it doesn't have as good staying power as MUFE full cover, but I haven't really found that to be true. I use it for blemishes and red marks. You only need a very tiny amount. I wouldn't rec. it for undereyes b/c it seems to thick and it's not easily spreadable. Makes my skin look really nice, and doesn't break me out.
**EDIT: Saw myself in a different light when putting this on the other day and realized it's the wrong color. VERY yellow. Returned it.
There are a lot of concealers I have always wanted to try out but I decided to try this one. I have the color in shade e which is a tiny shade lighter. I'm in between shade e and f. It covers blemishes nicely but it doesn't do well for my super dark circles. It lasts for a long time so i don't have to keep reapplying. It hasn't settled into the creases.
This concealer is probably the only concealer that matches my skin to a t and it does not break me out. It is a little thick but if you warm it up it gets more pliable. It gives me medium coverage and the finish is natural, not too matte not to sparkly. Not the most long lasting concealer in the market (I get about 4 hours of wear), but for the finish and color I can just retouch it. The price is also a bit steep but I've had this concealer for almost 6 months so its okay. There are probably better concealers out there, but for not causing me to break out and the color being perfect match, I'll continue to use it.
I bought this on sale because it costed as much as a L'Oreal drugstore concealer and Stila is a better brand. I am very pale and so I bought the lightest shade. A. Second day I regretted buying it even at the cheap price - it's very thick, and sticky, and I mean really really sticky, so difficult to blend and it made lines appear under my eyes where the skin usually looks pretty normal. Then i bought something else and now I returned to Stilla because I still had it and I thought maybe I just don't know how to blend it.
This is not the best concealer I've tried, but if you give it your time it can work. However for me, for shade A, I need a foundation with it, I cannot use it just to hide because it is rather visible compared to naked skin.
Now I use it like this - a very small dot under each eye that I very slightly blend very carefully because it's so sticky. After a couple of seconds I use a normal foundation blush and also very lightly touching I brush it under my eye and very gently pad until the limits of the zone concealed start to almost disappear. Then I have to wait some more seconds before using eyeshadows and foundation.
I have tried settling it with loose or pressed powder but don't! To me, this only increased the appearance of new lines and the visibility of every skin cell. You just have to let it dry on its own.
It hides fairly well, and lasts fairly well.
I will not buy this again but it's not a disaster. I only told you how I made it work for me for those who paid full price for this one and are reluctant to just shove it away.
EDIT: This concealer is best for undereye if you use it properly. Mostly it doesn't sustain all eye creams underneath. I discovered if I just use my eye cream at night and in the morning w/ no eye cream just the Stila concealer my look is flawless and the concealing power is even better than EL's DW Concealer (which says a lot). I really love this concealer and I will give it full 5 lippies because lately w/ the bad sleep not YSL Touche Eclat helps me, but only this Stila concealer saves my day.
