Love love love. These were my first beauty addiction - what really pulled me in - and I have never turned back. I have - or had - almost every one buy this point, and even through the years, they have never let me down. The shade range is also very impressive, as well as the staying power & pigmentation. My go-to gloss, always. continued >>
I love it! Perfect plum colr andnot sticky at all.
Whenever I enter MAC I always love to look at the display of Tinted Lipglass. The array of colors is exceptional and are uniquely MAC. These are the most beautiful lipglosses I've ever seen or used, but I cannot use them. My skin is extremely sensitive and I remember being allergic to Bonne-Bell lipsmackers when I was in middle school, but I didn't think a high-quality brand would break me out so I went to San Francisco and bought a few. After a week of use I noticed the same rash on my face I would get after using the Bonne Bell lipsmackers. I waited a few weeks and tried them again with the same disappointing results. I figured that I just got weird ones, so I bought one more in Viva Glam V. That too, caused an allergic reaction. I believe it is the fragrance that my skin is so sensitive to (MAC uses Vanillin.)
Despite the negative reaction, I still loved how glossy and wet my lips looked, even with very light application. The colors are breathtaking and I haven't seen a lipgloss that's more gorgeous (I have Prrr, Viva Glam V, Nymphette, Nico and Oyster Girl.) The texture is thicker and richly creamy, which I adore. The sheen is like vinyl and is extremely sexy. It lasts for about 4 hours on me which is crazy! It may not be as glossy as it was at first application but the color was still on my lips.
The packaging is very sleek and simple- just showing off the beautiful color inside. The lipglasses are admittedly quite expensive for $14US, but they're worth it if you don't mind vanilla scent or slightly-thick texture. I recommend you consider these lipglosses next time you're looking for a new one!
MAC tinted lipglasses are my favorite type of glosses! All the tinted lipglasses that I have ever chosen, are HIGHLY pigmented, last FOREVER on, and give you instant SUPER STAR status. They are sticky, but not as sticky as those dazzleglasses, but like someone else said, if they weren't sticky, they wouldn't last as long. They obviously wear off a bit throughout the day, but I eat and drink throughout the day, and by the end of the day, those things are still on my lips!!!! They leave a slight stain, sparkle and minor shine after the majority of the gloss has worn off! Other glosses I have tried, just make my lips look kinda wet and wear off completely in less than an hour! I don't know what it is about MAC that make you look like a super star! Other lipglosses have sparkle but seriously, you wear MAC, and you look like a superstar. It's not the price or the name brand, many MAC products really are high quality. These lipglasses are HG status!!!!!!!!!!! I could go on forever...
I go to MAC for color for a reason. Their colors, be it eye shadow, blush or lippie, offer so much more dimension to each color than any other brand I have tried (from Chanel - Cover Girl!). Their lipglosses are another perfect example. Every other gloss brand I try feels too flat, boring or too glitter bombish. MAC's offer perfections like Love Nectar or Pink Grapefruit - colors, dimensions, I have not found in any other gloss. People will complain about these being sticky, but that is what makes these have the lasting power and the shine they have. Every other gloss I have tried feels useless, pointless (cuz it is off so fast), bland compared to MAC's. If you don't like sticky, try a lustreglass...those are still light years better than Glossimers (heck Revlon and L'Oreal are better than those). I challenge you to find one l/g out there that offers such dynamic colors with such a multi-dimensional feel. All other glosses just feel like I am slapping something on my lips. MAC's feel like I am transforming my lips!
Eww, this stuff is sticky and the color is okay, not worth the price, will not repurchase.
I have owned many, many MAC lipglasses over the years and I keep telling myself not to buy anymore! However, with all the collections MAC releases it's just madness. Ever since I discovered my love for Chanel Glossimers a couple months back, I have no more interest for lipglasses in general. I have depotted most of them for B2M.
MAC usually launches many different limited edition shades with each collection and while many of them are beautiful shades where it fails is in the formula (which I'll get to in a bit). Granted, there are so many colors you will most likely find something that suits your fancy. They come in an array of finishes - cream, shimmer, sheer, opaque - you name it. Most of the shimmery ones I have tried are not gritty, however the shimmer can be a little too 'teeny-bopper' for my liking. They also impart a very high-shine loo to the lips, hence the name.
On to the formula. Lipglasses are very, very sticky and thick. Word of caution: if you plan to wear this on a date or a windy day - it will stick to anything that touches it lol. They are also inconsistent because I have owned some where they were either thinner or thicker compared to others. Alone, if I try to layer it on thinly, I find it very hard to spread. If I put too much on it will become stringy between the lips and will literally droop off my lips. I think they are best to wear over a base such as a lipstick because then it will have something other than your lips to hold on to. They become much smoother that way. BUT, I cannot deny the fact that they do last quite a long time on my lips (around 5 hours which is unheard of for me) while drinking water. It really does excel in this area. They have the generic vanilla scent which will fade after a while. The tube will lose it's vanilla scent after repeated exposure and will start tasting plastic-like. Also, if you open a new tube, use it, then leave it for a while - it will separate but that's not a big concern for me. They don't dry my lips out however they do make them peel after a while since my lips are a bit sensitive.
It comes is a little tube ~4 inches with a black cap. The lipglass has a doe-foot applicator which I prefer. The black typesetting on the tube will wear off with repeated use. One tube has 0.17fl oz of product (which is large for me because every time I try to finish one of these, they just never seem to run out!) for $17.50CAN a piece. Overall, I am not planning to purchase another lipglass again even if there is a shade I like. It is too high maintenance for me. If you don't mind the texture then by all means, go for it! There are many, many gorgeous colors and is worth the investment if you're just starting out.
I have plenty of lipglass product in various shades because they are so easy to apply & wear however, I dont like to wear them when Im with my husband because of having to worry about the stickiness. I also dont like wearing these when its windy because my hair blows in them & then I have stickiness in my hair.
Its a great little product packed with great colours & i definitely have my fav colours (cherry blossom, c-thru) but sometimes i prefer to wear big-girl lipstick instead. its a time & place product...right time, right place! continued >>
Love this product!!! Get Pamela Anderson lips in seconds! I use a neutral lip liner and go ever so slightly bigger than my natural lip line and use MAC Lipglass for instantly fuller looking lips! I would definately buy this product again.
Love the wide range of colours available. I find that textures do vary between different colours, but none are too sticky. They go on well and create a very shiny sheen. Definitely not for those who are looking for more subtle shine.
